Latest Vodaphone UK shipped ROM for HD Mini? - HD Mini ROM Development

I see that Photon hosts some shipped ROMS.
My Girlfriend has just purchased a UK Vodaphone HD Mini and I wonder if there is a new shipped ROM as there are only patches available on the Vodaphone UK site?
The current ROM on her phone is 1.07.401.1 (85429) WWE
ROM date 21st March 2010
Radio: 0.63.05.05
Many thanks
EDIT: Whoops... Sorry! used the search! I'm dyslexic and sometime find it hard to sort through textual information.

Vodafone haven't released their ROM yet (as you have already noticed from their website), they must still be testing/modding it. They are always a bit behind the curve in releasing Vodafone "approved" ROMs.
If you want the newest version ROM on your device you'll need to use SSPL and the 1.36.401.1 ROM posted up on conflipper's site. (Follow the shipped ROMs link from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=701507 )

Not impressed - it seems posting this has possibly drawn attention to the shipped ROMs site and the account has been suspended...
I should have exercised some impatience and downloaded the ROM this morning rather than driving 200 miles home only to find the files no longer available. :O(

The main Shipped ROMs site has been suspended after HTC got heavy with Conflipper, though they have agreed to allow already posted ROMs to remain.
You can find the HD Mini ROMs Here

Ahhh... Many thanks
Downloaded and attempted to upgrade the stock ROM with a stock update...
Invalid Vender ID at 1% falshing then dropped out.
Had a look for a Hard SPL for the Mini and it seems that it's not yet available for this device. (I wish she'd bought an HD2 now... )
So how do I go about updating the stock UK ROM to a newer stock ROM when it's in an *.exe file?
Is there some way to extract the ROM image and hence use DFT_SSPL_MINI.exe to update the ROM?

The stock ROM *.exe file it's a rar archive and contains different files (RUU, nbh, dll, etc). You can try to extract the *.nbh file and run it with mini_spl in the same folder.
BUT, it's just an ideea, maybe i'm wrong, i never tried this way since my phone it's not branded.

I already tried opening the exe with WinRAR (I'm on V3.93) but no option to extract. Any other ideas?

WinRAR or 7Zip should give an 'extract' option, but they don't always.
The only other method is to connect the phone to the PC and run the update EXE file, agree the changes but don't continue to the start of the flash itself.
This process will have extracted the contents of the ROM update to a temporary folder on the PC. It's just a matter of locating it! When you have, you can copy the RUU_signed*.nbh file to the folder with the SSPL_mini file.
Be aware that only the OS ROM will be updated by this method- the Radio ROM cannot yet be updated other than with a full stock ROM flash.

I have a Vodafone Mini like yourself and followed the instructions from the SSPL thread. Worked a treat.

all you clever people out there

chricky i`m lost
i have been reading all that i can on the wiki
but it`s all gone over my head.
can someone please tell me simple steps of what to do.
i want / no sorry need to upgrade my svp m2000 orange upto
a 1.4 rom.
i originally had a 1.4 rom on my blueangel.
but i had a problem with playing video files,
so i took it to someone who knows a bit about these,
he said to downgrade the rom to a 1.3 which he did
but now i dont have my camera or video working even tho it did before he downgraded it.
i have tried to install a 1.4 rom but i keep getting country code error
i have been trying to read about this..but to be honest not sure i know how or what i need to resolve this problem.
there that is my problem..so does anyone know the solution.
1. what software do i need apart from a 1.4 rom
2. which is the best rom to install
3.do i need to do anything else to my blueangle before trying to install the rom...
i hope someone can give me a bit of a clue in easy laymans terms.
many thanks for your attention.

Just do as it's written on this page
READ
First Method (Quick/Easy) (TYPE II)
Download update to desktop
Unrar or unzip all files in exe or rar into a new folder (Yes you can Unzip the .exe file)
Open the folder with the extracted files
Download this file: MaUpgradeUt_noID.ZIP
Extract MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe from this file and place it with the other upgrade files.
Run this new exe file instead of BaUpgradeUt.exe to update your rom
If you get an error the first time, run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe again
And perhaps pick a Rom that comes from your Vendor.
First of all, you have to hard reset your device.
Then, you said that originaly you have the 1.4 ROM version which is the latest and includes radio version 1.12
All you have to do is to up-grade the radio version to 1.13 and do a hard reset again.
You can get the radio 1.13 from the below link.
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_Radio_1.13_Upgrade
I hope this will solve your problem.

Khaled.
@khaledelfeki
he is on a 1.3x Rom with no camera support.
He needs to reflash, and then why not 1.40 with all customizations that fits he operator

Mozzer's Orange UK Backup ROM for Trinity (RUU 1.23.61.5_1.38.00.11_GPS No IPL/SPL)

Hi all,
Moz's RUU_Trinity_Orange_UK_1.23.61.5_1.38.00.11_GSM_NoIPL_NoSPL.exe :-
Links :- MegaUpload | RapidShare | SendSpace
Whilst teaching myself to build/reconstruct/extract Trinity ROM's I have cobbled together the above linked backup of my Orange UK SPV M700 ROM. I have found this very useful to use as a restore image for my device - back to an "official" UK Orange build (or as close as it can be in the absence of an official UK Orange ROM release!)
This RUU was made using a ripped backup of my M700 at v1.23.61.5 and a reconstruction of the Ext_ROM from the same unit. The RUU is only made possible thanks to the tools found here on XDA-Developers. (Many thanks go to AnDim for Ext-ROM Image Editor, Olipro for Custom RUU Updater and Des for SoftSPL.) The included Radio ROM is the GSM enabled v1.38.00.11 (ripped straight from the last official HTC shipped ROM upgrade) and the enclosed Orange splash screens were reconstructed from .bmp's - again pulled from this site (thanks to Sammis!)
There is NO IPL or SPL included in this build so the same IPL/SPL that are currently on your device will be preserved. The CustomRUU will initially load the SoftSPL and may ask you to acknowledge installation of the SSPL modified Bootloader on your device before flashing begins.
The linked .exe is a self-extracting WinRAR archive which will auto-launch the RUU. You simply need to connect your Trinity to the USB and get to the point of a Guest ActiveSync partnership before launching the RUU! If the Tinity disconnects from USB initially within the Bootloader, just re-launch the RUU software again at that point and the ROM will flash correctly from then. I have tested this software many times and it has always worked for me! (No guarrantees given or implied tho!! )
I hope someone finds this useful! Enjoy!!
Kind regards, Moz.
Nice one, you did a more complete job than me .. I only dumped the OS part of the phone
Good work that man.... been hoping for one of these, now can flash my M700 and see what all the fuss is about ;-)
Thanks,
Been waiting for this for warranty purposes

GPS radio Rom!
Anyone tried this yet?
Is it an official UK rom?
Will it fool Orange customer services?
It is THE Orange ROM
He took it from his M700 before applying LVSW (I think he used that one).
Orange aint got a ROM out there for us
As for fooling Orange Custard Services...... that really isnt hard... ask them what day it is and that usually works..........

Hi,
You don't need to register with megaupload to get the file... The whole point of using a free hosting site like that is to avoid having to email such large files all over the place... Besides, I doubt your email provider will allow this size of file as an attachment...
So, I'm afraid the answer is "No" I cannot email this ROM to you.
Either sort yourself out with megaupload or let me know some other free hosting site that you *can* use and I will upload it there for you!

Hi,
Thanks for confirming the validity of my ROM!
I'm pleased that it helped you out.
I'm now working on a cleaned, fast, minimal installed software version of WM5, based on my own sifting of all the best versions of certain useful apps. Until we see the official Dopod version of WM6, I think a slim/sleek version of WM5 is the best possible utilisation of this handset!
Rgds, Moz.
Just a quick word to say I flashed your rom after having tested a few WM6 roms, and it works fine. As far as I can tell, it looks just like the original orange phone. Thanks.

SPB Backup
Great peice of work!!
At last, a fallback in case all that WM6 experimenting goes wrong.
This is what Orange should ahave had out a long time ago.
Anyone out there treid SPB backup to restore a ROM after flashinging it??
I've flashed back this ROM after using Muns WM6 rom and used Sprite Backup to restore to my original point. All seemed to go fine bar a few little tweaks.
Not sure if thats what you meant. I havent used SPB backup before but i'd expect it to be the same.
Nogs
I was just wondering: How would you restore the original ipl/spl?
TRIN100
IPL - 0.50
TRIN100
SPL - 1.07.0000
Is it possible to extract the orange settings from this rom for internet access?

Hi,
The absolute original IPL & SPL are not available because Orange UK have not released any M700 ROM's for us to extract them from.
(IPL & SPL *cannot* be extracted from your device!)
That is why I made sure to release my ROM without *any* IPL or SPL inside - thus leaving intact what you already have.
The majority of ROM's available on here do not necessarily include any IPL or SPL so chances are you still have your originals intact anyway!
If not, your only option is to take one of the official HTC or DOPOD ROM's and extract the IPL & SPL from that, compare and hope that the version is the same as what you had originally, then flash to your device in the usual way.
Whenever I download any ROM, I *always* check to see if it includes any IPL & SPL and remove them (there is little to zero point in upgrading them anyway) and that way I always know that I can go back to the abolute factory default of my own phone by simply reflashing with my own backup ROM (ie. the one I have made available here!!)
Rgds,

Rom Flah Under Vista (X86/X64)

First of all, i hope this is not a double post, since i had trouble myself finding the info in the web concerning this, but i'd like to ask the mods, in case it is double post, just ignore it and delete it.
Now, for those having troube flashing any rom under vista (x86/x64), the answer is fairly easy. just install all the drivers, including HTC USB Sync, and let windows do it all by itself. also, don't forget to install the latest version of WMDC. now, comes the cool part for you to flash any rom to your trinity, just have at hand an official DOPOD/HTC rom (this was tested with RUU_Trinity_DOPODASIA_WWE_3.00.707.18_6275_1.46.30.11_108_Ship), extract that to any folder, until you have the file "RUU_signed.nbh". now, have the rom you want to flash, and just replace the *.nbh file in the official release folder with the one from the folder of the rom you're trying to flash and then just run the update utility. it should work as it did for me.
my theory is that this has something to do with the version of the update utility and how it connects to you Trin
anyway, happy flashing

Best dutch rom

Hey, I got a MDA compact IV branded from tmobile, but its starting to get on my nerves, and I want the original theme, so I figured I've got to put a new ROM on, now what rom is the best for a Dutch tmobile MDA compact Iv?
thanks in advance
i use A.Z.T.O.R. X2 (V11)Ultimate NLD based on latest Official ROM
you can find it here :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=422417
there aren't many dutch roms, but this is probably the best one.
It seems to be nice and clean... Just a heavily tweaked ROM.
But these are Diamond ROM's, are they good for the MDAcompactIV?
Another thing, when the next Dutch ROM update comes from T-Mobile (if it ever comes) will I be able to update?

I also got a MDA Compact IV...since 2 weeks I run the aztor v11 rom, and man what a difference. Much faster.
Just try..
Okay, all good.
But here comes the noob question... I already dl-ed the [rar] file, there's a [exe] file in the as well as a [nbh] file. Are these the only files needed for flashing my rom? How do I do it? Do I run the [exe] file on my PC or my phone?
Tnx in advance...
Ok, I've tried two times to do the update as I just ran the [exe] file on my PC, but I get the [262] update error.
When it updating the bar sticks on 0%, as well on my phone. Luckily after detaching the battery for 3 seconds, my phone just soft resets. What now???
I've done some research but with all the different versions and languages I got really confused. I need another spl to install the [nbh] in order to update the X2 update. But I cant find a way to run the [nbh] file.
I'm also afraid that I'll ruin my MDA. So I searched for a original spl and ROM, but I can't seem to find the right one. I also unable to determine which spl I have on my MDA. It should be a dutch T-Mobile ROM (& spl???). The warranty period isn't over yet so I might need it. (But I hope not of course).
This flashing thing is really confusing...
Same problem
I have exactly the same problem trying to change the ROM from uk vodaphone to Duttys V4. The strange thing for me is that I have 2 Diamonds (his and hers) and the first one went through the process like a dream.
I'd be very grateful to find a fix

First I ran Olinex hard-spl 1.40, after that I rename the .nbh file tot DIAMIMG.NBH, copy that file to your internal storage and than flash from the internal storage. Read this
If above is still abacadabra send me a pm, then I will translate this in dutch.
best rom questions?
to find out whats best for you is to start flashing.
this question is not welcome here on this forum.

Recovering a harrier device

Ok, so I tried installing the WM6 rom on my device without knowing it was in fact a Harrier and not a Blue Angel. I now realize I was very stupid in doing this. Now when it boots I get the stripes on the screen and "No GSM, D 5.60.00 WWE" written in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Does any one have an original Harrier rom they could upload so I can flash it back to the original WM2003?
If no one has that, is there a way to copy the rom from another, identical device?
xplode has a great firmware archive, where you can find about any original shipped rom, for the harrier, you find it here: http://firmware.atspace.com/Harrier.html
Thanks Chef_Tony. Thats got it working again perfectly.
i have the same problem it now says no gsm ....
what software do i need to make it work again ?

Again, find your carrier (I'm assuming that the phone was running the official ROM that it shipped with for your carrier) in that list and download the latest one available. No one can tell you which one to download as no one else but you knows who your carrier is.
The radio version doesn't matter in this situation as the OS is coded to deal with a CDMA radio stack, and most, if not all, official ROM flashers will flash the radio stack with the OS. You are going to have to flash it back to whatever OS and build (usually WM2003 for the Harrier) is provided in the archive. If there are multiple versions of the ROM/radio available, generally the newer ones are the better ones.
You shouldn't need anything special for this as you will be flashing the official ROM for the phone. Download, run the executable and follow the on screen instructions.
ok ive downloaded all from these links and it tells me each flash ..
the rom image is not designed for your device . error code is wrong country code !!
i tried simunlock and now have no gsm showing in boot .
it was on uk orange network the phone is spv m2000
thx
well, your device is a blueangel, this thread is about the harrier. it deals with people trying to recover their CDMA devices after a bad flash, you have a GSM device, a completely different phone, and also, the source of your problem is not the same. thank god, the flash did not work, or your phone would be bricked for good.
you need to do a completely different procedure:
1. you go to xplode's BLUEANGEL firmware archive at http://firmware.atspace.com/Blueangel.html and download any rom in your language / from your country. then you put your device into bootloader mode and flash the device using maupgradeut_noid, found here: http://rapidshare.com/files/322928773/Chef_Tony_RUU.zip
2. then, when you have wm2003 back, please post back for further steps to go.
thank you i will do as you said and report back thx mate , ps are you realy a chef because i am lol i have been a chef around 26 years.
ok downloaded the orange uk but its file is corrupt so executable failed ...
looks like im not going to win ..
tried other orange uk files further down the list but still says country error code.
yes, the country id error is the reason, why you need to extract the 40mb exe file, put maupgrade in there, from the link i provided earlier, another thing to avoid the country id error, is to put the device into bootloader mode before starting the upgrade process, so, before you put the blueangel into the cradle, you press record+power+reset, until the display shows "Serial" and "V2.0x" where x is a number from 5 to 7, then you connect the device and start maupgradeut_noid.exe, which has to be in the same folder as the nk.nbf and all the other needed files. using the maupgrade instead of the BAupgrade and using the bootloader mode avoids nearly all the errors, like country id, device id and so on.
EDIT: btw. i am not a chef, i am a system administrator, the avatar and username are just my regular online name, named after the most ridiculous chef on american tv ^^

Tony is right, your phone would have been bricked.
For future reference, when you post, make sure to list your carrier and the exact model of phone. Anyone in these forums needs this info to attempt to offer the correct information to help.
In my posts, as Tony mentioned, this thread was dealing with Harriers, the CDMA version of the Blue Angel. When you jumped in, I thought that you were talking about a Harrier as well.
Keep in mind that each phone has it's specific ROM designed for that single model of phone alone, they are not interchangeable.
hi
after long time thought i might have another go ...
all the links you have supplied dont work eg: file is corrupt is the message im getting when trying to install software to pc.
i need the factory cd rom for the : orange spv m2000
i have no gsm on the phone since i upgraded the phone to wm6.5
ce os 5.2.21169 (build 21169.5.0.0)
please help
