Skyfire 2 Beta - Touch CDMA Android Development

Just found a link to Skyfire 2 Beta, did a quick search and didn't see any info on this.
Tried it and works great!! Flash included.

sweet!!! finally

This mostly likely contacts the server like all their others when launched and they will remotely disable the flash support...

this is now the baddest browser on the planet for android I would say give this a try even if you tried the first version. Its way better than version 1
It is finally actually a desktop browser with full flash.

Does it run slower than molasses still?

just try it man. There is nothing better. not even close

This won't parse on super eclair or myn's warm donut on my sd card i'm going to try to reinstall the system and see if that fixes the issues

It already soft reset my phone when going to google.com Using Super Eclair build.

hmm, one thing i've noticed having not used skyfire since WinMo is that it's alot slower then on winmo, sites take forever to load

Yea, it's still garbage... Flash isn't that important to me...

Doesn't run too smooth on our Phones, but i've seen it on the N1 and it runs silky smooth
I tried the flash and it's nice, but honestly i'd rather run the YouTube app. Opera gives a much nice and faster browsing experience imo
A bit off-topic here, but has anyone been able to play a High-Quality YouTube video from the app without the app fc'ing? Mine only plays on the low-quality...
Running Myn's latest!

you can download skyfire off the android market now

I wonder how it'd run on the incredible...
Edit: lol, nm, I totally forgot they were pretty much the same hardware... I don't know why I thought N1 was 800mhz...

tried it and I wasn't impressed. It seems like a skinned version of the standard browser? Also it was too slow to be useable even with my phone overclocked to 510

anyone else tried the new fennec mobile browser from mozilla? Just gave it a shot today. still an alpha release, i believe. could turn out to be a decent browser, but still a little jerky gui, but it seems to navigate to new sites quick enough.
Here is the post with the cab.

Unfortunately your phone only has 64Mb of RAM. We’re targeting phones with 128Mb or more for the best experience.

WTF. I love Firefox on my desktops, but I doubt I'm ever going to use it Mobile.
I tried it the other day, I think it sucks.
I do uses FF on my PC though.

skyfire browser- videos in browser!

anyone tried this yet? just got it from market and it runs pretty quick, plus it plays (most) videos that i've tested so far.
it's actually pretty damn good, fixes our issue with embedded flash videos!
Does skyfire only run on android 2.1? I'm still with my stable modaco 3.2 on android 2.1
Just wondering why I can't find Skyfire in the market. Is this due to the 1.5 or because I live in Belgium?
Works perfect on Kimera 1.6(overclocked). Faster than what ppls are rating. Multi-touch would've been nice. Zoom level settings very poor with only 3 levels of which CLOSE is too big while any other far too small. Downloaded through market.
Hopefully multitouch will be introduced later as its currently the only real issue I have with it.
And maybe the ability to set as default browser.
I think I will stick with it for a while as its a very good and quick browser and the flash support is fantastic.
thats weird. when I search for skyfire no results show up?

[Q] Best Android Browser?

I know that everyone will have a personal opinion and preference (not to mention that this question has probably been done to death); but with the latest GB update/ROM, 2.2 roms and so forth...At this point in development, is the stock browser just as good/fast as 3rd party ones (specifically sykfire and opera mini).
I am updated to the 1/28 Gingerbread, and while the stock is ok, I still prefer Dolphin. I have a difficult time exiting out of stock (the back key just pages back, does not exit), and downloads don't always seem to complete in the stock browser for me. Just my 2 cents.
Yeah I figure it really depends on the user's needs/wants. I read this interesting review, (tried to post the link but not allowed yet :-( and it looks like skyfire is the best overall (supposedly plays flash on non-flash devices pretty well)
Miren is the best.
Skyfire for Flash video conversion support. Also a good system for tabs and a great browser overall.
LATE EDIT: I read the topic wrong, I thought it was like a poll... Umm, the stock is still nowhere near as good as Skyfire or Dolphin.
I use dolphins mini.
ive used xscope for quite a while and nothing else ever really feels right when i try it
I like miren as well.

I'm using Opera atm but I don't like that there is no pinch to zoom or text formatting when I zoom in. It's still much better than stock, maybe I'll check out dolphin or miren
I would say boat browser

Miren seems like a really good browser. I like it.
Was using Opera now Dolphin is my primary, however a bit frustrated with not being able to set my home page. They all run rather slow to open up and are sluggish on my phone. Web pages are a pain in the *** on all of them. Either too small or too big.

Haven't heard of it. How does it compare. Why do you like it. I might have to give it a try.
Opera Mobile
Now using Opera Mobile and I find it is very snappy. I tried Dolphin and it seemed a bit cumbersome. I will have to check out Miren.

Xscope is very good, especially the newest version as they worked out alot of bugs, it is a paid app tho. Try the different versions of dolphin browser they are really fast and customizable.

I liked the functions embedded in Skyfire, but on the aospCMod, it seemed to cause some FC and weird booting issues.
I use dolphin HD licensed and skyfire for flash yxplayer fc's on me in aospcmod
Best browsers for android
For me it is opera mini ucweb for more info

I’ve tried few and have to agree skyfire works best.

Dolphin Browser HD updated for XOOM

And it seems a lot snappier and smoother. I'm running it on Desktop mode and I just loaded up a few pages to see, and it's definitely an improvement. Went to the Toshiba Tablet flash site and the flash was still a bit choppy, but not near as bad as it was when I tested it last night after installing the flash beta leak.
LINK. If you don't have this browser, you should try it out now that it works well on the XOOM.
Woot now dolphin has flash on my xoom...ty

Agreed, this is a phenominal app, but there is one thing I'm trying desperately to figure out. I have of course changed the user agent to desktop, but I have no idea how to change the search function to the non-mobile version of Google (defaults to the mobile version). Anyone have any ideas??

[Q] Chrome vs Opera

im just curious as to which browser you guys run and which ones you guys think run faster on past experiences. i use chrome as my daily driver but have been curious as to what might run faster. I would just download opera and try it but im at school and cannot run .exe files. thanks!

Firefox is the best.
Rapid.
Has Ad-Free.
Better than Chrome/Opera.
Of the two, I prefer Chrome. Opera has some nice features, but seems to get sluggish after a while (in my experience). Chrome is fast, lightweight, and has some nice extensions to customize to your liking. You should also consider the newest version of Firefox. I've been using that for a couple weeks and the speed improvement is nice.

+1 on firefox...
I'd really wanna know which browser will run well on a Pentium 4 PC with 512MB RAM. On Windows XP. So far FF is beating Chrome with a slight edge.
!!!
firefox the best!
I stay with Chrome.
Chrome all the way! I hate Firefox. Here's Lifehackers' browser speed test btw: Clicky<--
I don't like Firefox's new update and I tested it out, not for me. I prefer Chrome, it's simple and I just like simple.

This.
For the longest time, I was a diehard Firefox user.
Since they updated to 4, that ish is laggy as hell for me. I couldn't stand it.
So now I'm using Chrome.
Much better, in my opinion!

It was awful!
Loading times for pages used to be really quick. Then, when I updated, it got pretty bad at times. I'd have to restart Firefox sometimes.
I'd never had that problem, and have really fast internet, so I didn't understand what it was.
No problems whatsoever on Chrome though!
my browser
I'm using firefox 4.It's amazing

I am a diehard fan of Chrome. Not only do I run it on my Acer Netbook, but on my CR-48. I love how no matter what machine I use it all syncs up automagically.
