3200 Quadrant score in RC3?? - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Did anyone has 3200 in their Quadrant with CM RC6??? I saw the screen shot in CM's website...
IF someone has the score, can I have the config??

Why do you need a benchmark to tell you that your phone is fast?

actually I don't need it, but just kinda curious about the magnificent score! XD

it was fake cyanogen said quadrant is easy to hack after he posted that

Ohhhh ok that's why it sounds familiar.

OMFG, ITS OVER 9000!!!!!!!!

From Cyanogen's twitter:
To get that result, I just mounted a tmpfs over Quadrant's data dirs. It's a good benchmark but easy to "cheat" at.

I thought it was true or so...

Yup. You can spoof almost all the benchmark programs.
I used to be all about benchmarks, but it's just a number and doesn't really represent all that is taking place under the hood. Benchmarks are nice, but it's not something you should get too obsessed with.

LOL, who cares who has a higher benchmark. Its not really noticeably fast at all. They both go the same speeds in menus and what not, only if you were playing a 3d game would you really see a difference.

The basic reason that the Galaxy S scores higher in Quadrant is the more advanced SGX graphics processor.

yeah, in the graphic test(2d n 3d) the SGS outnumbered N1 up to 20 FPS??

Thanks for the links. I will have to try some of them out. How badly does performance/battery life suffer with LWP? Not sure if they're just a useless/novelty thing for us poor little underpowered Vogues
The Mario wallpaper isn't great on battery and runs slow if you have "render backgrounds" on... but any performance loss is worth it for how damn cool that wallpaper is.

thanks for these awsome wallpapers man. they work great on my hero. the battery wallpaper is pretty cool with the ecceleromiter. when you move the phone the water splashes everywhere. its kind of like a water bottle with a little water taken out when the battery is not at 100%

i think thats very unnecessary to compare your e-pen++-enlargements isnt it?
benchmark tell nothing, most important thing is that the rom is useable in day to day use hehe

yes of course, i think the same, but it´s just for fun
since there are several benchmark apps in market, people will use it, no matter if their scores represent the daily functionality & speed ...
so, don´t be too hard, i´m not serious with that, just started this thread for fun ...

How Hot is my PI?

I had some webspace and a PI given to me by my University but I don't really have any use for them yet - so I combined them to create...
*dramatic music*
HOW HOT IS MY PI (.COM)
Apparently I can't post outside links yet >->
I was also thinking about creating a site and a small script to instalI on your PI to share it's stats publicly, like data transfer, uptime, CPU usage, temperature etc... but I've not really had time to do that yet.
Anyway, a bit of pointless rubbish to fuel your day

Actually, 40°C is pretty normal idle temperature for a PC's CPU. Well, 'idle' might not be the best word. More like normal "web-browsing". And if you really want to get that down, a better CPU cooler would benefit you a lot more than just adding case fans. Just FYI.

Ah yea I know, I do have a custom cooler, Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme & Arctic Silver 5
That 32c is general use overclocked to 4GHz
Ya mines a laptop. Like I said, it's interesting. General use for me sits about 50, I haven't seen it get past 65-70,even after gaming, although I have only had it a week. I'm gonna get a cooling pad for it. It's an interesting comparison.
And also off topic, apologies.

Tom's Hardware gives a comprehensive review on the Nexus 5

Just thought I would share the link on the review Toms Hardware does on the Nexus 5.
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/google-nexus-5-smartphone,3720.html
It's a decent review until they get to the reviews.
Then they pretend like they know what they're talking about.
They know that the Note 3 'cheats'. But they fail to mention that other OEMs have closed source optimizations, other devices besides the Note 3 also 'cheat'.
Then they get too much into scores treating the phone like a new video card that's released. Good PC Reviewers (Which Tom's is also not but it's adorable that they try) don't always make for good phone reviewers.

Yea, they definitely focus mostly on benchmarks. Which is kinda lame. No one bases their decision to buy a phone on benchmarks.

People that read Tom's Hardware do. They know their audience well. That is why they focus on ridiculous benchmark numbers in all their reviews.

Well, I do take performance in general into consideration, but benchmarks are *so* unreliable that it's hard to base a decision off of them alone.
However, after reading the full review, I do think it was a good review. The Nexus 5 is a game changer and they realize that.

General Antutu results - very low?

So basically I did 2 tests on my phone.
1. With high performance enabled (decreases battery life)
2. With high performance disabled.
Before each test phone was cooled down to room temp.

In both cases the results seem...low considering S888 CPU.
And by default the high performance mode is disabled...cause it eats battery like crazy
What are your results?
@user154 your result is from high performance mode?
I see u have much lower temps than I had...do u use the case included or any other case?
In the meantime could u share the screen from CPU temp/clock monitoring on idle? On the main screen you have this little horizontal button with temps and details...just click.details, go to CPU tab and take a screenshot of all 8 cores charts.
My build is: CPH2173_11_A.16
Lol these scores are so pointless like SOT discussions. You won't notice the difference between two phones with different scores no matter how large the difference.....
Hello, i know that bench doesn't show the real UX but there is a gap between the first post and the standard score of find x3 pro.

A significant difference between your benchmark Antutu and my results. But dont be worried. It's the same phone. take care of the heat.
