hi guys,
as we know, cases for the streak are few and far between right now. the only really decent ones are these: easecase so, i have contacted this seller with a case idea in mind and given the seller the link to this thread. so heres what would help this case idea be made. even if you are a casual troller or a regular poster, please comment in this thread so that the seller can see there is a demand for this type of case that way we get a awesome case and the seller gets a client base without much effort at all. here is the case idea.
a simple but strong leather holster type case with no flap:

im a member of various dell streak forums/sites and your items keep cropping however, there is a distinct lack of cases for the streak and i would like to ask if there is a way you could make a leather holster type case as the ones you offer make the big streak seem even bigger. the type of case i have in mind is something like this:

this would be perfect for the dell streak as it would allow easy access to the device without having it seem like a brick on your waist. from a buisness prospective because of the lack of cases for the streak you could get in before the rush with a case form factor that would be very popular.

i got the same response. that case would be nice. they are basically saying to chose the type of flap/no flap you want. that is a rather nice case the A5 one. i might inquire abit more

agreed. i highly doubt though we will really see a case like that for the streak any time soon..bring on a US release so us brits can get some good stuff
AWESOME! I really like the A5 case, just without the FLAP!

Gotta be honest .....not blowing my skirt up...i got one ( wallet stylee ) for 8 quid delivered off of ebay, its really good, also fits really well with the form fit case on there as well, perfectly in-fact....
I saw the ad for the d3 easecase on ebay but was hesistant because it looked like hard to pull the streak from the pouch. I am currently using krusell for my htc hd and it has got like a hole at the bottom where you can use finger to push it out of the case rather than having to pinch it out of it, esp if the flap is in the way....so easecase, would you do somethin like that?

I would stay away from ROO cases. I had one for my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 white and it left two marks on the back of it, where it seemed to have rubbed the finish off.

I like this guy. Deadmau5 pic and demanding genuine leather! I'm hoping for a case from these guys: http://www.vajacases.com/ - Got one for my PlayBook last year and it's awesome.
Shame they got shipped and delivered to the UK first yet there are very few accessories released here yet. Will be a while until we have a genuine leather case with the 'smart' magnetic bit.
that case has been on sale for years. it's so ugly. Giant leather bondage strap holding down your nexus 7? ugly.
I picked up a leather smart case similar to this one at Big Lots for $8.00. High quality material ! They have lots of 7" case options there for a budget price......scrarch resistant screen protectors , stylus pens , bluetooth speakers etc....

I say patience is a virtue. We all know the tablet for what it is. You either like it or you don't. Most of us have already pre--ordered and are waiting for them to arrive right now.
As far as the caes go, I'd rather feel what they're like in my hand. Via pictures of cases online, 10 look great for ipad and other devices, however only 1-2 actually feel and function as nice as they seem to be described and pictured online.(not cheap feeling, or feeling like they'l literally fall apart, lacking features cleverly not pictured, etc.

For me none of the cover/cases on Amazon (I was at the local Best Buy to take a look at 7" stuff) are aesthetically pleasing. I ordered a "padded pouch" off Etsy.com and I'm gonna get a sturdy "case" when one becomes available.

Wow, those Vaja cases look cool. Way too pricey though.

I, like most of you, am pretty underwhelmed at the quality of cases and covers available for the Nexus 7. Everything I've seen looks extremely bulking and makes the device look terrible. Does anyone know of any case that doesn't make the device look terrible. I just want something that has the smart unlock feature and that can fold to make a stand. The official case from google does none of those and I'm very disappointed in them. Though, I guess it was a lawsuit waiting to happen with Apple I guess

I love the idea, and Isaiah seems like a good guy that I'd like to support. My only worry is wear on the stress points of the material that's being used to cover the panels. Will it split or wear holes through where it flexes or supports weight?

They look good, but they look like $25 cases, but they seem to sell for $60. If this is a lot cheaper, I'd go for it.

This seems to be the one I'm going to get. It's $20 now, but says it is regularly $40. I'd like to see some reviews first but it seems it will work well. I wonder if the price will stay $20 or shoot up?

Normally prices on Amazon do not change after the cover is released. I did notice that the slim fit cover for moko changed by a few dollars after launch but nothing drastic. That could have also been because they did 2 recalls on it It is however a risk you take.
As for me I am waiting for some reviews.

Does anyone know of a high durability otterbox-style case for the Nexus 7? I use my 7 at work and it's only a matter of time before it gets dropped on a concrete floor or flung across the room.

flood the companies with emails, i bet if they see such a high demand for them it be hard to say no. But i bet you may be a while but otterbox will come with a commuter or a defender. Proably will be insanely expensive though for the defender :-/

hi all im in the uk and just want you to know as I have not seen on the forums....
PC world online have the nexus 7 case i have recieved mine today cost was £19.99
first thoughts makes the nexus 7 look really nice and fits perfectly the downsize is the flap doesnt close and does not have the sleep function

isn't asus official case for nexus 7 sucks? it's expensive, it's flappy and does not close properly, it does not have any sleep wake function.. it worth like 5$ max.
I think I'm one of the few that likes the official case, unlike most other cases it doesn't add too much bulk, it's not perfect but I'd hardly say it sucks.
