Can I Take Icons from One Rom to Use with Another?

I really like the look of the new jb leaks, particularly the app icons ... but I'm not happy with the performance. Definitely slower than say CM10, at least when it comes to gaming.
I'd like to use the app icons from the new leaks with CM10, but I'm not sure how ...
Is it possible?
Open the rom with 7zip. Navigate to system then apps, look for the app with the icon (launcher / systemui etc)
Extract it (with 7 zip) look for draw able hdpi and inside u will find the icons. Copy them somewhere on your computer and then transfer that folder to your sd card.
Download desktop visualiser free from play store and find the icons then replace them with your current icons.

Thanks given!
Do you mean look for the specific app with the icon I want to copy? Or do you mean that a bunch of icons are stored in the launcher/systemui apps?
You will have to manually hunt down the icons you want. Each app has its own icons, not all icons in one app.
Which icons do you want? I or someone else might know which app they will be hidden in.

Unable to change icons on launch bar?

Had just spent some time grouping apps in the app drawer when I made an attempt to replace "Internet" on the launch bar with Chrome. It made a folder, which was fine, but now it's stuck that way, with seemingly no way to correct it without wiping HTC Sense data, which I have now had to do!
Pulling the Chrome or Internet icon out of the folder appears to work fine until I complete the gesture. The icon will dump onto the desktop or the bin, but it remains on the launch bar.
I didn't give this a go with any other app, though I can't see Internet in the app drawer which is a first! Is this normal with HTC Sense?
The dock essentially an extension to the app drawer. So when you drag it from the dock to the home screen, it creates a shortcut as if you were dragging it from the app tray.
To remove it from the dock, if that's what you're trying to do, you just move it from the dock to the app tray.
TL;DR - open the app tray, then open the folder, then drag out the unwanted app(s) from said folder.
Haha so simple! Thanks!
Bit weird though, first time I've used a launcher like that.

Root of sdcard is a file called (i think)
HTC_One_WWE_User_Guide.pdf
It's got all sorts of useless information in it.

No problem at all!
It is a bit weird, yeah. Hope you're enjoying your One!

Duplicated Apps Icon

Anyone encounter this weird issue of having duplicated apps icon in the app drawer ? When i try to remove either one...it will remove the entire apps. Forcing me to re-install the app again.

[Q] Move Apps to SD card, then icons and widgets disappear

Some apps are moveable to the SD card using the App page in Settings.
When I move any app it seems to move OK and functions but after a reboot the icons and widgets for moved apps disappear from home screens. The apps can still be run the app drawer so are still installed, if I drop an icon back onto a home page it again disappears on reboot.
I've tried 2 different (32 Gb) SD cards, a Sandisk and a Transcend and the same happens with both.
Anyone else notice this, or have an idea why it might be happening?

It's a common problem of google launcher
Try using any 3rd party launcher
I recommend you using lucid launcher, apex launcher or nova launcher

Thank you, that's very helpful. I've just tried Nova launcher as it was a familiar launcher from another phone and the icons now stay after a reboot, BBC weather widget still gets lost, but I'll try another launcher and see if I get that to remain.
Thanks.

I suggest u lucid launcher (If you want a simple and fast launcher) I personally use this launcher and it's working flawless without any problem
Thanks for the tip, I'll try it.
I've discovered that apps with widgets or root requirements should not be moved to the sd card, so I'm happy that icons don't disappear now I've stopped using Google launcher.
Lollipop Fixed This for Me
I had the same issue with 4.4.4. Any app that was moved to the SD card would have its icon disappear after a restart. I haven't tested all the movable apps but the 3 that I did try no longer have this issue once I got the 5..01 Lollipop update.
