The team seems like they dont have access to a legend, so does anyone know if the same method for wildfire works on legend too ?

awww this really pisses me off, they promised Legend users that they'd get root through the next version of unrEVOked even before the wildfire was even released!
Problem is they don't have access to the hardware itself aka the Legend....
so does that means its not working...has anyone tried this on Legend?

I am ready to donate my legend...any takers can approach me friends...
At modaco is the method for soft root, which is primarly used for htc wildfire, but it suppose to work on htc legend aswell(did't tried myself).

When I googled unrevoked, i found that they made 1-click method for wildfire, so perhaps this method would work on legend too. I don't need it because I have a rooted phone but if you have the guts you can try it

Any brave souls out there to try it on thier Legend with chance of briking it or would the tool refuse to flash unknown phones?

Tried it few days back,the tool recognised the phone as Legend but refuzed to flash as it is not supported.
Hi all,
Bought new HTC wildfire last week, and few days before upgraded to ota Android 2.2.1 update by HTC.
Now I want utilise best of this HTC mobile device by installing live wallpaper, running 3D Games, etcs with good performance.
By reading some threads I come to know that I can do it by rooting it with customer ROM. So all expert guys here please help me, which arrival should I follow do this. I am totally new in this area. I will be very glad and.thank ful if some post video article.

Thank you for this incredible post, but I still dont know how to apply this update? i tried on my S-ON IS, renamed to update.zip and applied with recovery on 2.2.1 and 2.3.3, on both roms I got "invalid operation". and the device rebooted. kindly post instructions if possible and tell me what did I do wrong?

I treid downgrading my INCS back to RUU_Vivo_HTC_ARA_1.43.415.3_R_Radio_20.27.30.0802U_38.03.01.08_M_release_176683_signed using the DHD method, the rom flashed normally but after rebooting the phone i got stuck in a boot loop, seems radio won't downgarde, flashed back to WWE 2.3.3 GB and the device is up again. how can i get arabic on my device since it's S-ON and currently not downgrading from Gingerbread to froyo?

first: i download this update to golden card>rename to PG32IMG>it's downloadable in automatically & Checked in hboot >select reboot but still in 2.2.1
2nd: rename it to update.zip> (flash update.zip)> invalid operation ...
i think my problem is simple...
need s-off or what?

Just saw an article on this. It seems now that the Legend is the only HTC from that generation that can't be easily rooted
Really hope they add support for it

Last year i had a zte blade and I could rooted to cm7. The thing is that rooting the htc incredible 2 is more complicated than what i expected. So im asking, can anyone here send me or indicate me how to root this device. I already have the CM9 room for this device, also i have de rom manager.
so if anyone can help i will be more than grateful.
