[Q] Galaxy S mobile network not available

Can anyone help i have upgraded my phone after much trouble trying to unlock it via market apps & superoneclick neither worked and the phone ended up going into some dead mode and wouldnt fully load up.
So in still trying to end up with a network unlocked phone i have managed to upgrade my phone to GINGERBREAD.XXJVQ 2.3.4 which was successful and work perfectly over my broadband wireless network but when i try to make calls it tell me
"MOBILE NETWORK NOT AVAILABLE"
the mobile was previously on three uk network but is now debranded obviously with gingerbread
i tried a hard reset via *2767*3855* but still no change.
any help greatly appreciated many thanks in advance

Just look like your phone have been locked on three network.and your unlock is failed.
Did you try found any phone shop on market to unlock your phone?
probably just five pound for each one on Chinatown.
I was stay in UK for 3 year,and as I know, the Chinatown guys have special device for unlock phone ,one simply for all,whatever you upgrade rom,you will be never locked again.

I'm not sure about that really cause it also does this with my correct network sim card still installed......

You've checked your apn settings? Sounds top suspect to me.
If you've still got problems, flash ezbase gingerbread. Search dev section, full, simple instructions included.

I tried that it tells me i should
"insert a sim card to access network services"
Could you point me in the right direction so i know im using the right programs and files

Please check your IMEI number by dialing *#06# on the keypad. If it displays the correct imei number as displayed on the Phone box/ under the battery, then you are saved. If not you have lost your efs folder which contains the files which hold the imei data.
Did u get the phone with Gingerbread as stock rom? Try downgrading to an Eclair (2.1) ROM with Odin.

I'm very grateful for all your assistance but i just wasn't paying attention when i was putting my SIM card into my phone and put it in the wrong way round...!
i mean what happened to SIM card slots where sim cards only fit in one way...!

[Q] Network no conect

Good morning!!!
I have a SGS I in this smarthphone install CM7 everithing fine, after install ICSSGS 4.2 dont connect to the network TELCEL, only show "only emergency calls" in settings i can see the option TELCEL 3g but cant connect show " cant connect now, tray later" something that, i test more modems, other roms, and back to cm7 and nothing, the apn is correct, sim card is ok, i think some configuration is wrong, help me please, thanks.

No mobile Network available

I had Cyanmobile Initial A on my galaxy mini. I restored Cyanogenmod7 RC 5.7 using CWM restore.
After that, my mobile never had signal.
When I dial a number, it says ' No mobile Network available '
Signal strength is zero on status bar. With a x i.e. no signal
2. I then did a clean install/ flash of CM7 RC 5.7 still same problem.
3. I also did system format through CWM, still same problem.
4. I then flashed 2.3.4 Russian stock ROM using ODIN, coz it has some MODEM file when flashing through ODIN. Still same problem.
When I try to turn on FLIGHT mode, it gets stuck there, i.e. the option is faded always ( like its trying to go to flight mode) and after sometime( may be screen off, ) the fade goes away.
Call Settings in Stock 2.3.4 is faded, i.e. cannot select it ( like what happens when phone is actually in flight mode, but in my case even flight mode is unchecked in settings, but when I long press power button, I see Flight mode is ON, but it is faded option.)
I stock 2.3.4, my phone is always in flight mode, status bar shows airplane icon, but when I long press power button it displays flight mode is off HELP
I have attached screenshots for you to see. See Plane icon on status bar, but power menu says flight mode is off.
What do I do? Please HELP me to solve this problem.

please go to abiute info and see if it is showing the imei if no then please take it to Samsung care they will fix but before that flash stock

Solved! Sim was damaged!
I found that sim card is damaged.
I suspect that all the process of restore and flashing did some damage to my sim.
And does anyone in XDA know how to restore a bad sim card. Or I just buy a new sim. And I started a new thread because no other related thread answered such question. So I guess restore and flash may have a potential to damage sim card.
Anyways I'm keeping this thread alive for other people who may have similar trouble. Or moderators may delete this thread if they wish.

your network carrier should be able to replace your sim card.

i dont know why this process can damage your simcard..
maybe it's the time for you to change your sim..

And I suspected that your Sim damaged, but not seen the case or experienced that Sim damaged through Flashing ROM's
Also you may have accidentally hard forced pushed the Sim in the slot, damaging it.

Maybe you should try it with another sim card?

Today I put back my old sim in galaxy mini, then I went inside Location & Security > Set up Sim lock. I found that sim lock was on ( checked ). I never set up a sim lock, and my old sim was never locked. but now its locked.
I live in India, and I have a BSNL sim. I don't know sim unlock/ lock code, I had tried 0000, 1111, etc, but couldn't unlock.
I think, if I'm able to unlock the sim( may be PUK, or by lock code), then maybe my sim somes back as normal.
May be this explains that flashing process may have locked my sim.
I put the same sim in sonyericsson w200, it screen stuck at saying 'Insert Sim'. But Galaxy mini, shows I'm in Flight mode.

PUK help? Not working.
I got PUK from BSNL carrier.
I put that sim in and in dialer dial this:
**05*«PUK Code»*«Your new pin»*«Confirm your new pin»#
But it does not work. It says
Connection problem or invalid MMI code

So PUK does not work..
What is MMI code and how to get a valid MMI code?
Please suggest some help.

My sim was locked. maybe Cyanmobile Initial A locked it, I changed the sim, (PUK wasn't working), now everythings fine.
I'm keeping this thread alive, it may help some body in future because this topic was not properly answered in similar earlier XDA posts.

[Q] Network unavailable

Hi, Ive got xperia from vodafone australia.
When I first started my phone I upgraded it to 253 straight away. Everything was working fine, but needed root.
First I tried to open the bootloader following instructions from sony but something went wrong(bootloop) so I used the SUS for the recovery. Worked fine, and when the phone was starting for the first time it went through some network configuration.
Then I downgraded it to 434 with unbranded australian rom. Upgraded to 10.3.A.0.423, unlocked bootloader, rooted, everything was looking fine. But today in the morning I tried to use my phone and it says "network unavailable" when i try calling or that "the message couldnt be sent" when trying to text. I locked bootloader, flashed with sus, then flashed the same unbranded rom and still the same!
Emergency calls are working. Reception is full but it doesnt display "H"(wifi is off).
Is there any way to run the network configuration like it was after restoring though SUS? After flashing another roms there wasnt this kind of thing..
Anyone could help?

I flashed another rom, 10.3.A.0.432 from spain and my data connection started working(yes, im sure that wifi is off). But still I cant make a voice calll. During the basic configuration it asked me about my network and if I want to download internet settings. Is that possible that I need specific settings for Vodafone?
When I tried calling my number from another phone it just says "call ended" instead of connecting to the voicemail.
Anyone?

I'tried another vodafone card, was the same. Tomorrow I will try to get card from another network but it's a bit doggy, that I got data connection but no voice calls/texts. Remember that long time ago on wm I similar problem but there I was helpful the reinstall radio and run connection settings. Is there anything like radio drivers for xperia?

on android the radio is the baseband, have you called your provider to see if there are any issues with them or your account?

What do you have in APN in your phone?
Check it in Settings => Wireless & Network => More...=> Mobile Networks => Access Point Names
If you have no APN don't search further, this is your problem, you need to fill the APN with your operator informations.
I've had exactly the same problem after réinstalling the phone with PC compagnion.

can't register on networok after factory reset

Hi everyone
first of all, sorry for my bad english.
i have " Sony Xpeia V Lt25i " .
it was working good, and everything was good.
after one factory reset, i wasn't able to register on my simcard network.
i mean when i search for available networks, it shows my simcard providers(carrier), but when i want to register, it says "couldn't register, make sure inserted sim, or network is availabel"
i tried my sim on another Phone, and it working.
i tried to examine different simcard from another provider, 1 of them not even detected the simcard.
and suddenly anotherone of them worked
then i put back the original sim, and using roaming i was able to have signal in that provider that worked for third sim.
in brief i can only register on one network, that it is 2g!!!!
it mean terrible, even i cant register on 3g or 4g !!!
i tried so many things. like :
rebooting
factory reset, over and over ...
turn off and on radio from *#*#4636#*#*
after this i tried flashing with 3 different official rom, but not working.
while flashing with one of the rom, a warn msg displayed " Warn : this file is ignored simlock.ta "
after searching i looked if my phone have simlock, i think it doesn't have.
problem still not silved !!!!!!!!!!
