My 2400mah Extended Battery Review - HD2 Accessories

I didn't buy the HTC extended battery but one from amazon sold by Karen Deals. Link is below
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0..._m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0NVM3EA1B2VE9HN3AKMA
Shipping was lightning fast. Seller had it in the mail in 12 hours! Bought it on Wed and got it on Sat. Pretty good for being sent from across the continent (cali to minn).
Model No: cs-ht8585xl
Part No: 35h000128-00m, ba s400
Rating: 3.7v 2400mah
Lithium Ion
Battery
The new battery has the same width and length as the stock but the height has been doubled.
Case
Looks like it's made from ABS plastic with exterior (outside of phone direction) being coated with a 'soft plastic' layer. Feels cheap but doesn't seem like it will break.
The extended battery cover made by HTC looks much better than this one since the other one has a lot more curves. I don't like the fact that it just dips down at the top and bottom. It makes the cover seem like it didn't come with the phone unlike the HTC extended battery cover which curves and has a battery stand.

Would you reccomend this battery? What is your average battery life now? Minimal use, medium, or heavy usage?
Thanks in advance

Highly recommended. I had my phone turned on at 10am and ran it until 10pm and it's got 40% left after heavy/moderate use.

OEM Extended Battery for the Vogue

I found this extended battery for the vogue. Any of you use this? If so how does it compare to the original standard battery?
that battery just showed up on the "battery scene"... it should provide more capacity based on mAh. i'm using Seidio's 2000 mAH battery it provides enough power to get me 1.5 days with normal usage.
Yeah I have that battery and anything is better than the one that comes with it. It lasts a lot longer as you would probably expect from a bigger battery. If you do get that battery it won't fit in your case anymore and the best case I found that fits it perfect by the way is this one http://swissmobility.swissmobilitystore.com/store/product/swissmobility_commander. It fits it perfect after a day of breaking it in. It is also cheaper here at this site http://www.buywirelessnow.com/smartwireless/buy/accessories/cat/615/accessory/298685 which includes the cover and free shipping.

Mind sharing pictures of what it looks like installed? Also do you know if any of the existing extended batteries would fit using the OEM extended battery door?
thanks,
-CC
Here are a few pictures. As far as other batteries fitting inside like the 2000 from seidio it probably will because they claim it will still fit in the original holster with the back you can get with it and with this HTC back it won't fit inside the original holster. This is all an assumption.
thanks for the pictures... if you have it, i'd like to see a side-shot of the phone with battery cover (similar to 3rd from left but with cover) and a bottom-shot of the phone with battery cover (looking from bottom). having an OEM cover vs. the tight Seidio cover is something i'm thinking about (not to mention having another backup battery). thx
Yo, here are the pictures you requested.

Guess I can't get the 2000mah battery then
What else you guys recommend ?
I've been thinking of getting the Treo 700wx
This is the 1500mah battery which fits with the original cover..
http://www.seidioonline.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=879
too expensive though, there's tons of them on ebay cheaper
Will a Extended Battery Door for a Capacity 1900 mAh battery fit a 2000mah battery?
i have the extented door for the OEM 1900 mAh battery and it easily accomodates seidio's 2000 mAh battery. in fact, the 1900 mAh battery is taller than seidio's 2000 mAh battery.
Thanks for the reply. I'm looking forward to the purchasing the door and the extended battery.
how much room is left in between the battery and the cover would you say? I want to put an led in the case for a non-flash/light. the mugen-power full case looks like it would work, but I don't want to spend $75 on a 3 year old phones battery.

HTC Touch battery on deal extreme

can the one they are selling on dealextreme be used for our p6900's? i know that one is for p3450 or something.. but will the back cover fit? someone wrote there that the battery does work on our phones but the cover doesnt fit properly and he had to cut it to fit? anyone else on this board has tried this option yet or is everyone spending over $50 for battery?
I looked at the one on dealextreme along with about 20 other web sites. I finally decided on a 2400 mAh battery by mugen power. I paid 69 US for it and shipping was free at nakedcellphone.net
When it finally arrived I was absolutely impressed for the following reasons:
the capacity of the battery is more than twice as long as the OEM bat;
the back cover is thicker than the oem cover but does not have the hump;
although thicker, it actually fits in my hand more comfortably. I like the way the phone feels much better;
the chrome ring around the camera lens looks identical to the original, and as one would expect the diameter at the outside is larger to avoid an optic tunnel;
color matching is identical to the Sprint Vogue.
This phone rocks!
yea the only problem i had with the dealextreme one was the back cover.. the battery is amazing.. lasts me forever.. but the back cover is quite ugly and doesn't fit the vogue properly.. it leaves a lil gap at the bottom.. i think its designed for the GSM version .. but the battery itself is amazing.. just incase u wanna buy it just for the battery...

I looked at naked cellphone on ebay and was interested in the cradle they offer and possibly 2 extended batteries (i'd put the OEM away for a last ditch backup) but does the extended batter fit in a cradle properly with the larger battery installed? Any success here?
Thanks

MNN -
Sorry for the delayed response. No, the extended battery will not fit into the majority of cradles out there. But when I googled close to 50 different web sites selling accessories for the vogue, I stumbled across 1 or 2 who were advertising that they had cradles that would fit the thicker phones with ext bats. Sorry I don't have a site to give you but you should be able to find it if you haven't already.
Update to the Mugen Power 2400 extended battery:
It has awesome battery life, like a week or more on standby. I can get hours and hours of of GPS, phone use, mp3, web, etc. at least 8 hours or more. I love the phone.

Does the battery work well now?
Does anyone know dinodirect.com?
This site is also selling HTC replacement batteries. To guarantee your phone life span, I would recommend you to use original battery.
SKU: A0324000KD
This replacement can be applied to 6900.
I ordered HTC Touch battery from dealextreme, but i never received my order so far.. So i reordered it from Chinabuye, an online store from China. I received ontime with free ship cost. Through paypal, payment i made easily and find its safe with them. When it comes to quality, its good one and brand sytlish. Rates are quite cheaper and has discount features.
Chinabuye !
I think it will better to use online Shop from China Chinabuye rather than dealextreme !
Chinabuye has more payment options and free shipping option ! which make buyer attractive to buy ! and also it has great quality products !
The battery and cover I just purchased today are these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/BLACK-BACK-DOOR...662959?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item45ebf8516f
Looks like a really good price on the battery and I'm crossing my fingers that they cover will fit - looks like it should.
Good luck on finding the battery. These Vogues are all coming up on end of life for the batteries it seems as they can only be charged so many times.

HD2 Extended Battery (Chinese version)

Anyone bought it?
http://cgi.ebay.com/2400mAh-Extende..._Accessories&hash=item5ad84bc6c0#ht_500wt_750
I'm curious about how it will fit and if its secure.
I have this battery, and i found the fitting it not that good. I had to trim down some edges from the plastic cover to fit properly. Also the battery lifetime doesn't impress me much, so it's my backup battery now and the original will be my primal.
so is it a no buy? does it last???
man... I really wanted a long lasting battery
at last a 1 day without charge
I really use the phone a lot...
video, excel, internet, gps, games...
HD2 is a powerhouse and don't let me down (rick roll xD)
the only cons is the battery life.
=================
"lifetime doesn't impress me much"
it's really that bad? What do you think its the REAL capacity?
it's printed 2400mh...
You think it last 30% more than a original battery?
I was expecting to last 50% more at least...
I really doubt it is even 30%, i haven´t tested it thoroughly but i found that i was at the same percentage at the end of the day with the fat battery as with the orignal one. So i just have this fat battery with me in case of an ermergency or so. My original battery now last 3 days for me so i can deal with that, i don´t use it that often.
I would not buy it for a second time, even tho it is really cheap.
So why will they sell this huge brick and it is no better than the flat original battery? hmmmm... :-?
To make money, and it works
You can buy two spare standard batteries and charger for around $12US on ebay, and I find it quite easy to just have a charged spare in my pocket for when I am out and about, and one still on charge ready for when I get home in case I need it.
For me it has been an improvement. I have more protected the camra and now the life expectancy is slightly higher than 40%
size of ext.battery
Could anybody post a photo of HD2+ext.bat or write in mm width of exserted battery.
if you are honestly going the route of the ugly ugly extended battery back cover and all.. why not just get an official htc.. so quality wouldn't be an issue????
Because the HTC one still isn't available.

[OFFICIAL] Mugen Power 6400mah Battery Review

http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...-samsung-galaxy-note-2-with-battery-door.html
Packaging:
The Mugen Power 6400mah Extended Battery for the Samsung Galaxy Note II comes in a very simple yet elegant packaging encasing the extended battery, custom battery door with stand, and also a leather pouch.
Looks:
Taken out of the packaging, the initial thought that jumps to mind is THICK. Yes, the 6400mah rated at more than double the battery life of the OEM battery is also double the thickness of the OEM battery. However, this was expected as doubling anything always come with a price. Minor print on the battery introduces its specifications (3.8V / 6400mah) along with several caution warnings.
The extended battery back comes with a surprise as well. The NFC chip is built into the extended backplate. Thus, consumers would not have to make do with no NFC if they opt for the Mugen Power Extended Battery. Best of both worlds, who doesn’t want that? Also, the backcover has a very detailed diamond shaped pattern that provides a textured feel to improve grip. The flash and camera cutouts are perfectly aligned and cut along with the SPEN cutout as well. The kickstand on this unit is much better than any of the previously reviewed batteries for other phones. Mugen Power seemed to have finally fixed their flimsy stand issue as the current stand provides support and rigidity when opened, and sits tight and flush with the back when closed.
The leather pouch included is BIG, big to a point that I have not found an excuse to transfer from my current slim case to this pouch. However, for those leather lovers out there, this may hit the sweet spot for you. Who thought you’d be getting a pouch when all you care for is the battery? Just to make one thing clear, the pouch DOES NOT seem to be made for the extended battery cover, as the phone sits REALLY tight in there, which does not seem right. However, with OEM battery, the phone fits in the pouch just fine.
Performance:
This battery is AMAZING. The Note 2 itself already has one of the most excellent battery life in the android crowd, but this battery takes it another step further. With the original 3100mah battery, I am able to make it just past 2 days of moderate usage with an average of 5 hours screen on. This usage includes surfing, slight 1 hour gaming, videos, lots and lots and lots of chatting and texting, and 30 minutes of calling.
With the Mugen Battery, regular usage lasted me over 4 DAYS with similar usage stated above. This makes true Mugen’s claim of doubling the battery life, and really comes in handy if you are going on a long trip where a wall plug becomes a luxury.
I also wanted to see how the battery would do if I stressed on gaming and video watching. In this area, I was even more surprised. The screen shots attached show clearly how I tested the battery. In one day, of over 11 hours screen on, around 4 of them was due to very intense high graphics ONLINE gaming, which is a BIG battery sucker. Additionally, web surfing and video watching along with tapatalk are amongst the remaining few hours of usage. (BRIGHTNESS ALWAYS AT 50%) No matter what you say about this battery, for gamers, this is a MUST. I used to have to change/charge my battery more 5 times (not 0-100 charges) throughout the day if I game this much. With mugen, that worry is gone, as I am 100% certain that no matter what I do with my phone. It would last me through the day, EASY.
Nothing in the world is made perfect, and so isn’t the Mugen Power Extended Battery. Though the cover fits the phone perfectly with the extended battery inside, there is a slight hollowness within the phone that allows the battery to shift around inside. Its not to a level such that the battery would loose its connection, but it just feels hollow and when you feel the battery move inside, it just annoys you. An easy fix was applied by adding a business card on top of the battery then closing the phone.
SO, it you are planning on a long trip, or if you are a avid gamer/ user, and is not satisfied with your battery life, Mugen Power's 6400mah battery for your galaxy note 2 really is the way to go as they produce one of the best quality batteries on the market with proper customer support. One downside however, is that you have to overcome that steep price and also a slight downgrade in looks of your phone.
OH, and IT STILL DOES FIT INSIDE YOUR POCKET JUST FINE…

excellent review, I'm fairly sure I'll pick one up before i go to europe in a couple months. For now though on a regular day to day basis I use about 45-55% of my battery in a full day (6am-10pm). Probably 25% of the battery is from work and the other 25% is at home.
i just got one and....
It's a real pain in the ass.
Charged it for 12 hrs.
Started with battery drain apps, but don't feel like stressing all the components that much.
So I'm using it my normal heavy amount, which makes me always keep my mind on the battery.
Well it just Won't discharge! !!!!
At this rate it'll take me more that a week to train the battery with 5 cycles.
No Way drain in a day. No matter what I do.
How annoying.
Nice review. I still could never pay that much. I just got the hyperion 6300 and tpu case for under $30. I am very impressed with its quality. So far people are having almost the exact same results with the anker and hyperion as the op.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
Thanks.
If I get a gnote2 I will probably pick this up as well.
Though I kinda hope for the gnote3 to have a native 6000mah battery (with aftermarket upgrades going to 10k+).
Nice review, I'm thinking of buying one of these, but I can't say that I like the bulkiness. My Note 2 is sexy as it is with my UAG cover, oh well, I'll sleep on it.
thickness?
Not to knock down the product, as you guys know I do reviews of numerous accessories in this forum and try to stay fare to product value (I will tell you if its a premium product and extra price gets you extra quality, etc.). But when you look at Mugen 6400 mAh for $105 and Anker 6200 mAh for $17 how do you justify price difference? Both are trusted companies in my book. Yes, Mugen battery cover is premium with kickstand and built-in NFC (although even video reviewer had some issues?). But what else?!? That is a HUGE price difference. Any idea? I have tested Innocell 4500 mAh which I found to have a higher capacity, closer to 500 mAh, and I couldn't justify its price either. The only advantage in there was ACTIVE Extended rugged case to use with typical double thickness extended batteries.

I suppose because Mugen can be trusted (so many of the extended batteries are china fakes...) and provide warrantly.

[Video, Text and Picture] Review of the Powerbear 6500mAh Extended Battery for the G4

I've written a more general audience review of this battery for my Amazon review, if you want to read that text, it's in the YouTube video description. For now though, here's one for here.
Powerbear appear to be the first to actually launch an extended battery for the G4 on Amazon.ca. At least at the time of writing, the only other relevant thing I could find on there was the Hyperion extended case... just the case, no battery. Anyway, the Powerbear model was only $35, and I was missing my Anker extended battery for my Galaxy S3, so I bought it.
The battery seems well made enough... certainly doesn't strike me as dangerous or going to fail soon... we'll have to see how long it actually lasts. The backing plate has a nice texture on it, but I put the phone straight into the extended case, which was included. The hexagonal pattern is attractive and the case is that nice smooth matt plastic for the most part, that you can still grip but also get in and out of your pocket easily enough.
Battery life has gone from poor (like 6hrs on the stock battery, if that) to spectacular... over 24 hours seems easily reachable without changing any habits. A subjective test over 12 hours of medium (or slightly under medium) use today has seen only a 40% drop in battery life. Yesterday, straight out of the box, it took almost 17hrs to go from 62% to 4% (all of this according to the LG G4's battery stats, on MM, completely stock and unrooted).
Overall I'm happy with it. Price seems very fair for what you get. I like the case and back plate and I can go back to not thinking about battery life.

Thanks for this. Looks nice.
I've got two Extended Batteries 1 6000mah and 1 7700mah. Now they might make the phone a little thick but not that thick (Just look at my thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/accessories/2-extended-batteries-test-t3320662) I'm testing the 7700mah one with standard usage and we'll Edit my Thread once done
Is the case the 'sticky' TPU that gets stuck in your pockets/turns pockets inside out and attracts lint (like Trident cases) or a smoother TPU that does not mess with your pockets.

I'll test out my case in a moment
Edit: Ok my case didn't have anything on it
Now y'all do know the charger that comes with the phone can't charge these Extended Batteries?! You need a Charger like this to charge the Batteries http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010P2BPT2?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00
Once mine needs a charge that's what i charge it with because if you charge with a charger then the battery isn't fully charge (Even though it says so) but it'll discharge fast you'll see
I got the powerbear a week ago and the battery life is amazing. I don't know what that post is about the chargers. Mine charges fine.
