headphones - Click Accessories

i don't know what happened tonite, but my headphones are dommed they sound like [email protected]@@...

Mine headphones have strange hiss sound from start.

Normal here

just change them with a philiphs stereo headsets and you will be like "omg, it sounds awsome!"

The original headset that I have sound really great, I was surprised. It's the loudest phone in headset mode that I ever had.

What kind of headphones are the HTC Tattoo compatible with?
A bought a pair called NOCS NS200 which I though would work because it was 4-pinned and for iPhone and all that, but the mic doesn't work..
So, what kind of headphones (in-ears with mic specially) does work for the phone?

Maybe you can get this one

The thing is that I want to have nice headphones for music as well as it has a microphone. Theese doesn't seem to be too good with music.
I'm just curious what kind of 3.5-mm plug on the headphones with mic that the phone can handle. Anyone?

I recommend Jabra BT3030 , it´s a bluetooth headset but it gave me better sound than what I get from the 3,5 output.
One remark , when I use the EQ in the custom ROM I get sound like [email protected]@@ also.

mine working fine...

mine works fine too!

I have no problems with mine...they work just fine

Same here, I'm using the original ones.

It was the bad sound quality when listening on music that made me buy new ones.
I first bought the NOCS but changed to Creative and am now very happy

im using these:
Sony MDR-EX50LP
EXCELENT SOUND!!!

Looking for a corded stereo HEADSET with microphone for telephone calls and listening to music with a USB connector for AT&T Tilt. THANKS for any recommendation…
Get one with a regular 3.5 jack and an adaptor - more choice that way I would have thought.
Please let us know which you end up buying, and why.
Cheers,
Joe
Don;t you get one for free with the device?

Does the W100 work with any other software than media player?....
Will Conduits pocket player work with it using some existing plugin?
tried it, all I know it will work with the audio manager and the WMP, but not the core player. not tried with the pocket player 3.50 , the last few times i installed it, it messed up the menu of the phone, so I will not use pocket player again.

[Q] [HTC HD2] Headset plug in with mic and music control

Hello ,
Since my old HTC Artemis is dying slowly, I have bought an HTC HD2.
I am looking for a headset plugger(where I can plug in a 3.5mm headphone) which can connect to the HTC HD2 and has a mic, music control(play/ pause/ skip and call pick up/ cancel facility. I read through the old threads and the closest I came to was combining the original headset with another one.
Please suggest me a working one.
Thanks
I would suggest bluetooth stereo headphones. They have the buttons to do all your music playing or phone calling all while your phone stays in your pocket. I use them religiously. I'm at work right now using them. Also use them with the bluetooth on my laptop.
Are there no wired sets who can do this as well?Bluetooth would be awesome had they not needed the battery to be charged.Which model do you use and recommend?

There are, but once you go wireless bluetooth you don't want to have wires again. I know I don't. I have a set of RocketFish. These specifically. I love them.

You can find in the ear sets also. The specific set you get should suit your taste. Just make sure it has buttons for call, play, forward, back, up vol and down vol. I can start/stop my music, skip forward and back through songs, answer or send a call to voicemail, start a call with voice dialer, and control the volume all with my phone in my pocket.
Hi
Thanks for the info.
Would you have a model number for this specific one?And it also has a built in mic?
Thanks

Yes it has a mic. I use it for calls and have been told it sounds good on the other end.
*edit*
If anyone buys these... read the directions and change the sound settings. The last setting offers great sound for music, videos, and games.

[Q] Sports Headphones w/ skip/pause/mic

I am after headsets that wrap over ear for running, so cant use the stock ones that just fall out - does anyone know if any exist that allow the use of the skip/pause/mic feature?
I had a thought that the myriad of iPhone accessories might be an option, so tried some old headsets (had the same plug segments etc, but the skip track didn't work - only pause/play). Might have been the old headsets, but dont want to buy new if they aren't compatible. Should the iPhone/iPod ones work?
Any help appreciated

They are a bit uncomfortable, but I think it is because I have a bigger than usual noggin. Anyway, after a while I got used to them. They sound really good, they do not block outside sound, which is a plus for me (can hear traffic/cars behind me), the battery is rated at 14 hours (I have never been able to drain it completely), and they have very strong btooth reception. They even have a built in 4 presets equalizer. Only downside I have found is that microphone call quality is not great. Usually the person I am talking to cannot hear me clearly.
Oh, and the music controls work perfectly.

It's not the old headsets, I will confirm that iphone controls won't have skip tracks working with android phones. I think there are very few sports type of headsets that will have android controls. Your best bet is probably to look into the bluetooth headsets as they will have the controls working.

Bad Bluetooth audio quality?

Hi. I'm about to get this phone. I borrowed it for few hours from my friend to check some things.
Currently I'm on P20 pro and I have a problem with Bluetooth audio in note 9.
Take a note, it's not something that average "Joe" would be able to hear.
My headphones doesn't support aptx but it doesn't matter because I'm comparing the sound that I got on p20 pro and note 9 (exynos, but it doesn't matter for bluetooth I guess).
I bought my Bluetooth headphones (JBL) mainly because I was tired of choosing my future phones by DAC quality. In theory Bluetooth headphones should sound always exactly the same, because digital to analog converter is located in headphones.
Now the thing is it doesn't. I noticed FAR worse frequency separation on note 9. P20 pro output (and not only p20 pro, my PC, TV as well) is more... How to put it... Punchy? Especially with hi percussion and snares. Additionally high freqs are hissy and upped too much. I tried with Poweramp and direct audio (bypass all Samsung software audio eqs etc) with exactly the same settings on both phones.
It's seems that Samsung screwed up somthing on audio encoder level. Exactly the same was S8+.
And it seems that it's not only me:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/help/bluetooth-audio-bad-quality-t3622984
Is there any way to do something with it? This thing is keeping me from switching.
In developers settings have you set the bluetooth audio codec etc.? If not first try changing those settings and see. See the screenshot , you'll see the address numerous settings which should improve your sound quality.

That stuff usually gets reset when you re-pair your headphones. I've never heard a difference in quality when using them (and I can be picky about audio).

Wired audio HW/SW problem

From time to time I'm using wired headphones or AUX cable for speakers and I always had that feeling that there is some "clicky" noise there. Today was the day I yet again connected my headphones (Marshal MID) with wire, through original (I think) USB-C adapter - it has some text on it Analog VIETNAM KDM406 U*S, and once again I was hearing the clicks, so I decided to check them.
I took different AUX cable and connected it to 3.5mm LineIn in my laptop's dockstation, and recorded it with Audacity. And the clicks are there. Here is how it looks like:

Up - recorded
Down - original source
I'm still trying to understand what is exactly happening. It looks like the decoder / player is loosing sync with file? (correct me). The docoding speed / freq, is not perfectly matched with actual, real one and some resync occurs on some event? Look at the screenshots I've made, after the click wave sound is in different sync relation (it's more properly synchronised) with file than before.
The file format doesn't matter it is happening for WAV, mp3, FLAC, youtube format...
File location was internal memory, and youtube
Player tested: VLC, Youtube, FX File explorer, Samsung built in player.
It was audible before Android 13.0 too.
The music was: Coldplay - Yellow
fragment on screenshots: ~1:40-2:00 do not suggest times on audacity timeline.
I've added the Audacity project so you can check it on your own.
Phone Model: Samsung S20 FE 5G 6/128 with SD
Stock ROM never flashed or anything: SAOMC_SM-G781B_OXM_XEO_13_0004 XEO/XEO,XEO/EUX/XEO
So here is my ask to the community, could you check if you have this problem too?
I'm providing an update. To extract the root problem, I've generated 30sec 1kHz SINE sound, and recorded it once again. Now it can be seen clearly that something is wrong.
I'm providing you waves in zip archive. What's also interesting, problem starts to occur after ~12 sec - atleast in this sine case.
Additional problem the length of the recorded sound. It should have 30sec. I will provide next update with calculated sine period of the recording.
Can anyone download zip with the sine and verify if OriginalSin1kHz30sec.wav makes clicky noise on their cable headphones? I would like to know if this is more general problem of Samsung, S20FE or my piece only...

Sorry for posting under my posts, but... anyone?
I tested your sample audio file and my adapter/phone works just fine.
Just to add my story to buying one.
First one I bought was from eBay from a seller in UK. The listing promised me to be the original one. The sound quality was not great, the produced noise a low volume levels and cut out before volume 0. I files refund request and was refunded with no questions asked. Then I bought one from the local store and I believe it is the original one, because the quality of sound is really good and sounds just like the audio port on any other phone.
Original adapter:
SAMSUNG EE-UC10JUWEGWW
Text on it: VIETNAM BGR429
The fake one:
SAMSUNG EE-UC10JUWEGWW
Text on it: Analog VIETNAM KDM406 U°S
Listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/193500433672
The main differences are the text on usb-c plug and on the other side of the 3.5 port metal protrudes outside of the plastic. See the attached photos.
Thanks LGajlo for checking this. I've lost faith someone will do. Like I wrote in my first post, my adapter has ”Analog VIETNAM” on the connector so it's probably fake one. So I guess this should be a warning for the community to not buy those
