Last questions before cooking...

I decided to use Visual Kitchen 1.5 to cook my ROM, but i have a few questions. After i dumped the contents of my original UK R3AA010.nbh i saw that the kitchen uses XPR compression. I was thinking about not compressing anything for the purpose of speed. Can it be done? And something else i would like to learn. The file that will be created in the end will contain only the OS part and not the radio and SPL that came from the original ROM right? Thank you. Wish me luck...
1-
NBH has many parts: OS, radio, splash 1, etc...
most cookers (if not "all") only include OS part
but you can include anything you want (outside a stock kitchen, using NBHtools)
2-
uncompressed ROM ???
huh... it wouldn't fit
MS, HTC, Sony, Samsung they all use XPR
Just a couple of small devices use LZX (better compress ratio, but also slower to decompress in real time use)
OK. Thank you gtrab.

Other than the other languages, what's the point when we have 2.1 already o.o
True but some people like the phone to support their own languages.
Oh I see just wondering how it would be useful. Thanks for clarifying!
correct bidi support?
Does this rom supports BIDI? meaning, if you write in arabic/hebrew (ofcourse when installing the corresponding fonts) and then adding numbers to the line, will the line be aligned to the right, the numbers will appear correctly and not opposite (as it does in today's roms?)
Rami
Full mentioned languages support i.e. no need to add anything to it.
Why not purchase an already localized phone or the international version to begin with? No offense meant. Just curious.
There is no localised version of this phone as of yet. Just of the I9000. And that even wasn't officially released yet.
so if I understood correctly, the bidi support is working ok ?
is it possible to incorporate the corresponding bidi support into bionix's Rom?

Below files if get signed and flashed to Eclair 2.1, can make it support above mentioned languages. This just a support in form of reading text and numbers correct way but with no language keyboard support.
libskia.so (from System/Lib)
libwebcore.so (from System/Lib)
libskiagl.so (from System/Lib)
DroidSansFallback.ttf (from System/Fonts)
Is this the same files from ce4arab.com by XQ55? It seems to be the same thing and it has the same bugs.

It is not always possible I am now in the US so I have to buy phone from here to have 3G support and also warranty on the device but I still need arabic support
This is one of the things I like about the iPhone is that it uses the same rom (including all languages that are supported) no matter where you buy it from.

I'm not sure if this is going to work, I did take these file, zip them, sign zipped file, flash it and then the phone stock on Vibrant logo.
I wish it would work, maybe I have done something wrong.
For some reason it didn't work for me. After restoring is completed and the phone is starting up I only hear the sound and see the Vibrant logo. After 10 minutes of waiting I just took off the battery. Tried the "factory reset" but it haven't changed anything. What should I do?
If the phone does not boot up then flash Vibrant Stock Kernel as mentioned.
Any update about fixing the GPS?

Can someone running Lollipop Stock give me the keylayout?

It should be found in /system/usr/keylayout/ and should be labeled as Generic.kl.
Or if you are a curious KitKat Stock or Custom rom user, you can send me those too. They should be in the same folder.
Any help would be great
I would love to help you but only have AVRCP.kl, Generic.kl, gpio-keys.kl, and qwerty.kl, and then a few labeled Vendor followed by other things. Would the qwerty or generic ones be of any use?
Side note, unreleated, how's UberSlim working out for you? I decided to go with a debloated 5.0.2 (LP xTreme v1.0 base D41520b) but want to bump up to 5.1.1...

Disregard my PM
I hadn't realized I can attach stuff, despite being a new poster, by going advanced mode on my computer. Here you go. I had to add it to a .zip because it wouldn't accept a .kl file for an upload, but I can assure you that's the only file in there. Remember, this is from stock but debloated 5.0.2 from a D415
