[Q]Theme Boot Loop Issue. - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm having a strange issue with my N1. If I try to apply a theme to any rom I get a boot loop. I've tried this on CM6 after a complete wipe, I've tried it on Pauls Desire Rom. I've tried it on RoDrIgUeZsTyLe rom. I've tried glass theme, NexTheme 2.2. Every theme I try seems to put me in a boot loop. Anyone have any idea what it could be?
As stated I have tried a complete wipe, fresh install and then the theme and nothing works.

You need to apply a theme ONLY to a specific ROM that this theme is made for.
Unless you do that, you get a boot loop.
So nothing strange here...

Maybe I didn't make that clear. I am using the correct theme for the correct rom. NexTheme 2.2 is for CM3 RC3 which is what I tried to apply it to and got a boot loop. But in the past I have gotten this problem with every rom I installed and tried to apply a theme too..

theme boot loop
I am having the same problem did you ever figure that out?

stuck at g1 screen

hey everyone ok im still new to this whole flashing theme scene, i tried to flash [theme] community hero mix version 3.2 for cyanogen (4.2.11.1) which i have, and now im stuck at the g1 screen, can anyone please help me please please!, already tried the wipe and factory reset and i can still get into recovery mode, anyone please help?
If you have a custom recovery, just enable USB mount and put Cyan 4.2.11.1 on the sd card. Then wipe and flash.
never flash AFTER flashing a rom/theme...always before, never after.
the theme may require the .2005 spl
you will probably have to reflash the htc recovery and then the cyan rom
just as long as my phone isnt bricked X_X

Go back to Cyanogen from xRom

I am currently running xRom Eclair v1.0 and have been having problems with it. I would like to go back to Cyanogen 4.2.13 but every time I try it gets stuck at the G1 logo. I have searched the forum, but not sure if I'm searching for the right thing. I am using RA recovery and wiped everything that is on the wipe screen but no luck. Is there a way to install Cyanogen 4.2.13, if so, how would I go about doing it?
Thanks in advance!

Why does my Rodriguezstyle MIUI keep rebooting after install?

I downloaded and installed Rodriguezstyle MiUi rom yesterday, following all the install procedures(the double wipes and what not). But when I go to use it, it sometimes worked and it sometimes would crash and reboot. It was very weird because instead of just rebooting to the os, it would give the Nexus X then, after going no further, reboot again giving the Nexus X and reboot again and so on. This happened with every MiUi rom I installed, but not with the Evil Desire rom I have now. I really like MiUi, do you guys have any fix?
Specs - Nexus One w/ 5.12 Korean Radio
Trying Rods 1.6.6
Have you overclocked it with setcpu? You might want to turn that off and see what happens. I assume you did a complete wipe first btw?
I did wipe and my rom crashes before I can install setcpu
MIUI 0.11.5 + English Pack
I am using MIUI 0.11.5 Deodexed + English Pack. No issues so far. Its perfect.
Why are you making multiple useless threads about this?
@ inferus

I tried all three of those and on every one my phone gets stuck in the boot loop. I have tried everything, factory wiping, cache wiping, dalvik wiping, battery wiping, and clear storage. is there any way I can completely delete the operating system off my phone so I can freshly install the new rom of MiUi. This is bootloop also happens to me when I flash micromod and cyanogen. THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING! does anyone have the same problem too
this static X bootloop also happened a lot on KoR. its based on CM6.0 but maybe this solution will also fix your problem:

@pseudoheld
You are the freaken man, however, is this a permanent fix or only temporary?
I spoke too soon, when I do HBoot in the boot loader, sometimes it skips going to the recovery and goes into the boot loop. Is there any way to update the bootloader

I was not referring to the other links on that post. I installed the stock hosted directly on that post. Also provided a link below for your convenience

And the English pack.

[Q] Applying a theme

Hey guys,
I've already tried twice to install a theme on my I9000, but it doesn't seem to work. after installing it using recovery the phone won't load (it just got stuck in the I9000 screen). The only way out was to reinstall the rom (Darky's v8.0 slim).
Does any of you has any idea what did I do wrong?
Here's the post of the theme I tried to install http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=898892
Hve you tried to clear dalvik cache in cwm and flash the theme again? Works for me.

How did you try to install it? I've used Darky's ROMs since v6 and have always flashed themes over it without any problems.
