Full Unicode font? - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm noticing that one quite prominent set of Unicode characters missing from the built in Droid Sans font is the International Phonetic Alphabet. For example look at the article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urumqi
and look at the IPA for the English pronunciation: /uːˈruːmtʃi/
On my N1 and Milestone, the symbol between : and r is a box, and the symbol between t and i is also a box. I have a linguistics background so these symbols actually have meaning to me and I'd like to be able to read them on the go.
You'll see that there are some other symbols on that same page which appear as boxes. The same page viewed on my iPod Touch displays *all* of the Unicode characters. In particular the Arabic-derived symbols in the Uyghur language look awful on Android.
Is there anything I can do my rooted N1 to get full Unicode in IPA and all imaginable languages? Has anyone had any success with this?

How to make my Keyboard letters not bold?

Question mark character

Dear xda-community,
since I did a few things with my phone ( rooted, applied new font, lagfix ) I have a few problems with the display of text.
In some parts of the text, there are question marks in boxes.
Not like they replace real letters, but they are somehow appended to some text, for example for the menu entry of Weather and Toggle Widgets.
Any idea what this could be and how to fix it?
If you want screens or further details just tell me and i'll add it.

Edit: By switching back to the default font, I figured out that it was the custom font. It was called Comfortaa as used here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=752200
I used LauncherPro Plus with it and there were those question marks everywhere, maybe someone knows where this comes from, so I could make it work on my device.

Better Keyboard 8 layout..

For those BK8 users out there, is there a way to "center" the full QWERTY keyboard so that the middle line (starting with key "a") is more centered, and do not fill out to the left and right side of the screen?
While we're at it, does anyone know if there's an official name for both layouts? The more centered one and the spread out one.
EDIT: If you need an example, I mean this layout http://www.jayceooi.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/Android-2.3-Gingerbread-keyboard.jpg vs this layout http://betterandroid.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/11.png. How do I make BK8 look like the first picture?

[Q] Editing Fonts

I am looking to edit numerals 0-9 and colon ( : ) on Segoe.ttf so that it has a block border, and the actual characters are transparent. It would look something similar to Impact Label, just with the Segoe font inside the block.
I tried a few trial versions of expensive software, but was unable to save the fonts, and I am having lots of errors with (my first time using) FontForge. So if anyone has a simple way or would maybe consider doing it for me, that would be great.
Hi,
I would like to know if anyone could do 2 small modifications on 2 fonts I'm using :
-first one is on the "04B_19__0", I need an accent on the small "e" for this letter "é"
-second modification is for my MIUI theme fonts, I'm missing just one letter, the "ż" ( z with a dote above) in the opificio font. So just one letter in 3 files (Arial-Bold.ttf, Arial.ttf and Clockopia.ttf)
Thanks.
