helo everyone and i say sorry if i post in a wrong place but i do not know what to do, i have a sony ericsson xperia x1 and i left it to charge at my Desktop PC via usb cable, in the morning the cellphone was off and it do not want to turn on, what do u think is the problem, i must say the red light is on behind the on/off button but only when i connect it to usb again! can u help me with some advice what went wrong, what can i do, i must say i do not have a guarantee for it.

this link will give you info from other users experiencing the red light issue,i had this problem too but disconnected the battery a few times, then charged it via the wall for a hour,usb doesnt give you enought power i think.

Sometimes i got the sony logo, then i see the battery icon on screen, but still cant turn in. I have searched on the forums, and maybe its get bricked. I tried to connect the phone to pc, but sony companion and flashtool cant even recognize the device, but my pc see it as unknown device.
What can i do now?

It doesn't go to flashtool mode? If you have drivers properly installed, it should go to flashtool mode. Make sure drivers are ready and then connect USB cable to the phone and not to the PC. Hold down volume down and then connect to the PC. Green light should turn on. It means your phone is in flashtool mode. Flashtool will recognize it. Flash the ftf file. (If it is not happening, remove the back cover press power off button with pen or something until it vibrates three times. That will turn the phone off and then retry)
If you run into any sort of error, fee free to post here!

Drivers arent installed, and i cant install now, because sony companion cant recognize the phone, any other solution to install the right driveres

Download Ubuntu latest version from ubuntu.com and make bootable usb(I use powerISO for making bootable USB). Rest will be simple. Do it. I'll tell you later. You'll have to edit a file and install JAVA and run flashtool. Simple and straight!
Dont make it hard...
Let it recharge for at least 24 hrs (comment from Sony)
After that try again..

Thank you guys for helping, it seems just my charger is broken. I get another from my friend, and after a hour charge my phone started!
It seems everything okay now, i not need to flash or start a recovery, just need an another charger

Actually, I was suggesting Linux because many users run into trouble while installing drivers on windows 8 or later. It was very simple on Ubuntu that's why I was suggesting it. And phone doesn't go to flashtool mode or fastboot mode unless proper drivers are installed.

Your problem has been discussed over and over again, meaning the answer to your question can be found using the search function.
Search for "bootloop".
I have simillar problem. I have CM11 installed for half a year now and everything was great. Yesterday my phone freezed and turn the screen off, after one minute it restared by itself and freezed again. After that it reboot by itself one more time freeze on the desktop and died forever.
hardreset on back side not working (i try to hold it down for 20 sec+ ). When i plug it in charger led turns red (i had it on charger for 8 hours and it is still red light and phone is dead).
PC companion cant connect to phone, flashtool can't connect, ubuntu can't connect. I will now connect it directly to PC and wait for few hours, but i am not sure if this will work. When the phone goes dead it was on charger with around 25% battery. Any idea what else to try?
Try an charger with more Ampere. I solved that problem charging with the ipad charger....
The best i can do is 1 Amp with car charger (from Plantronics, so i believe it is 1 amp). But still nothing after 1 hour
stronger charger i can't find. Any other idea? The phone is still dead. No vibrating, no detecting from PC only red led light when i start charging it. I am sure shutdown didn't happened because battery was empty, before it freezed it had 13% and then it was at 25% when it died (i was on call) that is why i know this.
my z1 has truned off itself and wont turn of again anymore
the phone was on the desk and had about 38% battery when i picked it up to do my stuff i saw that i wont respons to anything
first i tought its a battery drain so i left it in charge and left home after 1 hour i tried to turn it on but nothing happend
instead i saw that the led is in red and blinking while in charge!

and when i connect it to pc the led will come in red for a few secends like 3-4 and pc will try to recognize it but then the led will turn off and come back again and pc wont recognize it at all!
my phone still has the sonys warranty but as long as i live in IRAN it wont help
it hasnt been a mouth since i bought this phone

when i connect the magnatic charging cable the led wont even turn on

can you get the flashtool to recognize the phone?
after my Z1 Died (because i connected to the magnatic charger and that cable was connected to PC,stupid work)
and i opened the back of it and disconnected the battrey from mainboard and connected it again and baaam phone back to life!
but after that i noticed some other problems
first thing i noticed that was the phone couldnt be charged with magnatic cable any more
it only shows the charging icon and battrey wont be charged stay at where it was or drained after some time like it wasnt on charge
then i noticed that if i connect to pc with usb and turn of the display (that wont turn of during the connection) it will hang and nothing happen if i press the power button after i disconnect it so i have to reboot it with VOL+ and Power
and my major problem is this
this crap wont be shut down
like
if i shut it down it will get a reboot with boot loop on sony logo
(after it turned off the sony logo will came on and it will reboot and again sony logo and again and again)
so everynight i have to put it on charge or turn it off with VOL+ and Power AGAIN!!!
i tried flashing the official roms
changing kernels
but only thing i noticed that if i wipe dalvik cache with CWM it can be turned off but only once
the next time
the same old deal
a little help can be extermly helpfull !!
and oh
there is no official sony center where i live so
"Take it to sony support center" is not an option

Whatever is causing this is connected to pc and usb connection

Cause just a few minutes ago i turn it off
And it did really turned off!
No reboot this time
But after i connected it to pc
And tried to turn it off
The boot loop happend again!!
Really really confusing situation here!!

In my opinion in this case (nobody has an answer) I would suggest you to contact with Sony's technical support (via email). They usually have an answer for the most questions

u know 90% the time they say either reset it with PCC or take it to sony center...
Hi wonderful XDA forums, i'm an italian user, then sorry for my bad english.
I'm in a very strange situation, the new year starts strange for me.
Yesterday trying to short circuit the resistor to make the vibration works again( i read on internet and i see that works with other Xperia Z), the phone power down and won't boot anymore.
The strange things appears now, when i plug the usb cable for charge the phone, nothing appear, no LED, but if i disconnect the battery with the USB cable plugged-in the led blink red one time then blink a second time and become blue, and if i press volume down immediately afer the first led red blink, the led become green for 1 sec and the phone go in Download Mode.
When i use original Sony charger same situation, but when i disconnect the battery the led blink red 1 time and stays on and the phone shows SONY logo but immediately reboots go in a bootloop like this, red 1 time and stays on and the phone shows SONY logo but immediately reboots, i noticed that if i press power button several times after the SONY logo i can see the low battery icon but if stop to press the button the screen goes off and restart the bootloop describes upper.
I try several wall charger, and several cables oviusly the original SONY USB cable and wall charger, but nothing change, the battery is new and works because i test it with another phone.
Connecting to PC i can flash rom ftf with FlashTool without errors, but at the end of the process the phone won't boot, and won't charge same problems.
I noticed that the phone can't be recognise if the battery is connected, just when i disconnect the battery the phone go in fastboot mode or in download mode, for example when i flash a new ROM with flashtool when ask to connect the phone i must disconnect the battery and press volume down (in this way the PC recognise the phone, and the phone go in download mode) then i can connect or left disconnect the battery, anyway the flash operation would be OK but nothing change.
Sometimes when i connect the phone to PC the system ask me for QHSUBS_DLOAD drivers and sometimes the phone is recognised with SOMC FLASH....
I know this is a very bad situation, only Xperia Guru's can help me, but probably this phone is dead.
But I trust in XDA Community and i know that is the only place i can get serious and valid reply

I need your help!
My Sony Xperia SP (C5303) wont start. It crashed while I was using it. Display faded and afterwards I am not able to turn it on.
I searched a lot but havent found anything useful to my problem. I found these articles(well more, but those are the most comprehensive ones):

I tried everything what was mentioned in those articles. Nothing helped. Honestly I am a bit rusty with toying with my phone. I have been in to it on collage, but last few years I settled with what I installed back then ( eXistenz Ultra 3.0.0 I guess or similar version)
When I am trying to charge it red light is on. After a while (15 mins or so) red light disappear. When the phone is at least a bit charged and I try to turn it on it flashes red three times (not every time).
When I plug it in the computer while having Flashtool open it goes like this:
22/055/2015 13:55:27 - INFO - Device connected with USB debugging off
22/055/2015 13:55:27 - INFO - For 2011 devices line, be sure you are not in MTP mode
22/055/2015 13:55:28 - INFO - Device disconnected
22/055/2015 13:55:32 - INFO - Selected null

I guess that is all I know now about the problem.

From the above info i can only make out that your device is unable to connect to flashtool. Use USB cable of good quality.
You also try reinstalling flashtool

I installed Flashtool v 0.9.18.5, used three different USB cables (including sony original) still the same log. I do not think problem is in this
Can I offer some more specific information? Honestly I do not how else describe my fatal problem
Seems that your battery is completely discharged or you have drivers problem
Here you are step by step:
1- Connect your phone to wall socket and let it charge for 1 or 2 hours
2- After that force shutdown by pressing back reset button till vibrate three times.. Do not turn on the phone
3- Uninstall flashtool and any xperia flashing tools or drivers
4- Download and install PC companion from here:

5- Open PC Companion program and connect your phone to PC via USB cable while pressing your phone Volume down key
(You should hear windows new hardware plugged sound and your phone led will light with green)
6- follow PCC wizard to repair your phone

Update: I have this problem for 2 weeks ( using another phone meanwhile), now I tried just for sake to charge it again (I tried everything 14 days ago ) after like 30 minutes it actually kinda turned on - it booted into the screen with charging battery. I was like whooah So I tried to turn it on. During loading graphics got messy again and screen blurred off. An everything is as it was. Broken.
Seems to me it somehow restarted over that 14 days (battery drained ?) and thanks to the fact that battery was depleted it kinda turned on. I guess it was a mistake to try turn it on immediately. I should have tried to reinstall the phone in that battery charging screen I guess. ¨So maybe I should just wait few days to let the battery drain again a try this ? Do not know :-/
But again what u have described I tried 14 days ago, did not work sadly.

Why u want to wait? U can simple press and hold the reset button for 8 sec or so till it makes 3 vibrations consecutively. After that charge your phone for 1h and then without booting it flash stock ftf via flashtool
When you unplug the back of the phone you have a yellow power off.
Plug your usb, push the off and power + and release when blue led appeare.
If don't work push long time (1mn) the off and retry

Thanks for response. But I already stated I tried this. Nothing happens. No vibrations, no leds, nothing.
Try to charge him, max 20mn if don't work tell me

eXistenZ uses stock kernel. I think you should try flashing your SP through some other PC.
Either your battery is damaged or USB socket problem
Nope, using another pc did not help. So I am still stuck with bricked phone. I would like to quote the article I linked in the first post because it exactly describes my problem. But in that article wasnt found a helpful solution either.

Since u have not unlocked your bootloader you are still in warranty. Now only service center can repair ur phone. Dont tell them u have installed a custom rom or rooted ur device if u want to claim warranty.
