XDA 2i GPS Cradle - PDA2, XDA IIi, 2020i General

Hi all,
I've got a powered GPS cradle for an XDA 2i, which as I no longer have my XDA 2i is surplus to requirements.
It's a Haicom cradle not sure of exact model - happy to send photos if people are interested.
Was working last time I used it.
Item in the UK - PM me with reasonable offers.
G

do you have some pictures with GPS cradle?

How much you looking for it and what software would you say was best to use with it?

can xda power haicom gps

I`ve recently bought the haicom gps mouse after hearing excellent reviews on this site. It works perfectly, but is there a way to power the mouse via the xda (so i can us it other than in the car) the model is hi-203e. its the one where its normally powered through the car fag lighter. thanks a lot...top site
GPS receivers generally use more power than the XDA can supply: Although the Haicom seems not too hungy from what I gather on the web (<90 mA @ 4.5-5.5 V), I doubt the XDA's power-out pin can source that.
At the very least, it would dramatically reduce battery life.
Buy a cable that will power both the XDA and the GPS in the car. That's what I did.

Spare External Battery and Accessories.

Hi,
I know that this is not ebay, but I have a few spares lying around, from my old XDA, that I would like to sell.
I have the new Xda2 and I have no use for them.
I have:
A USB docking cradle, External Batt, Earphones, Software and Manuals
£80 the lot!
or nearest cash offer
It's been a long time since your post I know, but do you by any chance still have the external battery? If so, please PM me.

The XDA extended battery is available on eBay, currently £14.99 brand new:

XDA1 Car Kit

Hi all,
Wondered if anyone can help me? I have an XDA1 and have just bought a car kit which looks great. However I need to connect my haicom 203e gps receiver with PS2 plug. The box says GPS navigation is optional but the instructions give no info as to how to connect it.
I have a funny looking plug coming off the main cable where the antenna connects and figured that may be something to do with it.
Has anyone got any info how to connect GPS to the kit itself
Thanks
I have had exactly the same combination.....
Have to take a look this afternoon, to my links. There was a great review of the car kit, where all the schematas were drawn....
I cut of the original GPS-Connector of the car kt and used a PS/connector to vonnect my Haicom gps.....
Stefan
By the way: My complete set will be at Ebay in a few days..... ;-)
Thanks Stefan that would be great - I take it you had a plug with 8 wires If I knew what the 8 wires did I could wire up the Haicom via a ps2 connector. Its the function of each of the wires that causes me the problem.

Our phones are pretty picky when it comes to which adapter they work with. I've tested a couple actually and I can vouch for the one made by analogix. I would post a direct link to the amazon listing, but as a new user I need to rack up 10 posts...
But if you search "SlimPort HDMI Adapter - Connect MyDP enabled mobile devices to any TV" it'll come up as $29 Prime.
This adapter, while expensive, works very well and has not cut out on me during hours of straight use. It has a charging port to provide power to the phone while in use, but i should tell you that while i had this connected my phone still discharged very slowly. Maybe 1% every 5-10 minutes. But that's with wi-fi, blutooth connected to a keyboard and mouse, and an aux cable hooked up to my speakers. So... not bad.
I got this one:
http://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/161112913690?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
Works great. With Wifi & BT on, battery got discharged about 4%. Not too bad considering that even the screen remains on.
The "slow charging" message is always there.
Anyone knows how to turn the screen off while connected to a big screen?
EDIT:
Oh cool.. found an app which does that!

I've yet to see if it works on Slimport, but I don't think it'll be a problem..
Hey guys, I'm thinking about using a slimport adapter with my charging dock. Could you please tell me if they will work together?

I've tried this trick before on an official Samsung dock and official Samsung MHL adapter on an S4.
Didn't work.
MHL/Slimport utilizes alot more pins for it to work and I strongly doubt the charging dock will carry all the signals. Most probably it just carries the 2 power lines over.

I tested the slimport; worked with a few HDTVs but there is a 1080p Samsung TV made a few years ago that doesn't work with it. Could be HDMI port compatibility problem. I was able to get the same TV display the screen of a moto photon phone just using a microHDMI to HDMI cable.
Anyone tried miracast with 1080p video?

I'm using the Cable Matters slimport adapter. It's a little glitchy.
It needs to be disconnected and re-connected once in a while, but more importantly you cannot connect the power or it cuts out completely. The G2 battery holds out ok and charges quickly so I'm just rolling with it but you may want to try another one before going to this.
My adapter only displays the camera in portrait mode. Is that a problem for anyone else or just my adapter?
Sorry to bump this thread after a while, but I was wondering the same thing. What is the best value for money Slimport on the market?
Just bought this one from monoprice
http://www.monoprice.com/mobile/product/details/10252
Reviews say it works well with the G2
& it's $11.50 during Black Friday weekend!!!
