Are you guys happy with the quality of the Zagg Screen Protectors?

I have one for my Vogue and love it. Got a full body one for my wife's BB pearl and the edges where there is a lot of curves didn't last well, but the screen and back are still in tact.

Not to bash on ZAGG but...

Comparing the ZAGG to the BSE.. I'll be waiting for BSE to release there's.

i love the zagg, screen only though.

have had a shield zone for all my electronics sine 05 excellent product

I already ordered my Zagg a few days ago, but after receiving my phone I am a little concerned about the lens protruding out like it does. Is there anything I can install over that to prevent it from getting scratched up?

i got it on my zune hd, its good, but it make the screen/color looks little weird.

I've had my white g1 that has the chipping problem for a year now and...needless to say my screen is the only thing that's still flawless.

I ordered a skin for my G1 from Best Skins Ever when I first bought my phone. Never recieved the skin; Never got my money back. I'm glad I only lost 10 bucks and not more. Now I have a Zagg Screen cover and a Zagg Skin for the body. Great quality product. My sister bought one for her iPod as well. I'm definitely ordering the full body kit from Zagg when I get my Incredible!!!

I have the zagg screen protector for the droid and totally love it. I think it actually improves the screen sensitivity and reduces fingerprints. I got it installed at best buy and they really went the extra mile to make it perfect (upon my request).
No bubbles or dust under it and its completely square on the screen. Ive been installing Zagg's myself for years on storm and mogul but just decided to save myself the headache and splurge and give the headache to someone else.
It took him 2 different shields but he got it and i gave him lots of props for it since it took like 30 minutes!!!

How about we get some high resolution pics up in this thread?

Sent from my ADR6300 I bought my incredible from bestbuy they gave me the zag for free and did free install

Picked up one from BestBuy as well. You pay a few bucks more locally, but they are good protectors. Had one on all my iPhones and never had issues with them.

It's hard to photograph without a good lighting setup. Just look on images.google.com you'll find several good examples

disappointing
I received the zagg screen 10 days after I originally ordered it and I can honestly say it wasn't worth the wait or the $15. It falls short of expectations which is not many given the nature of the product. I followed the directions and was suprised to find out that I had to apply a liquid solution to the shield and apply it to the electronic lcd display, but I did it anyways. They sent the screen along with the application solution and a black sponge in a plastic container that could not be resealed so I'm not able to save the liquid. I put the screen on, applied the solution with the sponge, and used the squeegee card to get out most of the bubbles as best as I could. Hours later the bubbles still remain with tiny black chunks from the sponge, and also what looks like spider cracks within the invisible shield. Apart from the screen being far from invisible, it just doesn't feel right under my fingertips. I go to swipe and there is too much friction between my fingertips and the screen creating lag due to the rubbery feel. I ordered a clear slim back shell case from HandHelditems.com that came with a free screen protector for my ipod touch for $3.84 and the screen protector is much better than the invisible shield. I don't understand how this company sells this junk to the masses, but they can take their "self-healing military grade" marketing bs and shove it because it ain't worth the trouble. Save your time and money and buy something else.

Mine works great. followed the instructions exactly. Ill blame it on operator error.

yup my zagg fits and looks and feels flawless. its an essential piece to any high end device. best buy owned me for 22$ though

StealthGuards keeps offering their screen protectors for FREE

I've been reading all those BSE and Invisible Shields threads and when I was decided to order a body protection from BSE I remembered that for my old Nexus One I got a screen protector from StealthGuards as it was for free (I only had to pay the shipping) and the quality was similar (If not the same) as ZAGG's Invisible Shields. It took like 10 days to arrive to my home (Spain) and I had to pay less than $7, around 5,5€.
I just wanted to let the people around that they keep giving away the protector (full body) for free, they'll charge you a bit more if you want matte look but glossy one is OK with me.
Their website is http://stealthguards.com/
That was it, If it's not OK to talk about this in here please excuse me and delete my thread.
And excuse my english.

Ah well, as I said I used these on my Nexus One and the results were good
Not trying to flame but I had bad experiences with them.
I ordered 3 iPod Touch 4G screen protectors for my family to their home and ordered Nexus S protector to my dorm.
I received 2 Galaxy S screen protectors and my parents received 1 iPhone 4G protectors.
I e-mailed them and they simply ignored me for 3-4 days.
I decided to dispute.. I guess they didn't respond to PayPal so I got my money back within a week.
I've ordered from them twice and got my order no problem.
I have the NS skin on the back. Gives me the protection I want at 10% the cost of invisible shields and the like. I'm happy with my purchase
I use these on my Samsung Vibrant. I completely forgot about it, I'll head on over to there and get one for my NS4G. Thanks for reminding!
I had a stealth guard on my hero for a while. It just seemed to collect dirt in the corners and make the phone look bad. Finally got rid if it for a otterbox, which of course they won't make one for this phone.

Screen Protector

I've always been one to use screen protectors on my displays, even on gorilla glass. With the nexus 7 using an unconfirmed type of corning glass (ie it might not be gorilla glass and instead just have a scratch resistant coating), i figured to go shopping.
XO skins is the company I've been buying from recently. It is very easy to find coupons that will work online. They work really well, although they can feel a bit rubbery. They do NOT have the orange peel texture companies like zagg are known for. Since it is a wet installation, it is sometimes possible to see "rainbow streaks" under the screen over a white background. If you run into this problem, shoot them an email and they'll send you a replacement. Customer service is excellent.
http://xoskins.com/laptops-tablet-r...in-protectors/google-nexus-7-screen-protector
This next one i haven't tried, but it differs from the above protector in that it is a static cling installation. This would probably be good for those who are against wet installations, or fans screen protectors from companies such as steinheil. This one is anti-glare though, so it is likely that it has a matte-textured or cloudy display.

We should be seeing more in the next few weeks. If you find one, post it
until then, cheers
I'll definitely be going with the Skinomi: I've done both Skinomi and ZAGG, and ZAGG is just too sticky for my taste. IMO, my fingers just glide over the screen much easier with a Skinomi protector.
I've always gone with xoskins and their customer service is AMAZING. No joke, if you feel unsatisfied with your screen protector, just email them and they'll most likely send you a new one. I got one for my Galaxy Nexus though one thing about these types of screen protectors is that dents and marks got onto them pretty easily. Even so, I'll still be getting an xoskin for my Nexus 7 (assuming I get one soon).

+1 SGP for screen protectors & skinomi for silver carbon fiber kit
SGPs are great but expensive. I've bought 5$ screen protectors from Frys that have the same quality as my SGPs. Skinomi intends to scratch very easily and it doesn't self heal. Never had experience with XO skins though and I'm not a big fan of water based once anymore since they seem to dent and scratch easily X_x..
I am not a fan of protectors. I don't use one on my Sony EReader (soft screen) or my Motorola phone (Gorilla).
Both have cases, and are scratch-free after a couple of years use.
That works better for me.
Here's what SGP CS wrote back to me when I asked if they plan to make a SP for the Nexus 7
Thank you for contacting Spigen.com Customer Service Department.
Hi, my name is Diana from Spigen.com.
Thank you for your interest in our products! As of now, we don’t have any definite plans to make screen protectors for the Asus Nexus 7 Tablet. However, if there is increased interest from our customers, we may change our production plans in the future. Please check our website for any updates time to time.

Funny thing is that they usually reply with that for most new products if I'm not mistaken.
I'm hoping Clarivue will make a Nexus 7 protector soon. I've always like them, but I'm an acrylic protector kind of person. Just never cared for the "rubbery" feel. I'll put up with the very occasional minor scratch that you can't even see when the screen's on in exchange for a feel that's identical to the screen itself.

Ghost Armor asap, I've had it on every device since my HTC hd2 and it works great for me. Stock gorilla glass (I know the n7 doesn't have it but my wife's Lumia does) seems to get greasy to easily. With my s2 if I get a little dirty I just rub on my pants

I normally just use cheap ones of ebay on my phones which work well enough however my father got a samusung 10.1 and I think because of the size the static as you pull off the second layer just sucked any surrounding particles to the skin.
I bought one from bestskinsever which is a wet application one and it worked very well and was decently priced so I'm planning to get one from them for the Nexus and my new HTC One XL.
I sent a query on their site and got an initial automated reply, the more queries they got for the Nexus the quicker they will start making them.
I used to use typical screen protectors, but I feel they are easier to get bubbles and dust stuck under them and are much less forgiving for mistakes. This is an even bigger problem with larger screens.
I now only use wet application screen protectors, such as InvisibleShield (too expensive), BestSkinsEver, and Prestige / XtremeGuard. There are much easier to apply after practicing on other devices, much more forgiving as if you don't align right, you can easily remove as it's still wet and just spray more of the solution on (water + drop of dish detergent). The secret is to make sure it's always wet when applying and then once it's on, squeegee..if it's not on yet, keep it wet. They do have a bit of texture, but I don't mind it.
I ordered XtremeGuard from ebay for $9 shipped.. much cheaper than the alternatives right now and it ships quick from Utah. I also ordered a folio style case specifically for the Nexus 7 from ebay (shipped from Hong Kong) .. i made sure it was specific because others are selling Kindle Fire cases, but this one has specific slots for speaker and other inputs and is under $10.
Also to the person wanting full body skin...it doesn't make sense to cover the soft back of the Nexus 7 with something like InvisibleShield.

Yeah, I wouldn't go with anything other than XOSkins.
I'm absolutely 100% satisfied with the way they've worked on my Nexus.
I "pre-ordered" my Skinomi case from Amazon last week. They estimate 8/1 as the shipping date. That could mean two weeks without a screen protector. My OCD-ness won't like that.

Have you used an XOSkin to be able compare the two? I'm just curious about Matte protectors.

Zagg Glass

Hey guys, I installed the Zagg Glass on my M8 and so far so good.
Installation was easy but I did notice that Zagg's "Micro fiber Lint cloth" does more harm than good, then again I noticed the same thing with their Plastic screen protector. I'd recommend not using it unless you boil it down/rinse it to death.
It'll leave it's own lint on your screen.
Other than that I have no complains.
The Glass itself is smoother than the glass on the phone and it resists smudges quite well.
I live in San Diego so when people use my phone their hands aren't the driest since it's been 90+ lately. Yet when they were done there were no smudges. The edges are rounded like The Glas.Tr from Spigen and I have absolutely no bubbles at all.
I had the BodyGuardz ScreenGuardz Pure before this and I can definitely say it was an upgrade.
I will corroborate your review. Pretty good quality, the feel is excellent and even more so oleophobic than the stock screen in my opinion. I can't even tell it's on there, and the screen isn't compromised at all. Worth the $40.
The lint cloth caused me no trouble although it didn't really help either.
The only gripe I have is that when I was "smoothing out" the bubbles, it says to press down hard, and I used the lint cloth along with some force from my thumb nail, and if you tilt it in the right light you can see exactly where I pressed down with my thumb nail in several spots...just small depressions in the shape of a nail tip. Didn't think an "industrial strength" glass/plastic would be easily indented by a thumb nail. In any case, its a small neurotic thing that doesn't bother me much, just something I noticed. Overall pleased.
4/5 Stars
I'll be the third to say I bought one of these and I love it. Can't beat a lifetime warranty either.
Probably my second favorite outta all the ones I've had. Tried almost every glass protector. Mime feather is still my favorite, but this is close.
Well... I really wanted to stay away from zag due to past experiences with their products. Being that my brand new spigen light armor hadn't arrived, I went to the local best buy to find a cheap screen protector until I could get more money for the glastr shield. Cheapest one there was a invisishield for 25 bucks, damn.... Then for only 5 bucks more was the glass zag shield, plus the life time warranty.
I had no choice. I would for sure get my screen scratched up while working.
So anyway, to my suprise, I couldn't be any happier with this screen protector. No dust, no bubbles, no edges peeling, no fitment issues, no headaches. This glass protector Sh*** on wet installs, and plastic shields. Also, it fits very nice with the spigen light armor. Also it really does resist fingerprints and smudges. 10/10

Does anyone have details regarding the "lifetime warranty" disclaimers? Curious about what is covered and how many replacements, etc.
I have the Bodyguardz glass protector that I bought at the AT&T store. It works fine and I like it but it is thick. They didn't have any dot view cases in stock and I ordered one while I was there. I also asked if the case would work with the protector (because of the added thickness of the glass) and they said it "probably" would. Well, yesterday the case arrived in the mail and it won't close because of the Bodyguardz protector.
Can anyone in here tell me if the dot view case will work with the Zagg glass protector?
wow $40? I also hate best buy so will not shop there ever.
What about the glass screen protectors on ebay for $5-15, sounds more reasonable.
I used to avoid screen shields like the plague because of finger smudges, difficult installs, and bubbles/defects. But I'm in love with the glass shield. I'll corroborate all the above and say it's a simple install and resists fingerprints much better than the regular screen.

The nice thing is you get a lifetime warranty. If you choke it down and buy it from best buy, I think they charge 7.99 or something to install it, but if you ever mess it up or it peels or they don't install it right you can take it back and they redo it. Otherwise, you just email zagg and they send you a new one in a couple days.

True, but one time and it's only 3 bucks more for Best Buy to do it, and as soon as you have it done twice, you would have been better off with them. Not to mention you can just pop in whenever you're around a store and have it fixed.

On my second Glass...First I bought the HD shield, and they have what I believe to be, a defect in design on the HD. Not only does it cover the screen, but on all 4 corners, it goes up the sides of the speaker grills. If your screen is not perfectly flush with the metal speaker plates guess what...you will have air pockets that you cant get rid of. After going back and forth, they sent me a replacement, and it was the SAME thing..UGH..
So I went out and bought a Glass..since it only protected the screen. Had issues with the first one, as none of the corners would stick! Put in for another replacement, which came today, and it went on smooth as silk and all the corners are bubble free...
When you do the replacement, you also need to send back your old one. They provide you an envelope to do so. They will also ask for your credit card number. If you do not return your old one, they will charge you the full price for the replacement they shipped out!
$6 on EBAY for these, shipped...
No... . . . Not ZAGG, specifically, but extremely high quality and the same damn glass.
Just got the Zagg glass shield installed today and I have to say this is the best I've ever tried. Glass from now on!

There's BodyGuardz, I have an extra of those the edges aren't rounded, there's a Spigen Glas.Tr but it's an extra 5$ at 39.99.

ZAGG Glass Curved now available but........

Called Zagg yesterday to ask about the curved tempered glass and the girl said it's been shipping for the past week. You have to call and order as it's still not available on their website. Now here's the kicker, It has a black painted border around the edges. :silly:
I asked if it sticks to the actual display area and she said yes, but did not sound too sure. It was $44.99 but she said she would give me 10% off and another $10.00 off discount. After hearing about the black "Painted Border" I did not order and will wait to see what others find out.
If anyone has ordered and received one please post some pictures and a review. Thank You.
Some have already had it and sent it back. See the TGSP thread. It's the same Chinese crap.
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app
Yea, just saw that. Glad I did not order one.
Honestly I've given up hope of ever finding a decent TGSP for this phone. You need 100% adhesion to the screen for it to not look and feel like absolute balls every time, and so far all the TGSP are exactly the same garbage you can get for 20$ on eBay.
I tried a protection but it did not work
Anyone else tried the Zagg curved yet?
Must have lost my mind..........................Just picked one up at Best Buy for the Regular Edge at the everyday low price of $44.99 plus tax.
I'll see how it works out tomorrow. One thing that worries me is all the cutouts on the back are real sharp feeling. Hope they won't scratch the face of the phone.
So the Zagg glass for the edge isn't any good?
I saw these in the local EE shop on Saturday, and whilst I was there someone bought one and attempted to install it. Looked no different than all the others you get online to me (other than being more expensive), and it still didn't appear to sit on the screen properly. I'll stick with the HD Dry myself. If a premium company like Zagg can't get these things working properly, then tempered glass protectors on curved screens are a write off for me. The manufacturers just don't seem capable of getting them right but as long as people buy them they'll continue making them.

Best Skins Ever

I've had my BSE screen protector for about 2 months. On the positive side the cut is very precise and if you're experience with installing wet apply protectors it's quite easy.
The material itself is a bit grippy and definitely not as smooth as dry apply protectors. Initially the self healing properties of the skin were reasonable. However after 2 months every small indentation from pressure being in a pocket remains permanent. My screen protector is now super ugly to the point friends laugh at it.
I wondered if this was normal or just unlucky that I got a defective batch. I contacted BSE and they told me it's just normal wear and tear. I was definitely a bit surprised that this is normal for 2 months of use. I've never had this with any other protector I've used.
The other factor that made me want to try this brand was there 5 star review on their site. Out of 6 reviews every reviewer gave it 5 stars. I recently tried to post my honest review on their site and low and behold my review, less than perfect, was not published. Now I see why the rating is what it is. Deceptive marketing.
In the end the company offered me a replacement out of 'goodwill' if I paid shipping. They then sent me a bill for $3 which doesn't sound like a lot but their shipping cost is way less since it's just a standard letter.
Overall, I would not buy another BSE product since they develop permanent marks after 3 months.
Will post a picture when I have a chance.
here's a picture of the bestskinsever after 2 months.
Jesus Christ, that is ugly.
How much did you pay for the screen protector?
I've had some issues with glass screen protectors but I'm now using a "cheap" alternative I found on Amazon that's identical to the £40 glass screen protector I initially had that I messed up when installing. I only paid £11 for a pack which includes a film protector for the back; however all glass screen protectors have SOME sensitivity issues and I've had it with this one too, but it's not too bad.
However I don't use my edge screen in the extreme corners. (I am also using a case which affects this).
Just an idea as it's relatively inexpensive.

I generally carry my phone in my pocket but almost always there is nothing else kept in the same pocket.
Had my BSE front and back protectors on for 3 months and still look brand new. Bought them for my S7 Edge after having a BSE protector on my Galaxy S5 for 2 years and it still looked mint after all that time.
Had mine for at least 3+ months, looks nothing like this, I don't know how you managed that. Certainly the best normal screen protector I've ever used. Only issue is the case cut works better with some cases than others, but that's no fault of theirs.

I've used many brands of wet-apply protectors. All have been used the same way. None have ever looked like this. I was just surprised that BSE described it as normal wear and tear so I suppose this is what they expect after a couple months.
I haven't used a liquid apply screen protector in years. When I used them, they were new tech for phones, were sticky, and often had an orange peel look to them. And they got deep impressions in then from other objects in your pocket.
I loved them at first, especially as a total body skin. I eventually switched to the plastic PET protectors because they felt smoother and slicker, but attracted fingerprints. After that it's been nothing but tempered glass screen protectors.
Now that I'm using the S7E, I've gone back to the liquid application screen protectors. After research, I settled on the Yootech from Amazon.com for $8. I put one on my wife's phone first about three weeks ago and have been very impressed with the fit, feel, and clarity. She keeps her phone in a pocket or purse and I haven't seen any marks on the screen. So last night I put the same protector on my phone, and am again very impressed.
It isn't as slick as glass, but nowhere near as sticky as the old Zagg and similar liquid install protectors. My finger glide over it very easily and smoothly, and the orange peel effect is nearly non existent, unless you look at just the right angle in the direct light. And it doesn't attract fingerprints. I wouldn't say it's oleophobic, the prints just don't show up as much.
I say all that to say, my experience with these type of screen protectors is very limited, especially in newer brands, but if BSE isn't satisfactory, you may try the Yootech. I just ordered the BSE body protection set, so I'll be curious to see how it holds up.

get a spigen crystal curved
http://www.spigen.com/products/galaxy-s7-edge-screen-protector-curved-crystal
comes in a 2 pack. dry application and fits super nice. sides are already curved down and stay down pretty good. i had put a deep scratch in my first one so i just grabbed the 2nd one and slapped it on. feels pretty nice. not rubbery at all. that will take care of the front nice. id go with dbrand if u want something for the back

No, no, no. Can't recommend spigen screen protector at all. Bought it one time and my corners piled off next day. Several months later I bought it again, thought that maybe they fixed something but i was wrong. Bought spigen second time yesterday, before it i was using best skin ever. So today i saw same ****ty piled off corners and ordered best skin ever again.
I don't understand how they are selling those screen protectors if from 4 times i applied them all times i got the same result. It sticks very nicely but next day corners starts piling off.
So in my opinion best skin ever is best choice for s7 edge.
i've been using an armorsuit wet apply one. it isn't glass but it much better that the BSE I had. Looks a lot smoother in comparison.
