Trouble with Superuser app - Wildfire Android Development

Hi
I have problems with the superuser app in UnrEVOked3. It seems it cannot "remember" the Allow action in apps. When I try to backup either with mybackup pro or Titanium backup, it asks about permission 3-10 times pr. app it is trying to back up.
This makes it impossible to do backup of my apps.
Anyone else experience this or is it something wrong in my phone?

Can you tell me how i back up all my apps etc at once?

This happened to me at first but I reinstalled superuser and all was fine.
Hope that helps.

Tried that. Didn't help. This is really annoying!

Im also getting this problem now lol

Make sure to remove any Superuser.apk in both the data and system partition. Then install it again from recovery. That worked for me.

I was having same problem.
I just made 2 files just flash them through recovery and averything will be ok.
But be careful first 1removesu.zip and then 2susigned.zip
Have fun!

Why do you remove StockWidget in the first zip (1removesu.zip)? Is this really necessary?
From the update-script:
Code:
show_progress 0.1 0
delete SYSTEM:app/Superuser.apk
delete SYSTEM:app/Stock.apk
delete SYSTEM:app/com.htc.StockWidget.apk
show_progress 0.1 10

take a non-multi-touch keyboard and press one key then try to press another key. It will only pick up on the first key that you press.
You can type with 2 fingers but it's like you have to use one finger at a time fairly slow.

Will this work with the vibrant? Running a custom rom?

I originally installed the .apk of this keyboard and got FC's. I cleared the entire devlik cache and installed this .zip via clockwork and I'm still getting FC's. Any ideas?
Alright I figured it out. FOR THOSE OF YOU HAVING A FORCE CLOSE WITH "LATIN" IN THE NAME, these are the steps that I took (if you've already flashed via clockwork):
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE DONE TO YOUR PHONE, this is just how I fixed this issue.
1.) Go into system/app and DELETE your DXkeyboard.apk
2.) Go into data/devlik cache and delete the line that has "DX.." in the name (i forgot what its called)
the above two steps thus far are what I DID, they may not be necessary.
3.) unzip the dxkbd file that was in the OP on your desktop
4.) go into "system" and you'll see "app" and "library"
5.) copy the .apk file and .so file from "app" and "library" respectively and put them on your sdcard
6.) using root explorer, move the .so file to system / lib
7.) using root explorer, move the .apk file to system / app
8.) DELETE "latinIME" apk and odex
9.) DELETE latintutorial (or something like that, its right under latinIME odex i believe)
10.) reboot
With the exception of deleting things, thats precisely what the package in the op does.

[HOW-TO] Uninstall GladiAtrix or Adeo (For 4.1.57 update)

How to uninstall GladiAtrix or Adeo in preparation for the 4.1.57 update, since users are having issues with it. This will NOT uninstall any webtop mods, only GladiAtrix and Adeo. This will leave sideloading and tethering APN's if you have any installed.
Instructions:
Download the uninstaller
Exctract the files to a folder with NO SPACES in the filepath
Connect your phone for USB Debugging
Run the uninstaller
????
Profit
DISCLAIMER: I haven't tested this but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work, assuming you have the system backup in /sdcard. If you have any issues let me know.
THIS DOES NOT UNINSTALL GINGERBLUR. I don't have that script, and I don't know how it's doing backups if it is at all.

Trying to get rid of GladiAtrix (installed over Adeo) to do the OTA update but dont seem to have "system backup" anywhere. What do you use to create it and how? Titanium backup is what i use but it backs up into different subfolders.
Uninstaller complains as well. (see pic).
Also, i suppose the uninstall is necessary since the rom deodex'es the atrix, right?

If the script was run on a stock system, the backups are the same. This will check for and restore either backup. It doesn't matter which script you used past that. GladiAtrix IS Adeo.
no changes
ran the script. rooted with aroot and running Adeo v0.1
successful script..ran and rebooted but odex files not pushed and reboot in power options still there. so this just didnt work?

Phone shuts down immediately when I use Root Explorer

I got a weird situation. My phone just shuts down when I use Root Explorer, randomly. It has happened while I made a zip of a system file, mounted R/W, deleting a system file. It appears to be completely random. Tried clearing root permissions for it and reaenabled it but it still happens. A reinstall of Root Explorer didn't help either. Any idea what's the problem?
On KA03 ROM, locked bootloader and rooted.

you probably have not stopped ric, on these devices there is a service called ric which resets the device when system is mounted r/w

That happened to me a few days back, its shows as if you have root but in reality you don't. I tried re-rooting but it would no let me do it again because the superuser.apk already existed. I deleted it and lost root completely but still it would not let me re-root. In the end I just flashed a different rom again as the one one I had flashed was pre-rooted.
So my advice would be to flash and unrooted ROM and then root instead of a pre-rooted ROM (maybe this wasn't your case but it is very similar to what happened to me!!)

lilstevie pointed you in the right direction, superSU causes these. Superuser or the new, Koush's Superuser app don't do this.

[LOGCAT] Can't set any secure screen lock

I was using a ROM with Android 8.1 but after returning to the NovaOS (Nougat) ROM whenever I try to add any secure lock screen method (PIN / Pattern / Pass) the settings application force closure. After trying to set Pattern method the settings app just force close, but after trying to set PIN/Pass method it actually set the pin but also force close and I cannot try again to set others methods because it ask for the pin and keeps closing.
This happens in any TW or Stock based ROM. But in AOSP/LineageOS ROMs works normally.
Things I already have tried:
* Full wipe
* Reinstall at least 5 different ROMs
* Installing ROMs with and without root/gapps
* Format /system and /data
* Encrypt and decrypt phone/Microsd card.
* Changing Kernel
* "Fix contexts" in TWRP
* Smash the phone to a wall
I do not know what I can do to solve this problem, I don't want to use my phone without a secure lock/fingerprint or use Oreo ROMs, can someone help me?
Maybe try flash stock firmware using odin first and then try other roms.
Even after flashing Stock Rom through Odin the problem persists, omg...
Tried flashing Stock and doing full wipe after too but no sucess...
I think some protected/secure partition are messed up, because I noticed now my wifi password are not being saved after a reboot too, and after I flashed Stock Rom via Odin and phone reboots to Stock Recovery to finish the process, at this point I get a error in recovery like "cannot find /misc partition", I dont know if this is normal or not.
Here is more detailed logs from adb logcat, honestly I'm starting to get afraid of this not being possible to solve, please guys, I need help, there so much experts and experienced people here, you are my last hope

I have the same problem and I have not been able to give the permissions to the efs folder, I'm using root eplorer and giving rw permissions.
The efs folder handles these 0771 permissions and I try to change it to 0775 but when restarting the phone the changes are not applied.

OBB folder locked.

It seems my android\OBB folder is write protected. I can't install certain apps that need to write to this folder. I can't seem to unlock it and have been trawling Google for solutions.
I can delete the folder, then create a new OBB folder, but I still can't copy a folder into it. I'm using a rooted EU rom if this helps. Thanks
It is rooted device with EU rom on it
Can someone check on their phone if they can copy a file or folder into the obb folder? I'm getting very desperate for a fix

I have faced this exact problem a few weeks ago. It started after I flashed a ROM, MiRum if I'm not mistaken. Tried deleting it via TWRP and make a new folder, changing the folder permission, no luck. I don't know how exactly I got my issue resolved, but I think wiping your data (storage) will do. Just backup your data, wipe your device clean, reflash your ROM, restore everything, and you'll be good to go...I guess.
I'm sorry if I can't be of more help to you in this regard.
