I'm trying to edit the text that displays when I have a new notification. Currently it's black on black and I'd like to make it white on black. Here's the walk through I've been using.
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-hacks/27622-text-color-change-complete-how-do.html
My question is which part of the theme edits the black text shown in this picture? Ignore the black over my number.. covered that part up in paint. It's the part that says "Testing Text Color." Any help would be much appreciated.

EDIT: Attached the actual theme that I'm trying to work on.
EDIT: I think I got it. I pulled the framework-res.apk and started with process of elimination, lol. Looks like all I had to edit was the status_bar.xml.

This cab for the clock changed the font color on home page on my phone.

Something in this clock changed my home page text (Call history and Calender) from black to white.. I know a lot of people have asked how to change that font color and I haven't seen any easy fixes.. I thought that maybe it might help someone that knows about all the workings of these files and such might be able to dissect this since it's something within this cab that did it.. It's the clean white clock cab in this post..
If this doesn't help anyone sorry to take up space..

Battery indicator icon, no time to follow it through..

If anyone wants the .psd you are welcome to do what you like with it.
I came up with the concept while tring to achieve 100 unique increments without using numbers and I just don't have time to finish it right now. I'm not asking for help with it, just offering it up to anyone who might like it and be inclined to make it a working mod. You guys are welcome to do whatever you like with the .psd, if you want to tweak how it looks or whatever.
I'm on my phone right now, I'll post the .psd later today.

Have a look at framework/base/core/res/res/drawable/progress_horizontal.xml and framework/base/core/res/res/drawable/progress_indeterminate_horizontal.xml and provide the corresponding images ...
Edit: I was wrong, you need to edit / modify the seek-* files, located in the same directory.
What wallpaper are you using? It looks nice

themeing pop up menus?

i am trying to style the text color from default black to white in these menus only so look like they look like the screen shot. the only way i have been able to do this so far is by changing the value <color name="bright_foreground_light">#ff000000</color> to white in colors. which messes up all the text fields and i get all white text on white fields. i messed with the widget styles in values for a few days now and i cant get anything to work right. i am new to styling android. but a fast learner can someone help me with this project i would definitely consider donating to a dev for help. running stock rooted gingerbread 2.3.4.
