Brodit proclip? - Legend Accessories

There does not appear to be a proclip for the HTC legend as yet - can anyone tell me if the one for the HTC hero also fits the legend? The shabe and design are very similar...
Thanks!

I have a proclip for HTC Hero and its ok for me, the passiv one. The Legend is stable and i can use it when i drive.

I have tried the Legend into the Iphone Brodit Holder and it steady enough, also because it has covered of velvet.

Thanks. I was particularly interested in the active holder. Anyone know if the connector lines up?

Great news!!
Also have the iphone one, gona try it

To answer my own question, the proclip for the HTC hero (active) does not work - the charge connector is positioned differently and is a different size.
Despite mobile-fun assuring me that it would fit

I have found the brodit holder for Legend here:
http://www.dsldevelopments.com/brodit/holder/HTC+Legend-Brodit-Holder.asp
In Italy is not yet available also using the brodit code on the brodit configurator, but probably will arrive soon (I hope because it is free running in my car).

I got my Brodit holder for Legend today. It's the active one and I must say it is very stable.
Was a bit afraid that tilting the device and holder would cause it to fall out, but to my delight there's no risk of that happening. And rotating between horizontal and vertical is a one hand operation.
Strongly recommended, even though the price was quite high (~80€ incl. shipping)

I also got one of these last week. Am very happy with it - very stable if perhaps slightly too tight fit.

Sports armband?

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has one, or has seen one, that will accomodate the HD2? Should be collecting my HD2 within next couple of hours and would love to fire up run.gps for a test this evening...
I use the Run.gps branded armband. It's really designed for the HD but works okay with the HD2
the hardware buttons do get covered by the case, but I don't tend to use anything other than the power button when I'm out and that's easy to press.
also the cutout for the headphones is in the wrong place. If you decide to use a corded headphone, then you would need to cut a small hole in the neoprene.
other than that it's great
little bit off, ...
nice to see some run.gps users ou here.
does the run.gps work well with the 800*480?
thanks!
Yes, there is an armband for the HD2 Leo :
Hello Leo users,
I have searched the internet, and up till now, dec 2009, there still isn't a running armband for the HD2. and i could not wait...
As mentioned above, RunGPS sell's an armband that all most fits. You can also buy it under the name - Tune belt / Tunebelt AB82 - it's fully Neoprene, and fits "like a glove" on your upper of lower arm. Thight, the HD2 will not slip out of it during running.
It fit's my HTC HD2 only after a little tweak : removing two sets of stiches at the bottum en re-sow the neoprene. that's it !.
Indeed the 4 standard buttons are hidden, but the Run GPS buttons and screen works verry well.

Merry Christmas to you all.

The Run.gps branded armband isn't the same as the Tunebelt one..
I tried the tunebelt one and preferred the run.gps branded version.
I don't think (despite the similar names) the branded one is made by tunebelt (but I could be wrong).
Tunebelt AB8
Run.gps ABX2
FWIW I don't think the branded one needs your stitch work, (but I may stitch the hole where the original headphone hole was)
Would something like this work or would it be a very tight fit?
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-ARMBAND-...AU_MobilePhoneAccessories?hash=item4ceb7913ad
I'm thinking about getting one and reading the size differences between the 3gs and HD2; it could work but i don't know.
What about this http://cgi.ebay.com/A012-Armband-Ca...temQQimsxZ20091224?IMSfp=TL091224219003r36209 ?

And the verdict is.......
straight in the bin. doesn't fit and tbh i don't think you'd fit an iphone in it either.
you could probably mess about modding it to fit but it's fugly enough already
just so you guys know, i bought this and it fits the HD2 perfectly.
The seller was confident saying the HD2 would definitely not fit but i bought it anyways. It's made for the iPhone but the HD2 slides just fine with a bit of stretching and a new whole made for the headphone port.
It's extremely high quality too.
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280395590555
i bought one of the above and it doesnt fit my hd2 !!!
the link i posted? You sure? It fits my HD2 so i don't know why you cant...
yep same link ! my hd2 is to wide for it? my friends iphone fits ok
It stretches though and doesn't require that much stretching anyways, i'll post a picture of it tomorrow.
I dunno man, not much is available is for the HD2 so i found this as the best alternative.
Bought one of these for £4.99 and it fits no problem!
its a little tight but not that much that you have to make adjustments!

i would go with the brodit holders. i have had them for my last 4 phones and they are great . The fit is great, however they arn't as cheap as some... but you do pay for what you get.
a good company to get them from is dsl developments. mine should be here in a min so i will post a few pics if your interested
Ordered this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HTC-TOUCH-HD2...UK_Mobiles_Accessories_RL?hash=item518ed1309c
Came today with charger, holder identical with the one provided by O2 UK with Orbit 2. It's holding HD2 very nicely.

Same here. I've already got the Brodit active mount installed it's the 4th one now. It's one of the first things I buy when I get a new phone. I use a RAM suction mount instead of the vent clip option. It's so easy to use just slide the phone in and out.
Ditto. I've just fitted a Brodit active mount for my HD2. Good quality mount that holds the HD2 firmly vertically or horizontally and the power connector lines up perfectly. I never regretted buying Brodit mounts for my past two phones and this one looks to be no exception.
same as above Brodit holder every time, good quality, good fit, not cheap but with a £500 phone its well worth getting something thats not going to drop it eh?
Brodit all the way! btw, there is a active thread already on this with many posts

Why not having a look on www.brodit.com.
I already installed the active one but removed the cig-plug (whole cable) and replaced it by a USB cable. So I'm also able to listen music while charging.
Works like a charm.

Hi Joerg,
How did you do this, my car stereo has a USB input and I'm also hoping this maybe a partial workaround to the Bluetooth issue.
Is there a line out in the micro-usb-plug, too? Like in the older HTC-devices or can i only get sound over the 3.5mm-headphone-plug?
On my polaris i used a htc adapter, where i pluged in a 3.5mm-sound-cable.

The Audio line out on the HD (mini USB) was not available so I can't imagine it being reinstated for the the HD2.
That´s bad. So i allways have to plug in two cables.
it looks nice. Thanks!
However, having a look at it, it seems like it's not possible to keep the HD2 horizontally (I mean the support holding the HD2 seems to be only for vertical use). Is this correct?

Would be intresting, if someone has this carholder and can say something about ist.
Landscape holding is important for me, because i want to use the hd2 for navigation.
What about the Motorola Moto Q-Holder? Can i use my HD2 landscape with this holder?

Thanks dude. Ive ordered it. Real cheap price. Hope it dont fall to bits.
Thanks for the heads up! I had one from Tesco for £3.98 but it was waaaaaaay too long, this seems like the perfect size
Ok I just got the car holder today, it looks good, it is made of hard plastic and it's fixed size so it will fit only the HD2 not any other phones; the grip on the phone is very good so no risk of having the phone falling down while driving as it happened with my previous holder.
As it rotates 360 degrees the holder can be used also ona flat surface such as a desk to watch video handsfree ;-)
Hope this helps.
Thanks
Car Charger mA?
Got both car holder and car charger. They came yesterday but I wasn't in.
Am V happy with the holder, its a bit chunky looking but it works. And you can unclip it from the windscreen, ie its not glued but suction cup.
The car charger(http://www.prepaymania.co.uk/mobilephone/htc-hd2-micro-usb-in-car-charger.html), doesn't seem to charge the battery. The charging light comes on in Android but the battery icon doesn't change. The same in WP7 except the charging light alternates red/green. Same for android using extended battery.
I have read elsewhere on xda that the charger may not be passing enough mA for the HD2 but there is no data plate and not enough info on the website to tell me what current is passed. It does say it is made for HTC devices though.
Oh well!
If it works why not, it is a fair price

EVO 4G Car kit for HD2 (T-Mobile US)

I've been looking into purchasing a car kit for my HD2, and before you guys start yelling out Brodit, I don't want it. I came across this mount:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Car-Windshield-...754946?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item33691bb282
but it says that it doesn't fit TMobile HD2 (US). The EVO 4G has close dimensions to the TMOUSHD2, so I figured this one might fit:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Car-Kit-Windshi...883808?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item4aac18c2e0
What do you think?
Just ran the tape over my EU version and it will fit - yours is a fraction longer but will still have lots of room - go for it
See this thread I started about this EXACT same thing:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1130487
I searched the thread titles and didn't see anything, that's why I made this thread. Anyway, that's good to know, because I was going to buy the HD2 one and dremel it, but if I can get the EVO one without any mods, even better.
Actually, I am very very pleased with the fit. It fits like a glove and the neck itself is pretty sturdy and does not flap around on rough patches on the road. Also, the whole thing (mount+charger) is pretty cheap and I am very satisfied using it.

Car Craddle, not universal?

Does anybody know a perfect fitting car craddle, like the original from LG for the P970?
Brodit is thinking about to release a cradle. So just email them that you also want a cradle, maybe this helps
Just mail to: [email protected]
why not a universal craddle?
i bought a new specific craddle after changing the mobile.
now i try this one:
Clingo Universal Vent Mount
after 4 weeks, i like it.
sorry, can't post outside links.
You can also use the craddle for the galaxy nexus from Brodit , fit 100%

The Clingo doesn't work because it needs an even surface. The back of the 4X is uneven.
I think I give the Galaxy Nexus cradle a try if its available on Amazon. Thanks.
Looking at the pics of the Brodit for the Galaxy Nexus it looks like the Nexus has a curved base. Surely that won't fit? I want to be sure before spending £35 on one!

Searching at Brodit for the holder the search shows two models:
Item no 511324
Passive holder with tilt swivel - Samsung Galaxy Nexus GT-I9250
Item no 511331
Passive holder with tilt swivel - Samsung Galaxy Nexus SCH-I515
Which one is the right one?
Thanks,

I bought this one - Samsung ECS-K2
I just bought a Clingo, and put a screw through the base of the ball-socket part to secure it to my Brodit base in my car!!
It holds it quite far out though, tomorrow I think I'll saw the ball-socket's arm down a bit and put a screw into the middle of it from the back of the Brodit plate.
Works well on the textured rear of the 4x, but with the Nillkin cover it did keep falling off, I guess it's a funny slightly rubbery finish

Thought I'd show a pic of my Clingo, modified by cutting off the ball-joint and screwing it to my Brodit base. (it was far too far out when I screwed the whole ball-joint arm on, and was knocked with every gear-change.
I just used my carkit I had for my SGS2, fits perfectly..

Thanks for the pic. Looks really cool!
