Hi there, the petitdroid animation is stretched because the size in "desc.txt" is set to 480x800, it should be 320x480. I attached a modified file.
I had troubles installing it as a ROM, so I just included the file bootanimation_petitdorid.zip which contains the animation itself. It has to be reanmed to bootanimation.zip and placed into /data/local, root needed.

Carnival Booth
Here is a boot animation I made: Carnival Booth // xda-developers.com
Please comment if this works (or not) for your device, and how you like it. I will add more versions when requested.

Shouldn't this have been posted under "themes"... Sinse it really has nothing directly to do with developing..?

True. Maybe a mod can move this thread?

[BOOT ANIMATION] Finisher! (Ultimate Kill)

I did not create the original animation. It can be found all over the web and I have no idea who created it. Credit goes to him/her.
This boot animation is based off of this gif:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

}
I added a background layer, removed almost 200 frames (the original was almost 900 frames) optimized the images and made an "ERIS" loop at the end.
.
Note: Sometimes my phone boots up too fast and the animation doesn't make it all the way to the end. Please report how your phone does and I will update accordingly. Enjoy!
That's a badass bootanimation thanks for your work,any way you know how to change the in call screen?

lmao @ this ^ guy
doesn't work on at all on my phone. Evil Eris 3.0 rooted, etc.
I did install it through the recovery menu though. Is there anything specific beyond "Install zip file" that needs to be done?

Yea you don't flash this through recovery. Put it in your tools folder on your pc and "adb push bootanimation.zip /data/local/"

ah. guess I'll have to wait till I get home from work to try it out then.
Get root explorer in market you can move it from SD card or to data/system/media and paste and it'll ask to overwrite and Say yes. Do easy and fast
Just installed, rebooted phone and runs perfect. No changes that needs to be made that I can see, looks awesome! I keep running adb shell bootanimation just so I can keep watching it. Great job

on the kernel flash file, look for bootanimation.zip wich can be located on data/local ... or ... system/media
If you already flashed the kernel and want to change the bootanimation to your own ... look for the files in the place i mention above on your phone and delete them or replace them to one u like
Note: Most kernel flash bootanimation to data/local, if u already had one, just the delete the bootanimation.zip from that directory and i will go back to the one u had before flashing kernel!
Take care
thank you so much, but unfortunately that didn't quite work.
well in my case I want to remove the firekernel bootanimation, the second screen after turning your phone on its before the little android sign and after the samsung sign. (basically the black screen where it says Samsung galaxy ace). I tried adding this line to build.prop (ro.kernel.android.bootanim=0) but that didn't work either.

This is not the bootanimation. It is the splash screen.

Decompile boot.img with kernel tools given by Ketut.Now decompile Ramdisk.Now make a blank png with paint or w/e thing you have.Now,convert it into rle,again using ketut's tools.Replace the rle in ramdisk with the one you made.Now,compile it back.You now have a black/empty splash image.This is as close as you are going to get

Hey mate, I'm sure some users find your posts useful.....
But please post stuff like this in the themes and apps forum
Its just making the development forum unnecessarily cluttered.
Same applies to the transparency thread you posted.
No disrespect to you intended:thumbup:

Thanks for this mate, however this should of been posted in the themes and apps section, not the development one.
The same boot animation was in V5 Customizer
Is this ZIP flashable in STOCK 'SENSE' ROM w/ STOCK Kernel??
It's flashable in any ROM as long as you have a custom recovery.
Is it safe? I mean it won't hard-brick my device right?
Nah it won't.
I flashed it and...
... Nothing happened :| booted up with usual 'QUIETLY BRILLIANT' , supported by 'TELSTRA ONE' Animation. Any suggestions? :\

It went under system\media, and the file was bootanimation.zip but i found the animation files under system\customize\resources and the file is hTC_bootup.zip. If the animations are in HTCbootup file then what did I flash? :x :¦ [POKERFACE]
Sent from my HTC Desire C using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Otherwise you can extract the bootanimation. Zip from the flashable zip and replace it with the one in system\ media.

[Q] Lollipop original spinning circle on kk? (loading animation)

I think that some animations, like that beautiful spinning circle that appears during loadings, could be ported on KK with theme manager, but in all themes i installed, i've never found the original one. It's possible to have that in some way?

Here you go, just copy this file to /system/media/ with Root Explorer and replace your current bootanimation. Make sure that you set permissions to rwx-r-r.

From what I can understand, the OP means the spinning animation when something is loading
Not the bootanimation.
This is probably very easy to port, but it has been a long time since I messed with XML's, smalis and .pngs, so I am not the right guy for the job.
My advice would be to contact a themer who has more mods like this and PM him nicely your request.
Hope that helps!
