Bootloader 90.78 problem! - Motorola Droid and Milestone Q&A, Help & Troublesh

I have a big problem since i bought my Milestone (on April). Whenever i try to turn it on, after the Motorola (M) logo, a screen appears with this text:
Bootloader
90.78
Err:19,23,F0,58,00
Battery OK
OK to Program
Connect USB
Data cable
I ve tried several times to pass 2.1 stock and reflash 90.78 bootloader but the same message appears 5 out of 10 times i try to turn the phone on. Now that i Rooted it using GOT's sbf and GOT Recovery 1.03 the message seems to appear even more times. I ve also tried to root it with the Vulnerable Recovery for 90.78 and the original OpenRecovery but the result s the same. I ve tried to flash 90.78 bootloader many times but nothing...
I ve searched the whole web to solve it but i cant find anything. I found only 2-3 topics where people ask for a solution to the problem but noone knows how to fix it.
I m absolutely sure that it doesnt have to do with the root because i had this issue since i bought the phone. It may be hardware issue. Noone knows...
Please help me solve it. Thanks!

When those text appear, it means that you have entered the bootloader of your phone. When you pwer on your phone it shouldn't normally bring you to the boot loader. The bootloader is only accessed by holding down on the Dpad and powering on the phone. make sure your not doing this the pressing the power on button. It may also be a defect whereby your Dpad down button is stuck or something.
Since it always loads into bootloader you can try unjamming the Dpad down button, if not then y'ull most probably have to send it for servicing

It doesnt have to do with it. It s an error of the bootloader. I dont access the bootloader menu on purpose. Most people claim that it s a hardware issue and suggest that i should send it to Motorola for service. I dont know what to do...

[q] [help] moto milestone bootloop at android logo

I have a Motorola milestone (second hand) and tried to load a update for it then i noticed the following problems:
- boot looping at the android logo
-when i tried going into bootloader i get a blank black screen
-when i go into recovery and try to update using "update.zip" i get a EOCD error and another time i get a authorization error
WHAT TO DO????
Come on dude,
Just search EOCD error, I think you will find at least 15 topics.
You lost root, Nedd to flash vulnerable recovery sbf. You will find latest instructions on nadalbak site.
You can find site inside his cm7 topic. Milestone android development.
Sent from my Milestone using xda premium
i'm fairly new to the milestone side, the version that is on the phone is 2.2
Everybody's instruction is to put the phone in bootloader mode and connect to the pc but i only get a black screen and then the phone restarts hence rsd lite not picking it up
Put it in recovery and try to flash another sbf, it should work.
Trough rsd lite.
try that just now and still no response on the pc, and i know the usb port is working because i charged the phone
Are you sure your drivers for phone are correctly installed?
Explain correctly installed?
yeah so what about when i try going into boot loader and get a blank screen?
In the early development of moto driver's phone wasn't recognised by rsd lite.
I didn't hear of that problem anymore though. The solution was to reinstall / install drivers again or try on another pc.
Cable could also be a problem.
Are you trying to enter bootloader with the cable connected to phone? If yes try without and after connect it.
The cable isnt the problem, im sure of that and i tried on two other laptops but they are 64 bit windows 7 but anyways why when i press "power+vol up + camera" i only get a black screen and not black screen with other milestones?
I'm thinking thats the problem or reason why rsd lite not picking up the phone cuz its not in bootloader mode
Ahhh
It took some time since last used bootloader.
But I think is power + x for bootloader.
==== update ====
my bad that's for recovery
oky just tested:
it's power + up key from keyboard
now when i first pressed the power i got a black screen, so i pressed the power again while holding the up key .. and voila:
bootloader 90.78
battery ok
....
good luck ..
when this happened to me i was shocked so much , but then i got it fixed so yay
sigh was trying that from lastnight but no luck
Does anybody have a video to how this done because i'm wondering if i'm doing it right cuz i'm still getting black screen when trying to go into bootloader, i pressed "power + up button on DPAD" and then pressed the power button again but still black screen
While the phone is off, hold the up button on the D-pad and press the power button. Do not let go of the up button until the bootloader screen comes up.
while the phone is off? i can't turn off the phone because its just looping so i take out the battery then put it in and press up and power button so is that the right way?
Yes,
If it doesn't work, for pre 90.78 bootloader I think it was another combination of keys.
Google it
Got it all wrong, the problem was that a app was installed and then the phone was restarted then the looping start at the android sign
no luck, the ways i see is the same as urs

about the video:
found this on youtube:
bootloader:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjQcvg3Eplc
recovery:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3Vl9NbU6Ag&feature=related
if you enter recovery try wiping everything / factory reset and see if it get into android.
other than this i haven't got any other idea,
it is possible to reboot it with adb if you got a rom that supports adb at boot. ex CM7. cm6 and froyo rom not sure but this is a long shot.

[SOLVED]Can't boot to bootloader

I finally found solution! Bootloader on my phone isn't nearly same as usual one, no white screen, just a few lines which designate modes. 4 are present:
-normal boot
-fastboot
-recovery
-UART boot
I accessed it by pressing and holding power button and volume up button at the same time during device boot.
I hope someone with a same problem will find this helpful!
I managed to boot to system but I still can't get in bootloader. No combos and neither adb works.
I got my HTC One from second hand several days ago and I instantly noticed that something wasn't right. System was naked, no bloatware, no usual settings, no proper identification so I decided to install custom rom. I tried to boot to bootloader which I wanted to unlock(I guessed it's locked 'cause recovery is stock) with key combos, adb but it simply didn't boot to bootloader nor it rebooted or sometimes it went to factory mode which is on chinese. Again, I tried to find which version of phone I own but I can't figure it out. Moreover, I downloaded and put stock rom on virtual sd card and booted to recovery, opened menu with power button and selected to install package from zip just like it's said in thread but it outputted 'Install /sdcard...' and nothing else for past couple hours. Recovery isn't frozen, It shows\hides menu when power button is pressed. I tried to force shut down it by holding only\in combination with power button\volume buttons but nothing happens. I don't know what else to do...
Any help would be appreciated.
EDIT: It eventually discharged but when I turn it on with charger in it I get blinking white screen on every 3 seconds and when long pressing power button phone just vibrates. In combination with volume down it keeps blinking on every 3 secs and with volume up on every 5 seconds. To me, it looks like it's trying to boot but bootloader can't find anything installed. Computer is recognizing usb device on the moments when I connect it with usb just like when device is rebooting.

You have a fake phone
I agree, you've probably got a counterfeit One, but you can't flash custom roms from stock recovery anyway.
Firstly, thank you for any answer. How do you mean 'fake'?! I got it in original box and IMEI's are same(on box and device) What can I do with it then?
I tried to flash stock rom designed for stock recovery, at least that's how I understood.
MIDN07100 (Europe, a guy from which I got device claimed that it's from England so this should fit)
IMEI:354436053103493(same on device and on box, checked with IMEI checker it appears as valid HTC One device)

[Q] Brick? Any hope?

I've got my Atrix HD with OTA at&t 4.1.1
I got root and unlocked bootloader with motochopper and motopocalypse.
Then I deicded to downgrade to 4.0.4.
I don't know why, but I used Razr HD Utility 1.01... I just had it on my harddrive, and accidentally chosen it
Process has launched, but it crashed on "Press any key, when the screen is back". Screen hadn't got back...
It doesn't enter fastboot, it just lights green diod sometimes, when power power cable connected.
Please tell my, if there's any hope to reanimate it?
Try to enter recovery (volume up-down pressed then power on)... If that does not work, try flashing stock with mtyhtools with a motorola factory cable (you can get one for about $10), and if that doesn't work you have a hard-bricked phone, $50 to get it fixed, search for the MobileTechVideos guys on Google. Don't like to post links due spam stuff...

[Q] Bricked Xperia c6603 that can't shut down

So the thing is, I decided to buy this phone from another person a few days ago while it was still working but it had this one problem where the owner told me about how the phone can't be shutdown unless the battery runs out of power. Any time you shut it down, it simply reboots instead. I thought it was most likely a problem I could fix after flashing, so I decided to buy it.
Using Flashtool I was able to see that if timed pressing the buttons and plugging it into my computer right before the reboot started, I could boot into flashmode. This phone came in the 4.4 KK firmware and the 10.5.1.A.0.292 Generic NCB build, so I flashed an older kernel and rooted it using Towelroot before reflashing the 10.5.1.A.0.292 Generic NCB kernal. After rooting (and testing if root apps can shut it down which didn't work either), with a locked bootloader I installed the XZDualRecovery using the method here because I was finding it so hard to unlock the bootloader and Flashtool wouldn't do it either. It automatically booted into TWRP recovery menu but when I tried to flash a ROM (existenz Ultimate 3.5 to be precise), it simply made the screen go black for a second and took me back to the recovery menu. So figuring it was a bad download, I downloaded a smaller ROM but when I rebooted I accidentally went into PhilZ Touch menu instead. Deciding to do the usual wipe before flashing, here's where I messed up like an idiot. I saw an option along the lines of "Wipe CLEAN for flashing ROM" or something and trusted it so much despite it saying it's gonna wipe the system partition clean as well (I still don't know why I accepted even when warned of that).
So basically now I have a system that boots the SONY splashscreen and then goes black with the back light still on unless the battery runs out. I can't shut it down no matter how long I hold the power button and if I restart, it boots back to the same thing. I have no recovery menu now thanks to my genius idea of wiping the system, and the only thing I can enter is flashmode. So when I try to flash an FTF firmware (I tried every firmware I could get) back into the phone with Flashtool, it would simply say "preparing for flashing" for about a minute before it says "device disconnected" because the phone decides to exit flash mode and boot normally. I have a locked bootloader (with bootloader unlocking allowed), so I can't flash recovery menus. When I try booting by holding the VolumeUp key and plugging it in, it enters flash mode only with the red LED on and I still get the same results on Flashtool.
Was wondering if there were any ways around this that I might have missed before deciding to open the phone and change the hardware? And if it comes to that, what would I need to change (have always been a software guy when it comes to phones)? Any tips and advice would be appreciated.
TLDR: Have a bricked c6603 from wiping the system, that can't shutdown and keeps rebooting and refuses to be flashed.
If you have time before the phone reboots, hold Volume UP and the power key for 15 seconds. The phone will vibrate once at 10 seconds. Keep holding the keys until you feel 3 vibrations. This will hard power down the phone.

^I've tried this and it simply boots back up again.
Hmm. That should definitely shut the device down, not restart it.
Sounds like there could possibly be an issue with your power button. I've heard of issues with the power button after water damage. Have you checked the water ingress indicators under the flaps? If any are red, it points to earlier damage from water.

Seems like you're right, I just checked it and it indeed has a faded red color on it. Do you think if I take the phone apart it the power button could be fixed or should I swap something else inside this from another Xperia?

I experienced this problem
Pls hold down volume When u connect your phone to pc via flashtool,
It will connect in flash mode
After that , just flash 0.230 kernel via flash mode ( kernel not rom )
Then disconnect your phone
Turn it off ( hold power button and volume up till it vibrates 3 times )
Then before it turn on again , hold down the volume down and connect it to pc via usb and this time flash 0.283 Rom ( not kernel )
This worked for me

hard brick

So I tried to relock my BL and restore it to the stock so I could send my phone to the lab for a broken screen replacement.
I flashed stock OS, it worked great, messed around with locking the BL with the flashtool, and all I left was restoring my DRM keys from the backup I created..
I couldn't make it so I found somewhere that I might need a real super user help and not the kingroot one..
so after alot of fastboot modes I've been entered, I shut down the device one more time to flash the other old ROM for the SU,
and when I tried to enter fastboot by plugging in the cable, I noticed the device won't turn on..
no response, dead, no vol down+ power to force restart, no fastboot, nothing.. the only living signal I get is by plugging power cord and the led is blinking red or blinking to my press on the power button..
Also I read some where about the hidden yellow super reset button.. it managed to do 3 vibrations but thats it.. still bricked..
Is there anything to do?
I didn't ruin anything physical or flashed something wrong it simply died for no reason.. what the hell happened?
