you do not brick your phone.. maybe you just do not have the 1024 rom
have almost all the driver from 2.11 and enable extra ram...
anyway you can wait until someone try it.. or in 1-2 days have full sopport of 2.11

I promised in my first post to give this ROM a try, but that was before I noticed it was based on the 235xx branch.
I personally hate the "new" Start menu and shortcuts being at the bottom and stealing so much screen space. Give me the old 21xxx any day
Sorry for having said I would before, it's not gonna happen with this build.

I have had mine almost a month now. Am so loving this phone it is great. Have got this ROM installed now to load some stuff on here and put it through the paces!

I hate the 35xxx branches, due to the enlarged start menu and buttons at the bottom sucking up my precious screen space, however since the Chef was nice enough to also release a 21xxx build as well, that's what I grabbed and flashed a few minutes ago.
First off, as Chef Bob warns you in the first post, the initial bootup process is a little different from what you are used to. The beautiful "AthineOS extreme" screen seemed to switch negatively (black to white, white to black) and a bar appeared at the bottom. It filled all the way up slowly about 4 times as it ran the auto-configuration. Immediately afterwards, the phone reset itself and the usual Windows Setup options popped up.
I always link to my facebook, twitter and youtube on this screen, since it makes things simpler later.
First thing that grabs my attention is the lack of Swype. I've fallen in love with Swype lately and this was a bit of a disappointment, but I happen to know of a great forum where I can find a cab for it, so I wasn't too worried.
After the first boot, the phone detected my SIM card and offered to setup my connections as per usual. I agreed and it did a much better job than my old ROM (Energy), since it took care of the MMS settings. I just received an MMS a bit ago, so I can attest that it worked out of the box, which is nice.
The second thing that grabs my attention is the black background. I double-checked and yes, there are other backgrounds to choose from. I happen to like this one, so I'll leave it for now
There is no coOkie Home Tab or Max Manilla, because this build is about speed. You can of course install your own if you need to, but again I think I'll leave things alone for a bit.
I installed Shake to Save and grabbed a few dozen screens as I went along, to share with you fine folks This is the only app I installed before starting the screenshots. All other apps were pre-installed by the Chef.
I was concerned over the lack of a Bluetooth Manager icon in Start->Settings, but didn't have any problems locating the Bluetooth settings in the Settings tab (also under Connections Manager) and syncing to my favorite bluetooth headset. The phone also detected my Linux box and I synced with that as well (OBEX of course), though there are no screenshots for that.
I am expecting the Chef to follow his usual MO by continuing to tweak this build, but it's off to a great start. As you can see by my signature, this chef was my all-time favorite Kaiser chef and his releases were always top-notch.
I don't imagine him trying to compete with the chefs who have already established themselves here, due to the fact that he doesn't go for the latest eye-candy or RAM-sucking flashy apps, but I do see him carving out his own little niche as a solid performance master. His ROMs are always stable, fast and the latest possible builds direct from Microsoft.
I can't wait to see where he takes this new ROM!

I pre-configure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go. So, expect the backlight to be set at the maximum brightness, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications to already be set. Doing it this way, makes for a nice ROM that's ready out of the box.
I recommend learning to backup your settings with either Sashimi or UC (User Customization). Backing up with SPB Backup or similar products, is NOT recommended, as they tend to backup the previous release's registry/file bugs as well!
Looking at the download folder you will find two core versions of my ROM.
A 21916 Build which is the most reliable and bug free release. It has the Start menu button at the top left corner. This build uses the same stock system that came with your device. This is usually the fastest and most stable build, but it's also the least fancy

A 29022 Build that's the latest in Microsoft's development with the Start menu button at the bottom left corner and big softkeys, making it all very "finger friendly". These builds reflect the latest cutting edge technology from Microsoft. Most people choose this build... Why else would you install a custom ROM ?

This post features all the Cookie Hometab based ROMs I make.
The original ROM is the "energy" version and that's a good starting point. All the rest, are themes applied to that ROM.
They all come in two versions, Cookie 1.8.5 and Cookie 2.0 (the ROM filename will be labeled "Cookie" and "Cookie.2.0, plus the name of the theme)
You can see more screenshots of these ROMs a couple of posts down.
The two Cookie versions look pretty similar, but Cookie 2.0 has multiple sliding homescreens/freely moveable widgets (similar to Android) and
quite a few more features and speed.
My own 'Energy' style
This is the best ROM version and the way Sense should have been designed by HTC
Offers the biggest customization ability out of all versions. You can add/remove bars or items on the homescreen, arrange items any way you like, plus lots of extra features
Three built in lockscreens. "HD Mini" style, Manila style or Windows style
3 pages of quicklinks with a configurable amount of shortcuts displayed
3 Homescreen layouts to choose from, as seen in the above screenshots, all completely customizable !

Dinik's "Anastasia"
This ROM series is skinned with Dinik's great "Anastasia" theme applied on everything.
Everything has been skinned, including Sense, the start menu items, the soft keyboard, parts of the dialer... etc
_LeCiel_'s ".sencity"
This ROM is themed with the .sencity theme released by _LeCiel_ who is a very talented artist ! Please support his work if possible.
.sencity is not %100 complete yet, but _LeCiel_ is working hard on finishing his work to completely skin the entire ROM.

This ROM series is skinned with DJC's "Touch of Glass" theme throughout Sense and the Start Menu

ElCondor's "GTX"
This ROM has the white GTX theme applied
Android styled taskbar, matching dialer, matching start menu background and Action screen background
GTX is a total reskin of the operating system, so expect a very different (white) experience

'Standard' ROMs that have no addons installed on the homescreen. Stock Sense 2.5 !
'Energy'
This series retains the stock functionality of the Sense UI. The files have been compressed by "CFC" compression. making the UI lighter and faster
This ROM still retains my theme and style, plus all the regular apps you find in my ROMs.
There are no homescreen addon-ons in this ROM. The best speed and the most stock functionality.
'Reference'
This ROM is mostly for people that want a close to stock ROM with the stock visual style. It's also perfect for doing your own customizations.
A lot of the cooked in apps are removed in this ROM, the Start menu back to the stock 3 row style
Sense and everything else is back to the default HTC green.

MaxSense UI (android style homescreen)
This is a complete rewrite of the Sense homescreen, by maxycy.
It features a 3 screen, Android style, homescreen with widgets! The widgets can be placed ANYWHERE on the three screens.

Titanium (ROMs for raw speed!)
This is a minimal ROM version without Sense in it. It's used primarily for people that like to customize the default 6.5 homescreen (Titanium)
You can use it to install alternate homescreen interfaces like SPB Mobile Shell, etc
Very low memory footprint and good battery life, but very simple and lacks a lot of features that you would otherwise have available in Sense...

ROM features at a glance:
Very fast startup time. You find any startup wizards in this ROM. You'll be up and running in a couple minutes after flashing the ROM.
XDA_UC is built in. It will import your custom XML and REG files from your storage card after first boot.
My own Settings Exporter application is found in the Tools folder. Use it to export all your settings after you customize the device. When a new ROM comes down the line, use it to import everything and save time.
Everything is setup to use the phone right after flashing. Sounds, notifications, etc
The HTC Messaging client is removed, leaving the windows built SMS client for much faster texting...

Q | I've just flashed Energy cookie home tab and the network operator is showing as Energy.
Just go into "CHTEditor > Miscellaneous settings > Other settings (all the way at the bottom)> Custom Operator text". If you want your network Name in there remove the default text so the box is empty

XDA_UC FAQ
The XDA_UC cooked in my ROMs is modified from the stock XDA_UC made by Noonski. Great addon, by the way... Noonski did a great job with this !
The version in my ROMs is trimmed down to fit the needs of my ROM series.
Some of the extra features are:
It will copy shortcuts (.lnk files) found in \XDA_UC\Start Menu\ to the device's start menu folder (\windows\Start Menu) in the hierarchy that it finds on the storage card. For example: Let's say you have a navigation package on the storage card, like Navigon. If you make a shortcut to the navigon.exe file as Navigon.lnk and copy it to \XDA_UC\Start Menu\GPS\ as "Navigon.lnk" then on a fresh ROM install it will copy any shortcuts it finds there to the same location on the device, so it'll end up in \Windows\Start Menu\GPS\. This works for other folders on the Start Menu as well. Just put the shortcuts in \xda_uc\Start Menu\ in the folders you will like the shortcuts to appear to, on the device.
It will copy a custom splash screen from \Storage Card\XDA_UC\welcomehead.192.png to \windows automatically and overwrite the one in the ROM.
It will copy a custom Sense background found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\sense\wallpaper_sense.png to the device and set that wallpaper as default in Sense. So rename your wallpaper as "wallpaper_sense.png" and drop it in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\sense\ and on the next ROM flash that wallpaper will become your wallpaper in Sense.
Other than that XDA_UC works as designed by Noonski and it will do the following things:
It will automatically import your PPCbackup (*.pib) file found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will install custom XDAS scripts found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently install CAB files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will install special CAB files that require user input (such as Agreements or any type of prompt) found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\SD
It will silently import REG files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently install REG files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\Exporter, as exported by my own Settings Exporter, ONLY if the "automatic" file is also present in that folder (and it most cases it should be, enable that option in the Settings Export application's menu)
It will silently import XML files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently import CER files (usually Exchange certificates) found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently run custom MSCR files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
That's it, but don't forget to checkout the Addons folder and look in the XDA_UC section for tips and tutorials on how to export your email/wifi settings and various little .reg and tweaks you can add to your XDA_UC collection.
As always don't forget to check what installs automatically before reporting a problem with the ROM. Most of the time, if you notice you have a problem that nobody else is experience is because one of the cabs you dropped in the XDA_UC folder is installing automatically while you don't even think about it.

I've got the same, it looks awful and I had it in all 2.5 builds.
Great ROM! I have been using it for a couple of days, the only issue that I am having is somewhat unrelated to this particular ROM, but it appears that I am only having an issue with this one so I will ask.
What version of MSVC would work on this? I have 2 different versions and one won't install at all (gives an error - although works on my fuze w/energy's newest ROM), and the other occasionally locks up my phone (just the "phone" part of the pda) forcing a reset to make a call.

* Put your cabs into that folder (the cabs must be set to read only)

This rom totally sucks, The worst I have ever ever used. it freezes everytime I make or receive phone calls
Do you have to speak to him like that? Someone new is having a go at making our phones better and the best you can do is this. If your so great at making roms why dont you post it on Xda and we can have a look. Its because of morons like you that chefs leave.

Why - because it freezes when you make or receive phone calls? I'm sure this is probably an easy fix. Is there other aspects of the ROM you do not like?
Sergio has primarily made themes and not ROMs, and he's pretty new to this. You apparently do not realize this, nor failed to soak in the comment by Sergio about the ROM's 'not finished' status. You could be encouraging rather than disparaging with your comments and offer him suggestions to make his ROM better in your eyes.
Everyone wants the ultimate ROM, and chefs (well, most of them) want to make the ultimate ROM for everyone. I'm very certain they don't want to make a ROM for insults (and an observation that 3-4 other users have already indicated). The more chefs we have working in this community, the better off we will be. And all will be a happier time in the world of XDA-Devs. Koom-ba-ya!
I hope any negative comments wont put you off in any way Sergio. Just keep plugging away at it and it will come good.

Ok sorry for saying that. Please just ignore it. I just got a lil angry because this sort of error should not ever show up, Calling is the very main thing the phone should work well, any chef should check it before the rom's released.

1. If you are unable to launch the RUU, make sure the .rar (.zip) file and/or .NBH file name does not contain any % symbols! Some download utilities will convert the ( ) to %(% which will cause RUU to crash, just remove the % or rename the file to something else.
2. YouTube: Index page will not work in landscape with the keyboard out. Watching videos in landscape works fine. Only the index/search page is not working. Fix Posted
3. Slide to Unlock V2 (S2U2): Sergio has found that this application may cause unexpected freezes in his ROMs. He is looking into the issue and will post a fix when available.

1. If you are unable to launch the RUU, make sure the .rar (.zip) file and/or .NBH file name does not contain any % symbols! Some download utilities will convert the ( ) to %(% which will cause RUU to crash, just remove the % or rename the file to something else.
2. YouTube: Index page will not work in landscape with the keyboard out. Watching videos in landscape works fine. Only the index/search page is not working. Fix Posted
3. Slide to Unlock V2 (S2U2): Sergio has found that this application may cause unexpected freezes in his ROMs. He is looking into the issue and will post a fix when available.

Will the ROMS have a particular radio baked in and if so will the Rilphone.dll be included also, or should we just handle that ourselves? I used the stock radio from AT&T with EVO 5 and it worked fine. Battery life was good and so was reception.

I know it's kind of dumb making this request, but I'll post it anyway ^^
Is there any chance for a cab that puts sense just to its absolute default looks ? I see that the new theme is part of the spirit of the ROM, but I'm in love with the good old TouchFlo3D 2.1 looks (or at least sense 2.1 as I have a cab for the slider) ... that plain black and white ...

I have been having a slight problem when I receive calls, but it isn't something too big. I left a reply on the other thread, but I'll type it here as well.
When I am in landscape mode and in Opera browser to be exact, calls received will not show the screen. It shows "Incoming Call" at the top bar, but I am unable to see the number or accept the call.
I am forced to use the HARD key to answer, but once I do, the screen shows up perfectly fine. I haven't tried to go back into regular mode (not landscape) when receiving a call, but I just wanted to let you know about this.
Otherwise everything is great except I still can't disable the weather animation lol

Note that I find HTC's People Tab to be very buggy, just like their Message and Mail applications, so I have got rid of the People Tab (technically, I hide it) so that I don't get the slow response. I basically use back Microsoft's contact application to search for details and use the dialer to search for my contacts to make calls. I like it this way, so I decided to shared it with you guys. This is my second cooked Rhodium rom. It is not the latest build (23569) because this is the latest build that comes with threaded email. [Rhodium WWE 23549 ROM with Max Sense v1.02][22/Jun/2010]
This is my first cooked Rhodium rom. It is not the latest build (23549) but it was the build that JackWater's latest kitchen had. My rom is cooked for my own use, and is lean without many of the programs that I don’t use. When MaxSense UI came, I was eager to cook it in because the UI was smooth and light. So here it is, v1.02 MaxSense UI cooked in, to share with you guys.
It is definitely not perfect, since it is the first Rhodium cooked rom that I think can be shared with you guys.

Hi,
I am trying your ROM and so far speed is real amazing.
Adding or removing Quick links on max sense is restarting the sense. Not a big deal tho.
Like the task manger drop down with everything else like file manger, settings and so on.
Hopefully i'll get used to Max sense to keep this on. Again, speed is awesome.
How is the memory usage out of interest?

After almost 8hrs use, battery life is good. a few lockups with Opera. only way to get out is reset with stylus. IE didn't lock up like opera did tho.
If i come acorss other problems i'll let ya know.
EDIT:
Update after 18-19hrs running, The TaskMan,FileMan settings and so on is not working when you click on the triangle. Every thing else individually is working fine, I have not installed anything other than the Glass themed icons. Even after installation of icons it worked for long time. Soft reset didn't fix the problem.
Tap on Email notification does not take you to email(took atleast 5-6 tries before it worked).
On Program Quicklinks middle page, cannot add a quicklink to the last slot, but on the next page works fine.
Since anyting other than Opera errors are due to Max sense, It would be a good idea to release a ROM without Max Sense and let others tweek for their needs??
Of course it is a suggestion. I am flashing back to my regualr ROM. I'll jump on to the test wagon again if you put out a sense 2.5 version.
For me Max Sense seems a bit buggy still.

Thanks to all of you who had tried my rom and given me feedback. I believe the reason for the triangle task manager not working is because I am using Ameba and xTask together, and the registries was not cooked in properly.
I'll suggest that you go into the registries to remove Ameba registries (hkcu\software\xtep). Do a SR, then use the attached "xtask.reg". In case xTask is still not starting, start xTask in \windows and go to settings to select "run" on "AutoRun xHook".
Let me know if the above will solve your problems.

MaxSense v1.04 is out. If there is interest, I'll cook a new rom with it (sorry, Rhodium build will still be the same). For myself, I'll definitely cook one for my use, just that my personal rom and the one I release will have even lesser app than the one I release to you guys (e.g. I don't include ezInput).
I think it is great to see someone else creating roms for max sense, I have only see yours and Nrgy.. I have download it now to give it a test drive. thanks for your hard work

It would be nice to test the newer Max sense. initial release was a bit laggy. Hopefully you will have time for a release soon.

Have you tried the tweaks I mentioned in post #13? It should improve the rom.
I have my personal version with 23549 build with MaxSense v1.04. Not too difficult to release a public version, just need some time to upload and update the post. I'll do it by 2 days time.
I'm trying to put together a 23569 build with MaxSense v1.04. This is the first time I'm building my own kitchen. If it is successful, I can release that with MaxSense v1.04 as well.

I haven't tried the fix yet, but as far as i can see, it takes care of the task manager not working after awhile. it is not a big deal compared to the max sense lag.
it would be nice to test the newer version of max sense and see how responsive it is. I will wait for you to upload in couple of days.

I've probably spent a little too much time on this, but I'm really happy with how it turned out . This ROM, simplicity, is my take on what a Rhodium stock ROM should be. It's fast, stable and pretty. Quick review
Ok, so far this ROM is uber fast!, I don't know what you did special but most WM6.5 ROMs with sense and CHT run considerably slower than this. Also the memory at first boot was very good with 91 mb free, which again I have never seen with Sense& CHT running. The only thing that I see that needs to change ( my opinion) is the signal bars could be larger. It was great to have CHT & the editor loaded at first boot. Thanks for your work!

Very clean rom. I agree it runs considerably faster than most roms with CHT and Sense running. My only strife is Lack of marketplace app and My Phone.
Though its not a deal breaker, Swype would be nice as well

Yes, I can confirm the phone number issue.
My first impressions of this ROM:
- Very fast. Very pleased with that;
- No bulky apps. Really pleased with that;
- I'm missing a battery remaining percentage, instead of a visual battery;
- The phone number issue. This is a very irritating bug, because I don't want to answer all incoming phone calls. Maybe this is a quick fix, else I have to revert to NRGz ROMs.
- I've installed Opera Mobile 10: It's a lot faster than the included version. Maybe you can cook it in the next release?
Maybe the Facebook tab is a welcome addition to this ROM or if someone has an easy way to install this (cab?)? I can understand that not everyone uses Facebook and that this ROM should be without too many apps.
I've setup the phone with the setting in my signature. I had to install PHM Regedit to add the SlideWakup value.
Keep up the good work. I really like this initial ROM.
I am also going to be monitoring this ROM, right now I want something that is simple and fast.

Open arkswitch and go to processes (swipe your finger left).
Search for cprog.exe tap it and tap "Kill" (you might have to do this twice, until you don't see it in the list anymore).
Now run the cab attached.
Restart.
Enjoy!

followed directions, now cprog errors on load and phone will not work. any ideas or is reloading rom the best.

Please ad latest swype. most roms have the older one i have cab if you like(its the latest to my knowledge)
other than that id love to flash the second release
Personally I can live without swype and myphone. And while I like marketplace it's easy enough to add so I don't think it needs to be added either.
I like how light and fast it is. I would just get the caller id fix in the next release and maybe remove Opera, since most people are going to install either mobile 10 or mini 5.
The home page for IE sucks, what about using the standard one?

Other than that, your above planned changes look nice.
