Seller has no rating, looks like a waste of $21.28 to me.

Sometimes ya gotta bite it and take the chance. I got a 128G thumb for $30 from a Chinese seller. Works fine.
Oh and don't judge the cam quality. Was in a kind of dark room. Fresh Toast 2 cam quality is excellent. See sample 3rd pic of a bike in local supermarket I took.

Yeah and I dont use it that often, I trust my external HD's more for storage. And I have 3 8G usb's as readyboost. Was nice when I had a job in IT. Got lots of little toys. If I was still at that job I could have gotten the EVO but we were with verizon. I was the toy/gadget guy in the corp. Got the Storm and then the rest of the company started getting them when they saw mine. Hehehe. Imagine what would have happened if I had an android or better yet still have been there, could have gotten a tablet.

Holy freaking crap dude. I'm the senior systems engineer and network security architect for my company and would KILL for a flash drive that big!

Have you ever written more than 8 or so gigs to that? I hear that they're 8gb flash drives that are hacked to report around 128 gigs. Especially since wholesale flash prices are way higher than that....

Well, I have previously bought from chinese sellers who often list prices in the currency of the market they're targeting. I don't see anything wrong with that.
But after doing some more research on the shady side of flash memory, I'm beginning to think that this might not be such a great deal.
http://www.bunniestudios.com/blog/?p=918 this article is really interesting.
I bet that even if there really is a real 32gb NAND inside that microsd, no doubt that it probably is poor quality stuff.
And as far as the 128gb drives go: I'm convinced they're all fakes. (if they're less than a few hundred dollars) The internet is full of reports of drives (especially kingston branded) that are 2, 4, or 8gb drives packaged up in 128gb housings, with crafty formatting techniques used to report a larger free space than is actually available. I wouldn't be surprised if they're using the same techniques on larger size microSD cards too.

Well I've chanced it and bought one, he a UK shop with 100% feedback on over 140 items, having said that I've been stung by a chinaman with a 4gb card masquerading as 32gb. Fingers X'd
Check on Kingston website if they even make 32GB microsds!!!!
they only make 32GB SD cards not microSD!!! the highest Kingston makes for microsd is 16GB!!

what makes you think that it's not legitimate? Buy it and lets us know, OP!
I think I read sometime yesterday that Kingston just made they 32gb micro SD's available.
Has anyone from XDA forum bought this card who can verify it for us? Why is it listed under KingstonUK and not KingstonUS? It also says C4 if its legit have no problem getting this over SanDisk mSD 32GB C2.

I've ordered it, expecting it anyday now. Will thoroughly test capacity and speed then post results.
I bought one from a UK seller thinking it would be genuine, but trust me it's fake. The card even says class 6 although the advert says class 4.
Luckily I'm getting my money back and postage.
Buy one from a proper retailer.

I'll be testing with 'H2testw' as soon as it arrives to check capacity and read/write speeds are as advertised. If they're not I'll be getting a full refund.
Yeh, same seller. But, he was kind enough to refund me. Said he bought the stock from a clearance guy and did not realise they were fakes.
My card would crash at 2GB, you might be lucky but I doubt it
I'm now setlling for a class 2 from play.com. At least I'll know it's ligit.

I was looking into 32gb cards a while back and looking at the Kingston site noticed they didn't make them; still can't see they do.
ETA: some are claiming they now do and here they are selling them for £46. Confusion reigns.
ETA2: I'm not convinced, can't find anything about 32gb on Kingston's site and a couple of their official resellers...
Maybe the 32gb you have underlined refers to the ability of the adaptor rather than the cards available?
As for buyers not being entirely honest, funny how all those I asked about the legitimacy of their cards was confident they were genuine, but then never responded to the question over how they were selling something that didn't exist...

Bought a SanDisk 16Gb Class 2 micro SD card off eBay last November for what at the time looked like a 'too good to be true' price, around 30% lower that other sources.
Paid via PayPal which gave me an immediate route for refund should the card turn out to be fake.
Received the card promptly and, as promptly as was prudent, scanned the card, noted the serial number and went through the SanDisk fake card checking service.
The card passed as genuine, I left positive feedback for the seller.

Due diligence.

My phone depreciated in value more quickly than my computer.

I remember back when I sold my N95 after two years of ownership I got about 60% of the purchase price back.
I bought my HTC HD2 T9193 for about $550 a little over a year ago. You could say the more generic T8585 (int'l version) went for maybe $450. I'd probably be hard pressed to get more than $200 for it now even if it were in immaculate condition. That's 36% of what I paid after just a little over a year, or 44% if you consider it tantamount to the more common variant.
I have an Intel Core 2 Quad system that I built for around $600 total. Parting it out, I made about $400 back after over two years of ownership. That's 66% of what I paid.
My i7-920 was purchased at launch for $290 and change. I got $150 for it pretty easily -- still over 50% over three years later.
I guess what I'm rambling about is that mobile phones are moving really fast technologically. The competition is great and it's awesome to see yesterday's high-end become stupidly affordable now for pretty much anyone.
It seems the only smartphones that hold their value nowadays are iPhones, and that's only until the next incremental generation is announced. Once 1280x800 phones become the norm even the venerable Samsung Galaxy S II will probably be worth chump change.
I'm never going to pay more than $300 for a new smartphone (unsubsidized and contract-free).
Welcome to the phone world

I've had my captivate almost a year now.
It is probably worth half of what it was then.
Doesn't really bother me at all honestly.. I wanted to get the best tech I could and the atrix was still unreviewed.. so I got the best I could and have no regrets.
I wanted something that had great organizational abilities and to be able to play a few games.
Couldn't be happier still with ics rom running oses that aren't even released yet.
The rat race is for rats who can't research a device, and then be happy with it.
I made sure there was great 3rd party dev support upfront and I couldn't be more pleased.
a $600 phone worth less than $300 after only 8 months
welcome to the android world
Value is subjective. It only becomes an issue when market forces are called into play. For instance, my car is worth more to me than it is in the market. If i crashed it, my £2000 car would get back £1000 from Insurance, and an equal replacement would cost me £3000.
A new car will lose 80% of it's 'value' after a 20% of it's useful life.
If you want value for money you buy old, and keep it until it's dead. Early adopters get the worst economy, whether tech or cars.
Dirk posted some words of truth that are pretty priceless.
Another great option is to buy "recertified" type things.
I got an "open box" set of headphones that came with manufacturer warranty. MSRP was 360$. Average price new was roughly 260$.
I found them for 170$.
Always pays to do some research and find out what your options are.. sometimes you can get it "new" almost half off if you read the fine print of "open box."
Early adopters always get screwed though.. not just in cost.. Highest chance of malfunction ect ect.
Also.. especially in the phone world.. a lot of "upgrades" are really more flash than substance. Something else to keep in mind is that computers are stationary.. less likely to be dropped and whatever else.
Damn you Dirk! I was gonna do a car analogy.
Guess I'm stuck with this point instead.
The HD2 was, and still is, a MASSIVELY popular device. That has a huge effect on the market as everyone's 18 or 24 month contracts have come to an end so ebay is flooded with the things. You stick a "buy it now" price that you think is fair and you get some rich arse who doesn't give a toss and starts bidding at 1p, with no reserve. You can't compete with that.
This is just one of the many reasons why your phone was worth diddly-squat. I bought a HD2 on the UK release date for just under £500. I sold it 18 months later for £200 to a guy that made me feel like I'd just pimped my daughter when he asked me "So what's this Android software that's on it?"
There's plenty of other reasons, but this is one. Sad but true.
Edit: Incidentally, the guy I sold my HD2 to was holding an iPhone when he answered the door. I didn't just pimp my daughter out. I pimped her out to a serial killer.

Well, everyone has different opinion. Android is great. I have no doubt. I loved it and I still do. It was my first real 'smarty' smartphone after good old Windows Mobile on a tiny screen.
I'm in computer science field and thought this was a chance to try different OS and also learn C## while at it since I got it for free from my friend.
Only downside is that I feel like I've become Google's slave since none of the Google apps work like Android on iPhone and that sucks considering my heavy dependence on those apps to carry on with my life. Sometimes I'd wish, calendar would sync and GMail would pop up notification asap.
But otherwise, iPhone is great too.
And I think those batteries on Amazon are either fake or very heavily used up ones. Customer reviews do tell the truth.
I don't remember how much these NFCs were, but some were close to $2 and some were over $2 a piece. Plus one unused genuine Samsung cable and one used cable as well. And then there is a shipping cost. I'm not making tons of money from this transaction. I think it's a good deal regardless of inclusion of battery or not.

Yes if you're in U.S., $15 altogether (including shipping, handling, and delivery confirmation).
10$ shipped and you got a deal. also what do all the nfc stickers do anyway?

Sorry. If you don't know what NFC does, I think you should just go buy the other accessories you need separately. These cost anywhere between upper $1.50ish to $2 or more a piece if you were to buy it as a new and majority of them are new anyway.. and it's like DVD-RW + doesn't scratch, so you can rewrite them over and over until your phone dies.
Sold.
Thanks for sharing the NFC Chips/Card/Stickers, USB Cables, Battery

No offense but $260 for a used N7 without the $25 credit is not a great deal to me. JMO.
just to brag...
but i got my N7 for 170 OTD through gamestop's trade in program
bought used ipods of craigslist and traded them in for a profit
How did you get lucky when people can go out to their local stores and get a N7... Not sure I understand this thread.

That's fine that you're happy, but you shouldn't be "bragging" or calling yourself "extremely lucky" when in effect you just spent $285 for a used N7 with no warranty, on eBay. There's a reason you were the only bidder.
Got mine today at Sam's for $246

i told you i dont need it...in actuality if i did buy it from google i would pay 277 so i rather have cash than a gift card which i probaly will never use.
If you're happy with the price, than that's all that matters. I still don't know what the purpose of this thread is since I'm sure nobody is going to feel as good about your "deal" as you do, but enjoy your N7.

You get the $25 credit. As long as you restore it to factory, the first time you log in with your account, you get it.

Also, not the brag, but (and don't forget the 5% cashback) ...

Whatever. ..If you feel saving $17 cash is worth losing a $25 credit, manufacturers warranty, and getting "used" instead of "new" is worth it, then enjoy.

i'm not happy the fact that i save money i'm happy the fact that i actually acquire one while everywhere else is sold out. if i pre-order from my local gamestop it wouldnt arrive till august 4th and god know when google will actually send my stuff, they promise this week than put it off for another week. so yea the point is i'm felt lucky to be one of the few that own one, not because i save any money.

Hey, any screen issues with the 32gb? People have noted that there is a spongy affect on the left side when you press on it as well as a ripple affect. They have also noted the light bleed at the top. Any of those?
I was going to pick one up today, but Sandy is almost upon us and I may be without power for a few days, so I wouldn't get to play with it for too long...
PC World/Currys
Purchased today from PC World/Currys for £199.

any other canadian vancouverite purchasers? stores are about to open and ncix throughout has some in stock but i prefer confirmation from bestbuy/fs/staples/walmart where returning doesnt cost 15% fee.
They have been on sale in the Uk since Saturday - this has passed me by until now!

Bought mine at Office Depot for $250 yesterday (28th).
They are already on display with a price and they had multiples in stock.
Its a C9O and has minimal screen lift.
Also, the 8gb was on sale for $180.

this... staples were all closed in my area today it seems. office depots were open for a bit but said they were sold out this morning. hopefully sandy doesn't do too much damage as it passes through. stay safe!
So far it doesn't look like any stores in Phoenix, AZ are carrying the 32gb yet, but I still have a few places to call. I'll post an update if I get lucky. Otherwise it looks like 3-day shipping from NewEgg is my best bet. Wal-Mart is saying no availability until 11/5 for in-store pickup.
Update 10/29 - found one at the Staples Camelback location in Phoenix. They're not even stocking them on the floor, they're keeping them in the back with a "we have none in stock" sign on the Nexus display.
C90, no lift. Can't wait to root tonight.
I dont notice any issues with QC on mine. Woo hoo.
Staples charging $56 for one year accident protection? Ummm not paying 25% of cost, sorry. Square trade looks like $35 with the Tuesday coupon. 2 years too.
Mine is perfect, no screen lift and color are as bright as my friend 16gb.
Also my sn is CA

Exchanged my 16 GB that I bought almost 2 weeks ago for the last 32gb one that Office Depot had in stock today. 250$ plus tax and the 80$ break it and get a new one insurance for a total of 348$

Picked up mine today from Staples down here in Tucson, AZ. Store said they only had 3 I'm stock. I don't see any screen lift on it either pretty happy so far.

Just reserved one at Currys Nottingham Uk, on the page with the item says can pick up tomorrow, but conformation email says I can pick up within an hour of my order, so may pop down before they close and try get it.... You don't have to pay to order so worth a go. If they won't let me pick up tonight, will see if Comet have one tomorrow as they do 2 year warranty
