Unrevoked forever + radio update - Droid Incredible Android Development

Can radios be flashed with UF at anytime now with an update.zip?
Also where is a zip file for the 2.15 radio or is there anyone willing to share? It's not the same as the evo's is it?
Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk

To flash:
1. Place PB31IMG.zip to root of SD card
2. Power down phone
3. Press volume down and power at same time
4. It will ask to update...press volume UP for yes
5. It will ask for reboot...press volume UP for yes
Once done...enjoy.

It already saves it as PB31IMG.zip....so just move it to root and go on with process.

That's for the splash and does not update radio. I've installed that and the update.zip and still have 2.05

He said the thread, not the wiki.

I honestly don't know what I'm doing wrong, i have the pb31img.zip(radio update) on root of sd did the whole power down and power on with volume(down) and when i get to hboot it has
fastboot
recovery
clear storage
simlock
after 2 seconds or so it does this:
sd checking...
loading...pb31diag.zip
no image
loading...pb31diag.nbh
no image or wrong image
loading...pb31img.zip
no image
loading...pb31img.nbh
no image or wrong image
so does anyone know what the problem is?

Make sure the sdcard is formatted as fat32 and that the zip name is exactly "PB32IMG.zip", exact casing and make sure also that its not .zip.zip

OK i just reformatted the sd card to FAT32 and the file i downloaded was PB31IMG, i don't have an extra .zip, that's common mistake for me to do so it was first thing to check. ok so that fixed it. i must not have had it formatted correctly, its whatever it was stock
edit: mrozzeh and the rest of the unrevoked team, i would like to say thank you, and thanks for the personal help too.

Anytime. (10 characters blah)

Hold the optical pad and the power button...not the vol down key and give it a shot

Radio update isn't working for me. Saved PB31IMG.zip to the root of my FAT32formatted SD card, rebooted, it found the PB31IMG.zip file, went though the loading process, got the point where it said "checking" and then went back to the menu without loading the update. I've downloaded the radio update twice with the same results. I currently have the 2.05.00.06.11 radio but have not yet installed s -off. Do I need to do that first?
Any other suggestions?
EDIT: Nevermind, I installed the unrevoked forever s -off patch and the radio update seems to be installing now.
EDIT 2: Radio update updates kernal to .32 correct?

Question for anybody that can answer this can we flash any rom from another phone and it will work with the Incredible after we done this to our phone. Thanks.

okay I am guessing that you said yes to using the stock radio. So this is easy do you still got your original recovery image and your original nandroid? Just go into recovery and nandoid back to stock 1.5 then reboot and download flashrec and rename your original recovery image to recovery-backup and place on your sd card. Install flashrec and either reboot or open it and press restore backup image

[GUIDE] Easiest way to unroot HTC Legend

Hi..
I decided to make an "EASY TO USE" unroot guide for the HTC Legend..
Here goes..
First..
If you want to unroot to software version 1.31
... download this file and put it in the root of your SD-card..
- This version can easily be rooted again..
If you want to unroot to software version 2.03
... download this file and put it in the root of your SD-card..
- This version will need a downgrade in order to root phone again..
When the wanted file is on your SD-card turn OFF your phone..
EDIT: *** NB: Reported in that this might not work if SD-card is partitioned with ext-partition. If not working try to use a fat32-only ***
Turn the phone ON while holding VOLUME DOWN..
The phone will detect the LEGEIMG.zip file on the SD-card and
ask you to upgrade..
Select YES.. And wait...
This should do the trick....
Nice and simple. Good work m8.
Good guide. Straight to the point. Keep up the good work.
Is there any way to. Convert the rom. Zip with the ruu to legeimg. Zip
Sent from my Legend using XDA App
Yep... extract ROM.zip from RUU and rename it to LEGEIMG.zip.
Hello,
I'm not familiar yet with rooting.
When this procedure is done, will I have a working Legend device ?
Which rom will it be running ?
How could I "upload" CyanogenMod to this rooted legend ?
I've search the web, but I do not get everything yet...
Thank you for your hep !
Yannick
Thanks for the guide, but it doesn't work for me.
"No image or wrong name!" message appears.
I've tried your first link and my own rom.zip renamed to LEGEIMG.zip .

Can someone help me with this? I keep getting an error. I can't flash the LEGEIMG.zip by reboot & vol dn+power nor by clockwork. Tried downloading the file twice, tried my extracted rom.zip and it just doesn't work.
What else can I do?
Can you post md5 of this zip?
What I did was put the file in the root of the SD Card...
Switch off the Legend and switch it on while having the Volume down button pressed. It flashes automatically.

One of two problems..
1) You did not put the download in the ROOT of your sd- card or
2) you have renamed the file..
One of these things are causing the error..
Sent from my Legend using XDA App
I'm 100% sure I haven't renamed the file and it's in the root (astro file manager shows it in /mnt/sdcard). If ROOT means sdcard top folder then there it is.
edit: clockwork says "Can't open /sdcard/LEGEIMG.zip (bad)". Hence the request for md5 - but I doubt triple download would cause some inconsistency in file.
I got CID incorect error, what does it mean?

[Q] Dowgrade FRG83d to FRG83

Yes, that's the one I used! And please don't get me wrong but I use this phone for my work and is important that I don't screw the phone. Is there a tested solution to downgrade? So I can follow steps without damaging the phone?
Check it's not a zip within a zip

[RADIO] NS4G Radio image

For those of you that flashed a bad radio to your NS4G, there is a fix!
Many thanks go out to Netarchy for relentlessly trying to fix my radio, and Shabbypenguin for supply Netarchy with his phone images both of them did a lot of work just to get my phone operational again Thank you very much!
Attached is the signed zip for you to flash in recovery. now listen very carefully before you complain that this didn't work for you. It did not work for me either, but it just may work for some people to flash in recovery, that is why i'm supplying a signed zip for you. What I had to do to get this to work is to unzip the file. inside there is a file called "radio.pr.img" boot into your bootloader and use the following fastboot command
Code:
fastboot flash radio radio.pr.img
that worked for me and hopefully it will work for anyone else that flashes a bad image.
Once again thank you to Shabbypenguin and Netarchy, and anyone else that may have helped out.

Thanks in advance
There's threads all over the forum about this, u just have to hit the search button, but for me the easyest way was too boot into bootloader, NOT recovery, and it will instantly recognise the zip folder. Make sure u havnt got any other folders with the same name in your ad card, that u have a decent amont of battery and that u don't remove the battery when flashing as this will brick ur phone! Follow that and ur good to go

when you will copy the zip file to the root of your card and boot into the bootloader it will just ask you to update (yes/no) select yes...wait for the completion and when you are done ...restart!

there is no such thing as a radio s-off. you just need a normal s-off ...
then
copy the PG32IMG.zip file in your sd card's root.
power off your phone. (turn off fastboot from settings>power)
wait about 30 secs. turn on your phone using power+vol down.
you will see a message in your bootloader asking to update (yes/no)
select yes. then wait. after a while it will say to reboot.
restart ...delete the PG32IMG.zip file from your sd card. njoy.
thanks to all !! I upgraded my radio now!! Will my message delay reception issue be fixed by upgrading the radio?

well what i had experienced is that changing the radio solved 90% of my sms delay problems. but when i tried cm7 ...it was close to perfection. (dont know why)
now its ok!! nearly 85% of my msg delay reception solved! Luckily i got fixed the signal problem also! its 100% fine
