HTC BTE6300VW Extended Battery & Matching Battery Door - Droid Incredible Accessories

Thanks to this great site I checked out www. TheAccessoryKing .com (still can't post urls) and I found out they have the HTC BTE6300VW Extended Battery & Matching Battery Door arriving in the next day or so, and will begin shipping later this week.
They did say they have a lot of pre-orders but more than enough stock on their first shipment to fulfill them and have stock left over. I ordered a pair and they are $64.99 vs HTC Direct at $74.99.

Do you have a picture of what the new battery cover looks like, or how far it sticks out?

You may want to double check that availability. Accessory King lists it as not being available until 8 July.

extended battery for £14.98 + post

Hi guys i have seen a few different posts about the extended battery with the lager cover and came across this site i dont know if it has already been posted already because i cant find it so if double post to this site sorry if not may be of interest
http://www.easydevices.co.uk/products.asp?partno=BATHTCHD2EX&model=
i have never ordered from this site but for a battery with nearly 2x the power storage for £14.98 + post seems a pretty good deal to me will be Pre Ordering and will post a mini review of the battery once I have had it going for a day or 2
Nice find. I'm sure a lot of people would be interested in this. Any idea what the battery cover is made of? I'm spoilt by the metal cover already.
The official HTC extended battery is downright ugly. Though if you don't care about the aesthetic look of your phone, having 2200mAh does sound good.

am not too sure if its metal like the original or something different but as soon as i know ill update in the post
why cant they bring out extended battery that is normal size??? lol
i'd like to see a "mega" battery with a stepped design that goes all the way to the bottom, and has 6000mah. for trips, camping, etc. add a solar panel to it even better.
I'll be waiting closely for the review on this battery. Keep us all posted!
the official htc battery 2200 mah at price of 49 usd, this one is only 14 pounds, it is maybe unusable, isnt it?
yea - 2200mAH would be an option - my HD2 drains the battery too fast - less then 1 day the battery keeps my HD2 on life,...

Less than one day is about average for most smartphones under normal use. Same with the Hermes, Kaiser, iPhone, etc.

This is really nice. I would definitely go for this official battery once its out there. No matter what size my HD2 will have afterwards the cover is definetely an eye catcher on the top.
Or Spend an extra fiver and get a cradle with it, able to charge both phone and spare battery. Not Bad value for £19.99
I can't post links (new member) but it's on the same website. Here is a screencap of the web link.
I'm ordering this at the end of the month so will post about it soon.
EDIT:- Could a MOD please take the weblink restriction off me please. Thanks

But the whole point is that if you are out and about you don't have access to a cradle! And if you are using your HD2 in the car for satnav, it still drains slightly as most chargers do not supply enough power to run the program and recharge the machine. Hence the bigger battery is very useful. Also, I do not want to be regularly taking the back off to replace the battery so a spare is not for me. The phone is just not designed for it, unlike my cameras which make it easy to swap batteries.
I do think that the fold out stand on the HTC big battery is a piece of ridiculous style over function. How long before that breaks, and who is likely to use it - the phone is a handheld, after all. I have never thought - "oh i wish i could prop this up on something on my desk".

I think you could argue that it is function rather than style. AT worst, function AND style. Definitely not style over function.
I for one think this feature would be great when travelling on a train/plane and you want to watch a tv program or movie on the handset.

HD2 Standard Size 1500Mah battery

So, i was wondering.
Since the battery life of the HD2 is sort of disappointing i wanted to look for an extended battery.
Now, i came across an ebay item and i'd like your opinion;
Here is the subject in question: E-Bay HD2 1500mAh Battery
Do you guys think it is
a) Truly 1500Mah
b) Truly standard size
still in doubt as of to purchase that battery, thats why i want to ask the opinion of the community.
Cheers
This battery looks interesting but not sure whether the size is the same as stock battery so that the metal cover can close nicely?
i just bought it! for seven dollars (~£4.50 GBP) i think its worth a shot! will report back when/if i get it!

To the OP: thanks for the tip!
BTW Mugen also makes extended batteries - though not for the HD2 yet - that have a greater capacity and a standard fit, so ... it is possible (if not, a spare battery for 5 euro is always usefull)

Noone seem to notice the mfg date on that battery is 3months before the HD2 was even available worldwide?
Then again, it's only $7 bucks...
I dont believe this battery his really 1500mah... I have bought some other batteries on ebay to digital cameras who 'supposely' had bigger capicity, but in reality their time was much shorter than the one that came to the camera. I believe this should be the case...
Please feedback if the 1500mAh battery is long lasting?

On all previous HTC phones I could stick a microSD and simcard side by side on top of battery and cover would still fit perfectly. I can not do that with Leo so am interested to see how it fits.

I have always been of the opinion that cheap batteries from anywhere risk giving you a lot of pain, either physical pain from the device melting/blowing up/dieing in your hand or emotional pain from the device melting/blowing up/dieing in your hand (but you not being hurt)
Poorly manufactured batteries have a tendency of doing the above and is it really worth the risk for an extra 250mAh?

Third Party DIY Nexus 10 Internal Battery Replace & Review

Apologies in advance, I could not post proper links for this review due to my low post count.
Background
I ordered a Nexus 10 on November 20th, 2012. Initially, I was pleased by the battery life (~6.5 hours). Probably a bit like the "Boiling Frog" metaphor, the battery life degraded and I didn't notice it. I began to notice the battery degradation recently when my tablet began doing the 0% battery shutdown at ~30%.
First thing I did was get on the phone with Google, to see if I could get them to warranty the battery. Being a couple of months out of warranty, I wasn't expecting it to work, but it couldn't hurt. Denied. So, I called Samsung. After two hours and 8 different technical support phone numbers, they couldn't recognize my tablet serial number. I'm guessing it was unrecognized (which is no excuse, by the way) because I bought it on the Google Play Store. Besides all that, they didn't recognize the product name, kept calling it strange stuff like Nexus 10.1 or Nexus Note. They told me they would research and return my call at a later time.
My Nexus 10 is a daily driver with a minimum of 3 hours of use a day and often over 6. After impatiently waiting a few days, I began to panic. I began to believe that I had paid ~$500 for a device that, after a few more cells died, was going to be an expensive brick. I did some research and could find NO reviews on the NewPower99 battery kit, and since I felt that my options were relatively few, I decided to take the plunge.
Kit Contents and Cost
Ordered from Amazon for $75.41 (shipping and taxes included)
1 Cameron Sino 9000 mAh 33.3Wh Lithium-Polymer Battery Pack
One tiny screw screwdriver
Two tiny plastic prying tools
One plastic video disk (Not sure what it does, they special players can spin it fast and a video will play(!!??))
The Replacement and Pitfalls
Rather than using the included plastic video disk, I searched YouTube until I found the video: NewPower99 by NewLife2OldStuff. It's a great primer for this battery replacement, but there are a few parts where the disassembler's chubby fingers get in the way of disconnecting connectors. I suggest watching a few other Nexus 10 teardown videos prior to the actual teardown.
Prior to this, I had not attempted any mobile device disassembly/assembly. I did break a little insulation on the video card connector on the main board but this is due to me only watching the NewPower99 video and missing a detail (pull the display cable rather than flip the connector). Also due to how delicate the internals are, I did not push the display connector in far enough, which led to the display power being spotty. So, I had to redisassemble the tablet a few days later and reconnect it. Had I done more research and been a bit more patient, I'm sure the replacement would have been flawless.
The aftermath
My tablet has not yet exploded. As a matter of fact, one week in, I'm amazed. I've fell back in love with my tablet. Since the battery replacement, I usually don't need to charge until the end of the day. I run a conservative brightness on the display and, of course, that helps. Also, while I've done no metrics, I believe I've seen an unintended improvement: the charge time has improved. It was not unusual for me to plugin during sleep and still not have a full charge in the morning, which I haven't seen happen since battery replacement.
At a later time, I intend to respond to this post with an unscientific update on the battery's life. If the battery life stays relatively the same, I wouldn't really mind yearly replacement at this battery's warranty limitation and probably expected minimum life. Small price to pay for great battery life and a very underrated tablet.
Also, Samsung did, finally, return my support call a few days ago but I never called back. Don't call me, I'll call you .
Light Statistics (screenshots below)
~11:46 battery time
~6:45 display on time (top battery user)
~1:45 RetroArch (runner up top battery user)
These aren't really shabby for this tablet. Non-scientifically: the display was at ~25% brightness (in-house usage) >95% of the time, and never went below that. ~3-5% of the time the display was 100% (outdoors).
Program usage was an ordinary day of tablet use.
Not going to lie this is quite an informative post since the battery went bad over the course of a year later... I don't use my tablet as much as I first used to, but with all this android tech talk and new phones coming out at this time I use it more than I normally have (and also for the room 2 love that game!). I will definitely subscribe to this post so I have it handy if/when my battery starts doing the same thing as well in due time.
Thanks for this thread. My tablet has been going to 0% when it reaches 15%. So I've been looking to get a replacement battery. Cheers mate.

I am extremely disappointed by my options to keep my nexus 10 going strong. I love the tablet... w/ its current screen resolution i really have NO reason to upgrade to a new device... however right now NO ONE carries this part. If google is NOT going to support having replaceable batteries, and there are no 3rd party options, we are all simply buying disposable electronics... its ridiculous.
Right now it is out of stock everywhere and there are 2 shady listings on ebay. Extremely disapointed with this.

I am going through this right now! I am not sure if I should buy from the sketchy eBay listings or what. I tried NewPower99 but claim to have none in stock due to a production issue. It is almost as if Samsung went after the 3rd party that made the battery so they could not sell it. My tablet is out of warranty and I have no idea what to do as its worth nothing to trade in and I don't have the $$$ for a new tablet. If anyone has any suggestions or bought a replacement battery and hasn't used or opened it and would be willing to part with it I may be interested in buying.

I am having the same problem. Nobody has the battery. So I finally found something on Alibabba and ordered it straight from china for something like $35 (through a friend's account, so I don't have the details at the moment). I expect it will take at least a month to get here. I hope it works and lasts, cheap batteries rarely work out very well in the long term.... but what choice do I have? This is a $500 tablet that is not that old! It now powers down at 70% battery, usually less than an hour playing a game

Just a (size 0?) phillips (you can pull off the cover to see the screw size). If it fits one, it'll fit all you need to get it pulled off. :good:
Somewhat offtopic, I might end up getting the new Nexus tablet, regardless. The center of my screen has started getting a brown burn-in color, most visible when the screen is white. Which is quite a shame, this tablet is still plenty peppy for me (it's my fastest development device), and have no other problems with the device at all (the battery still shines). The monitor life was probably accelerated by the high sleep time (10 or 30 minutes, don't remember which one) since it's a development machine I keep it on between compiles so it's there when I need it. :crying:

Sorry for reviving a dead thread but I was looking for a replacement battery for the LG G2 also and had called LG to get a price. They will NOT sell the battery instead. They say you must send the device in and they will not even give an estimate over the phone, rather, they will give a price once the phone IS IN THEIR HANDS. So you're basically screwed if they decide to charge you $200 to replace the battery and the representative could not give any ball park figures at all.
Original battery must be 43gramm, fake around 33gr. In Russia Official LG service can replace originall battery for 35$ with work.
With new battery my phone now can play around 7h30m 720p video on full brightness. With old almost 4h30m. You can see difference.

No they don't. They actually don't make batteries for the G2, so any batteries you see for sale with the LG logo are either from "decommissioned" original phones which date back to 2013 or from used phones. So, in the end, you may be better off...

I discovered the difference between original and fake since searching trough forums and own experience. :victory:
Design od LG BL-T7 battery has not changed ever since. Still the only one with the stepped back side. Should look like the battery on right side of these pictures, otherwise it is nor factory replacement (aka fake):
http://i.imgur.com/2Yt8cvDh.jpg
http://i.imgur.com/hkVpceYh.jpg
http://i.imgur.com/XtEH5AQh.jpg
The main difference is in litle bulk under printing "BL-T7", arrows under the NOM icon and next right is noticeable differnce in T in that symbol, fonts differ and last letter of chineese behind the manufactured day,...
There is a believe that non-original batteries are not that bad at all, only they have poor wiring and connection port which often makes them behave unexpectedly.

Batteries without LG logo (unbranded or 3rd party) manufactured 2015 and on could be better than original (definitely better than unpopular fake ones) as new original batteries are from 2013/2014 (told to be "decommissioned or used" - not confirmed).
One thing I've noticed receiving my battery today is, if you look at the 4 cubes on the right with the icons, the original ones have lines at the back of the icon, where as the fake/non-genuine ones have the line in front of the icon (last icon).
In pictures from the previous post it also confirms this.

Battery life seems to be great to far 5+hrs SOT, mind you I've only had it for 2 days.
My battery came with the tools you linked but not in the battery package box, just in some electrostatic foil.
I've bought this one:
http://www.cellephone.de/en/cell-ph...y-li-polymer-for-lg-g2-replaced-bl-t7/a-4757/
I used polarcell batteries in my previous phones and have great experience with them. I didn't want to risk with mostly fake chinese batteries, so this was a safe bet. I charged it last night so i still have to fully discharge it yet. The original battery was almost 2 years old, and it started to loose its capacity. Not too much, but it was noticeable and there is the fact that I wanted to give new life to an ageing phone
The replacement went ok, with the hardest part being the removing the old battery which was glued pretty good to the base of the phone.

What do you think about new battery performance?
And for everyone: Is the D802 battery compatible with my D800?

I've bought this one:

I used polarcell batteries in my previous phones and have great experience with them. I didn't want to risk with mostly fake chinese batteries, so this was a safe bet. I charged it last night so i still have to fully discharge it yet. The original battery was almost 2 years old, and it started to loose its capacity. Not too much, but it was noticeable and there is the fact that I wanted to give new life to an ageing phone
The replacement went ok, with the hardest part being the removing the old battery which was glued pretty good to the base of the phone.

Wireless Charger Pack for Note 5 (it's NOT what you think it is)

Please look at the photo I have posted (zoom in to see the details) with this post to the thread. I am referring to the "Wireless Charging Pack" which is actually a cover for the Note 5 from Samsung, which has a battery built into it, which wirelessly charges the phone while the cover is on. The cover only covers the back, not the front (including the camera lens on the back as it contains a battery) but wirelessly charges the phone while it is on the phone (I have read in the description it has a switch on it which allows you to turn the wireless charging on and off, so essentially this is Samsung's version of a Mophie cover). You can use the phone normally (except for the camera of course) while the phone has this on it. The attached photo I got from this link (you have to scroll down a ways to find it): http://www.samsung.com/global/galaxy/galaxy-note5/charging/. Thoughts? It is currently not for sale on the Samsung accessory web site. Does anyone have one and what do they think of it? Does anyone know where to get one?
Looks pretty interesting.

We got a discussion about it going on there but none of the answers you want. the device is still a bit of a mystery as a lot of online retailers are not showing stock.
I am still looking for one as well...

No, that's not it. Look at the photo I posted - it's also a case

I did live chat with the Samsung Support reps and they said to call the Samsung Support line and I would be able to order one (that they were available). Here is the number: "1-855-SAM-USA1 (1-855-726-8721) 9am – 9pm ET, 7 days a week". Has anyone gotten one that can report on what they think of it?
Price?
I am not ready to order one so I didn't call. Give them a buzz and let us know

I was all about this until it set in that it covers the camera. What a waste. Had it not been for that the form factor on this looks stellar. Oh well...

Yes but you need to think of what is being asked here. With our current technology, batteries must be rectangular to work, and cannot have holes in them. So to have a hole for the camera would be to have to make the battery shorter (and maybe thicker to make up for that) and currently this case already adds alot of thickness as far as I have heard. So there's not much of an alternative! I believe the designers also probably thought it might not be such a big concern as well - because how much more often do you use the phone for other things - other than for the camera - most of the time, right?

They could have used 3 batteries to get around the camera. Would have increased the price a lot i am sure though.
Yes I was thinking that as well.

I live in the US. Not available for shipment here...
http://promo.samsungpromotions.com/giftsoftheseason/
Charging case is included in both pack promotions.
Did you end up getting the wireless charger pack? When you posted the reply about the gift promotion offers I looked and didn't see one... But I looked now again and the offers are no longer there. Last time I talked to Samsung on the phone they said it would be available in January... Samsung is still not offering it on their website, I noticed however, and calling that same Samsung order line I am told it is a 30 minute wait just to talk to someone - so I gave up on that. Anyone have anything on these?
They could have totally have the cut out for the camera. There's an impression for it. They could have just continued and sliced that bad boy open. I got $100 that the next version of it will feature a hole for the camera and flash. Looks good though.
BTW, what the heck color option of a Note 5 is that? That thing looks sexy as hell!!!
