What if I flash a different Radio - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

ok I have 2.2 currently installed with stock recovery and I am not able to flash a custom recovery yet my bootloader is unlocked. I am getting random restarts and an error that says "system process error"
If i were to flash an older radio like the one i had before upgrading to 2.2 would anything negative happen? and then would i be able to flash a 2.1 rom? cuz i try flashing a 2.1 rom but get an error with a message "status 2"

Cyanogen to 2.2

My phone is running the latest version of Cyanogen. (also with Amon_RA's recovery image)
I got the zip, changed it to update.zip, placed it on the root of my SD card, and attempted to flash.
I get the error
"E: no signature (411 files)"
"E: Verification failed"
"installation aborted."
Do I need to go back to the stock ROM before I can apply this update?
Maybe the recovery image has to be the stock recovery image?
First thing I'm going to try is installing the version that has root preinstalled.
I'll update after.

you NEED to flash the pre-rooted version if you're going to flash via recovery.
yep, that worked. Thanks.

cant flash .zips

thru recovery, tyrin to flash anything .zip... i get a giant crashlog. the visiable part i can see is
getprop ("ro.bootloader") == "1.33.2011"
followed by the same thing cept for 1.33.3011
1.33.2013
1.33.3013
ending in (error in sd/name of zip.zip) (status 7)
it would appear something happened to my bootloader. it only happened after tryin to flash the 2.2ota official flashable for dream/sapphire. i went to flash the market fix and i got that error. now i cant flash anything .zip. i didnt do anything to my bootloader. just tried to flash a rom. any help?
(thats what i get for taking it out of its resting place and tryin to mess with it)
ok... so i downloaded the 1.6 rooted official tmo rom, flashed it.
said flash sucessful.... but i am unable to boot. it goes right back into recovery mode.

Trying to apply OTA - Recovery error "No Command"

I've been out of circulation of the whole xda thing for a while with my HTC One M7 (AT&T version) but I decided to convert the thing to GPE and get updated to android 5.1.
The conversion went smoothly using this guide but now I am having some troubles applying the OTA to update to 5.1
I have tried unrooting by using the unroot option on SuperSU and then flash the OTA using stock recovery, only to find that when I want to access stock recovery I get a screen with the android alien lying down and the error "No command".
I figured I could flash the stock recovery with fastboot to fix this (downloaded 5.11.1700.3 from here) but I still get the same screen and error when selecting the recovery option from the fastboot screen.
In a desperate move I also tried flashing CWM and trying to flash the zip file but the OTA fails to install that way.
What am I doing wrong here?
Thanks in advance for your help

OTA fails - stock kernel/relock required?

I got an OTA update notification several months ago and wanted to update but realized it won't work as long as I have TWRP Recovery.
Now I decided to install the update. Therefore I flashed a stock recovery (M8_MINI_UL_Stock_Recovery_2.19.401.2.img).
When trying to update, the phone goes to the stock recovery and the update proceeds but after about one quarter of the progress bar, it stops and shows the red exclamation mark (!).
I have stock rom, stock recovery, unlocked bootloader, dt2w kernel.
Do I need to reflash the stock kernel and if so, where can I get it and how can I do it (fastboot flash boot.img?)?
Is it also really required to relock the bootloader in order to succeed in updating and if so, how can I do it?
Regards
So far I've tried flashing original kernel, original recovery and relocking but the update still fails.
I also took the firmware.zip included in the OTA and flashed it via h-boot. Seemed to update bootloader, recovery and radio.
Then I rebooted, again got the update notification and tried to install it.
But still the same error. Any ideas?
