I have been working on getting vanilla android to work on the Tattoo as I am not a big fan of all the modifications that HTC have done to their rom.
I am now launching the first usable version of the rom.
Phone calls and sms work, so does wifi, camera, gps and sensors.( thanks to fyodor)
Camera works only in android 1.6 I'll try it in 1.5 latter on today.
All aplications work.
Bluetooth and fm radio aren't working yet.
For the next release I'll be focusing on getting bluetooth to work.
The rom comes in two flavours :
ANDROID 1.5

this should be 120 i guess... try it & let us know what is the result....
They are the same modifications to init.rc that worked for the 2.1 rom but have no effect what so ever for 1.6 .
I might be missing something. I extract the boot.img and I add that line to the end of the init.rc file. Should I be doing something else too?
I'll try with 120 once I'm sure I'm editing it corectly.

Thanks mainfram3. Just got touchscreen to work.
I'm uploading now version 0.002.
So it seems that camera doesn't work, wifi, bluetooth and gps.
I suspect some would be fixed in the build.prop maybe someone else can check it out too. I'm calling it a night.
The rom feels very fast and finally a grey task bar.
Take it for a spin and see how it goes.

To fix WiFi you need to compile the proper driver against your kernel source or use HTCs kernel + their wlan.ko.
For bluetooth take a look at the files in /system/etc.
And gps is related to libgps.so
I am using the HTC kernel + their wlan.ko and I'm still not getting any results.

I just finished uploading the 1.5 rom. It has working wifi. I'm now working on getting wifi to work on 1.6 too and I'll upload that one later during the day.
Is 1.6 rom fully working?
Camera, gps, bluetooth and accelerometer aren't working yet.
Any help in getting them to work is highly wellcomed.

Personally I find that, as is, the ROM is responsive enough for me, solid and reliable, I have found that with setCPU running (with standard Kernel) that I get some momentairy freezes and momentairy freezes accepting calls, just so that your aware of this... with HCDR.Jaccob 4.1 Kernel I couldn't say if the same problem exists as not tested...

I didn't want all the three stuff, just wanted to be able to log in to My3 which is something you cannot do without having Planet 3 installed.
I have been running this rom since yesterday and not found any problems with it so far.

There is that I suppose but it's easier if there is a direct click that you don't have to log in to each time.

Set it as a bookmark. There shouldn't be a log in if you are accessing over 3's network.
Is wireless tether not working in this ROM? Can anyone confirm? Ive tried it on 2 wildfires and multiple computers.
It seems to work, but it doesn't alert me to the connection and the computer has no internet despite the wireless connection being there.

The tether issue is a kernel issue.
My kernel seems to only enable tethering in froyo as well, not eclair for some reason.
If I get time I can compile you a kernel which is completely stock but with wireless tether enabled

What i would really like to see with this ROM is something very similar to the WildPuzzle Eclair 1.0.1 (this rom was missing the reboot option on the powerscreen and then reboot into recovery option) but with the 3 boot screen and maybe some of the apps and obviously android wifi tether working on one of them.
Jacob says its his kernel causing the tether issue, but im sure ive ran his kernels before on my eclair wildfire and had wifi tether working, also with the standard kernel ive not had it working recently. Wildpuzzle eclair 1.0 was the last distro i had it working on if that helps isolating the problem?
Just out of interest did front button wake work in this rom, i forgot to try it when i tried the rom.

Wifi Tether works for me on this rom. My pc picked it up straight away and got internet page up straight from the off. I don't mess with kernels and setting cpu etc so it's not that I've done anything to make it work.
Strange, it doesn't work for me with this ROM or Wildpuzzle Eclair 1.0.1? If its not the ROM what could it be? Any ideas anyone?

Well so I flashed the Sense 2.2 rom based on the vodafone release yesterday and everything seems to work just fine.. However I can't seem to find a compatible version of DSP-settings This is really irritating since spotify sounds quite lame without it..
How do I install DSP-settings (or a similar app) on this rom? I just can't get it working, my legend freezer if I flash the dsp.zip that I used on the Azure rom.

I tried it with Rom Manager and i tried to copy the files manually, but when i replace the original libaudioflinger.so with the one from the DSPManager the phone freezes at the white HTC screen. :-(
The App itselfs starts with the originial libaudioflinger.so - but Settings of course don't have any effect because the libaudioflinger.so is not the modified one.
I hope someone can manage to make a working libaudioflinger.so - this would be awesome!
Update: I also tried to use the libaudioflinger.so from the newest stable cyanogenmod for Legend - but also no success....
Man this really sucks there has to be some version that works for sense 2.2. I mean seriously; dsp manager was freakin' sweet!! I can't understand why nobody seem to miss it...
Is there really nobody who knows how to get a working equalizer to sense 2.2 for the legend??

Yeah I've got the same problem.. seems the file isn't compatible with the legend... I just can't believe the libaudoflinger.so that works on the Desire is that different from the one we have on our phones I mean both devices are running Sense 2.2...
Perhaps some awesome dev could save the day and take a look a the file?? *wink *wink* ;-) I mean it can't be that hard to port it to the legend and it would certainly make A LOT of people very, very happy

Ok just tested this Rom and have to say its much smoother then the Sensation Sense 3
I have left a message on MDJ's original DHD thread requesting him to release this Rom for Vivo as well
Now lets come to the problems in this Rom.
WiFi not working out of the box. I was getting error while starting the WiFi so I installed MDJ's V2 Kernel and that started the WiFi, it finds the networks and lets you select your network but just stay at obtaining IP address and never past that point.
Tried re-flashing it a couple of times but no use
Cellular network is not stable either and it just loose signal completely after every couple of mins
It supports EXT3 file system only and if you have EXT4 on your system the Rom installation will convert it to EXT3 and later converting it to EXT4 will not boot your phone and you'll either have to convert it back to EXT3 or reflash
Apart from these the Rom looks very promising and I would love to use it as my regular Rom once MDJ releases it here

so anyway, i got this running on my IncS, by combing both the roms, IncS 2.30.405.1 boot image, error on wifi, swapped out wifi module in /system/lib/modules with one from IncS 2.30.405.1, now wifi gets stuck on obtaining ip address. Ill need permision from virtuous team to post...
and no backlights

Just installed Beta2 and its too buggy to be used.
Getting FC on almost everything.
Will wait for this to be release officially for Vivo to try again.
Just flashed it, I was shocked at how good it was. Yeah, I got a couple of FCs here and there and WiFi didn't work, but for a beta 2, it's pretty nice!

Try using .25 kernel with 1.70 radio. I was running into that problem with wifi not working correctly. And I use .25 kernel and it works.
i suggest to use something more recent and stable. Get this kernel pack http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=655097&d=1310674938. Unpack and edit KAISIMG-PANEL2-320-TILT0.NBH with the included ATools and flash to kaiser. Next install your choosen system and apply included androidupdate.tar (if you choose one of latest Cyanogen 6 or 7 you don't need this update)

Try the latest kernel (26.32) with Incubus's SuperFroyo, I have everything worked on my kaiser(WiFi, 3G traffic, camera-->pretty much useless for me, but it works)...what Radio are u using? recommended to have 1.65.xxx or later.
you should read the whole ROM's thread, usually there are list of things working, somewhat-working, or not-working-at-all...and there are the fix too(if available)...
as far as I know, BT usually the one that not working...(haven't tested the BT on my kaiser though...)

Yes, I have kais130 with normal keyboard and panel type2. So if your phone is identical try not edit it - just flash downloaded and check. Did you reinstall system and install update (androidupdate.tar)?

ive only tryed two roms so far, super froyo and dzo, and the dzo one works really good. fast and pretty stable so far.

I think you should try this Rom and this kernel. They was made by Scoot. I still run it on my Kaiser so far, it's stable and fast.
I have my contacts setup on this kaiser. If I flash a new rom (scoot) would all my contacts get erased? They're not saved on the sim and I dont think its synced through since my wifi isn't working.

Yes , i think reflashing the kaiser will erase your contacts

Bluetooth and WiFi are working in ALL Froyo builds, so I don't know what's your problem. Camera doesn't fully work in all builds.
