So I have to post a few times just so I can be "verified' in order to create a thread for my theme. So some posts will be done just to get this over with.
You could at least post something about your theme you know
make it worthwile and interesting...otherwise instead of starting a pointless thread...go the the three word story thread and go nuts
I could talk about the theme, but just talking about it makes it feel just like every other theme out there. Now, posting screenshots gives the eye something pretty to look at, and helps to distinguish the theme from others.

It is for CyanogenMod. It is for all three ports. There is a thread on the forums over there. The theme name is Extremely Blue.

It is a theme indeed. I just took it a step further by building it from source. IMHO, it gives an extra bit of stability while running. I maintain all of my source images and overlay integration scripts on github.
Well...in that case and since I'm insane in the membrane (90's rap reference ) I'll download it and try it!!

GUIDELINES:
Ok, some people dont seem to get what threads live up to standards and what doesn't for this thread (makes sense?)
So, these are the following requirements that a thread needs to have to deserve to be in this thread:
A thread needs to have: At least 300-500 or more posts.
A thread needs to have: An interesting topic.
A thread needs to have: Is constantly receiving replies ('Constantly' here means at least 8 pots to it a week).
If a thread doesn't have any of these standards, then please dont recommend the thread. But feel free to recommend threads that have these standards.

No, because it only has 100-400 (?) replies. Popular and hot threads usally contain 500-1000 And more! Maybe in the future,
EDIT: What i mean to say it, it doesn't live up to standards of being in this thread, however, when it reaches to about, say 500-600 posts, i might consider it

Hello everyone,
I've been pondering over some project to divert my time on and well recently I've begun to notice the somewhat unorganized mess XDA has become. So I thought of the fabulous idea of creating a new website made strictly for ROMs, Kernels, Rooting, & Unlocking Bootloaders. The website would have separate sections for each device, then differing versions of the device, then for android version, and then finally for type of development. For example AT&T Galaxy S3 CM12 rom would be found under Galaxy S3>AT&T>Lollipop>Roms>Cyanogenmod 12.
Get it? Super organized, super easy to find things.
What do you guys think? Is this something worth investing my time in? Or should I just give u on this little project? Be brutally honest please. After all there is no point on building a website that nobody will ever use.

Your biggest issue is people dont really leave xda. Developer wise most are keen to stay here because support and friends are here i imagine. Also logistically trying to support even half the phones xda does and have it so organised into just what the phones are compatible with, along with paired Q&A + general threads would be immensely time consuming and would require more than a few people to keep up with the flow. Not even considering user mistakes with roms added in the wrong forum. While it would be a good idea i wouldnt attempt it. The mods are always willing to listen to new ideas to help keep the forums tidy though. Maybe try help out closer to home?

They mainly just don't agree with how XDA runs things, you can read more about DU on Dev's Base, stuff like that. That's where they post stuff.

Not much. Alex didn't like XDA's direction, which seems fair. Creates new site to recreate what once was, admin gets upset, escalates things. Too much drama for me.
I wholeheartedly agree with the "glorified tech support" thing though. It seems most people here can't even pull up proper logs when they have issues. "issue here plz fix o kind dev."
I think XDA has become more of a tech site instead of an actual developer website, albeit developers still post here. If you look at Dev's Base, it doesn't have the completely off topic posts that XDA does. Not saying its a bad thing that XDA does, it just seems Dev's base is a dev site not a tech site.
What firmware are you all using on the new Jan18 build?
Have you tried and success to install Viper4android or any audio mod ?

Dude bugger off. They don't care if we discuss it. As long as no links to downloads are posted here. Look below a few threads and you'll see a discussion about DU that was active over a year. Never got shutdown cause it didn't violate any rules. I don't know why we needed a new thread though.

Sorry if I came across harsh, and discussion is allowed. Just don't see the point of doing it here, when you could get responses from people who actually develop this ROM over on their G+. That's what I really meant, don't see point in this thread. Discussing it is allowed.

IDK, the large majority of Dev's Base seems to not be there for "tech" stuff. Considering the current lead of the site, I doubt it will change either. Its possible though.

It's only possible to keep the site that way if it remains small or if they ban every new user that doesn't know enough.
Looking at their G+ page and at what some DU users ask here on XDA, it's clear not everyone is a genius. Allow normal users to create accounts and install your fancy ROM and then you have a typical XDA thread with dumb questions.
The rom zip has been removed from their download area, is there a problem with it
