HOW TO INSTAL THIS ANDROID ON TD2 ! the steps:
1.Download and unzip archive from first post "[27.09.2010]Package Android 2.1 with hw3D and sound" in root of your SDcard
2.Download my last system image from first post too "[20.11.2010]NEW system image" and unzip in root of your SDcard and replace on the old system.ext2
3.Delete from sd card 2 files ''zImage'' and "modules-xx.xx.xx" and download lastest kernel and modules from this and extract downloaded archive in the root of your SDcard and rename "zImage-xxxxxxxx" on "zImage"
4. Download it and unzip in root of you SDcard and replace on old rootfs.img
5.Run the "HARET.exe" in your topaz and wait whan loading is done
6.Configure and use it...

i read through it trying to find the answer, they are basicaly saying that when he runs the program that it constantly reboots, and they asked him if he has a monodie or dualdie device, but im trying to figure out why my phone reboots when the hero bootscreen splash displays?
edit: i tried both monodie and dualdie zimages and it still occurs

I downloaded and unzip folder to SD card which is fat32 formatted.
runnign heret.exe give booting linux and then linux symbol and flyign white text on black background anad it is stuck their. I tried few times never got pass that window what could be wrong?

the zimage being used in this package is for monodie devices, try switching it to the other zimage and try it again

i dont have android applications and im also missing system.ext2
but i think its the system.sqsh, i downloaded the XDANDROID.2.2.AOSP.29.7.10.RC2.1 from the first thread, sorry if its only me

How to install:
Unpack 7z file (winrar could help, 7z is best)
You will get RELEASE folder with 6 folders in, it's ramdisk sizes! Go into folder with ramdisk you need, then click upgrade.

I also include newest aerokitchen with preconfigured 25006 (used to build this rom)

Kitchen tutorial:
To build a single rom with ramdisk 0, open Start Automatic.bat file, and you don't have to do anything until upgrade screen will open! could take 7 minutes to build.
To build all ramdisks, click Start All Ramdisks.bat file, and better go do something, RELEASE folder will update to newest files you had built. It could take 30 or more minutes to build.

There is many nk.nba and nb.nbf files which are almost the same, just ramdisk settings will differ, but winrar can't see no difference and compress all files as normal, 7zip can see it and compress one file, then add differences only 7z is a god! Of course compression level was set to ultra

I think that was not a god idea to port 25006, maybe we should port something newer?

Oh one request if you don't mind, can we have the background colour merges with the button colours (Windows, Contacts, Set) at the task bar? I don't really like oval buttons standing out of the background. I am not even sure if I am making sense here? .

I can confirm about the contacts not being able to add however strange thing I have noticed is that all my contacts were shown as duplicated until I rebooted the device again.
Not sure if that is what happend to anyone else as well?
Other than that I can see that the ROM is quite fast. I think I'll wait for the contacts to be fixed before trying another go.

Ye i can say its the fastest wm6.5 rom i have ever used. And i must of tryed about 10.

to be honest the only thing stopping me to try this ROM now is the contacts list. I am heavily dependent on contact list since I hardly can remember anyone's number, so I can't really test it unless that is being fixed.

Extract the 3 following files from the downloaded files into the main directory of your SD card

Finally, unzip the "zImage" and "modules.xxxxx" files you downloaded also in your main android directory, (replacing zImage when asked, and deleting your previous module.xxxxx file)
Then, download the 2 APK file's, "fps2d" and "com.adobe.air.xx" file, and try installing them within Android (double click on the file's within Android), run fps2 3 time's to get a good average.)

It appears that this isn't compatible with the phone (AT&T Pure) it hangs whatever application tries to use the 3d driver.
edit- nevermind, seems to be functional, speed increase isn't really that noticeable though.
edit2- problem is file was named .so.so in original zip, mount path only includes .so

ok figured it out myself! downloaded the .so placed it in the root folder of the SD and put in andboot/conf/eclair.user.conf the mount string bit... got 18.2 FPS
Next question is will this drain the battery faster?

I have put the .so on SDCARD, the andriod didn't work at all, and I have put the .so in folder andboot, the andriod can start but slowly. and I didn't know the 3D driver had been instilled correct or not. where can I find this information?

3d driver for testing with gralloc. UPDATED 11.29.10
1.open up the froyo.user.conf
2.make sure this line is at the bottom
mount --bind /sdcard/andboot/libGLES_qcom.so /system/lib/egl/libGLES_qcom.so
3.dump it replace the file in the andboot/conf
4.then place ur libGLES_qcom.so under ur andboot folder
all above is base on the following folder structure
-sdcard
-andboot
-AndroidApps
-conf
-media
-STARTUP CONFIG
If u want to store more than one android build in ur SD card u just have to make folders and put the build in there.example:
u want the gingerbread 2.3.1 bulld and the FRX04 build in your sd card
make a folder in ur SD named BUILDS(or anything that u want)
in this make a folder named ginger(for tha 2.3.1 build) and one frx04(for tha xdadroid frx04)
then edit the startup.txt from each built.add "rel_path=BUILDS/ginger"to the gingerbread build and "rel_path=BUILDS/frx04" for the frx04
"rel_path=xxx" this command changes the boot folder

As far as I know, it needs editing of at least the init file at root.
Maybe an experienced user can confirm that.
I have had success at booting multiple ext2 installs, but it is very buggy for me.

Today I found a combination (which might have been out there for a while) how the Camera actually is working for Topaz Android
1. Download the FRX04 version
2. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=883966 check there for section "Topaz Users"
3. Don't forget the post "[23/01/2011] :" to dissable 2 rows in froyo.conf file
The Camera was able to startup and I took one Picture
The speed of the Cam.. well.. don't be to happy.. but it is working anyway

Yeah,works fine, but only 3 MP and without auto-focus,but it works more quick than im windows mobile.
Oh,but programm(name forgotten) in FRX04 for Rhodium(23.01.11) is more usable,you can make photo by pressing on volume keys
yes indeed WinMo is quicker.. but one step at the time This is the first time I ever on my Topaz and Android was able to even see that it was "connected" and that I could take a picture.
The next development will be that the rest of the goodies will appear such as speed and autofocus etc etc..

yes with provided topaz test kernel it's working till 3mp pictures
@5mp camera crashed... but this is allready known and developer asked for dmesg log files to finetune the driver...

Updated Lib_package to fix the froyo.user.conf file (thanks to arrrghhh again, you're the "conf file" specialist) and the Blackstone picture crash (I hope...). If you are using latest FRX04 build and rootfs, you may have to disable the two following lines (add a "#" at the begginnning of the line) :

There is a new fix for 5MP. It works. You need the Kernel from 28.01.11 and the new attached Haret Version. Do not use the attached kernels and don't forget to write the line:
set INITRD_OFFSET 0x608000
under "set initrd initrd.gz" (Startup.txt)

The kitchen is prepared in 9 languages:
0C0A = Spanish rom
040C = French rom
0406 = Danish rom
0407 = German rom
0408 = Greek rom
0409 = WWE rom
0410 = Italian rom
0413 = Dutch rom
0419 = Russian rom
How to cook a ROM
Step 1: Extract the Kitchen
Extract nsourm kitchen in a folder of your choice eg c: folder.
Step 2: Starting up
Once you've extracted the file, you can start the kitchen by launching osKitchen.exe.
This is how it should look like: (see pic1)
Click on the button "Open Project" and select the inside the htc photon folder the type of ROM you want to use as a Base. You can choose between the five versions. (pic2)
Once you have loaded up your kitchen, you have the same setup i used for the release of my roms.
You could now just press "Start building rom" and build your first rom, however this kitchen is meant so users can create their personal ROMs (with only the stuff you need)
Note that i have already dissabled some packages but you can pass the message and build the rom.
Step 3: Customization
Once you've loaded a «stock ROM», u can customize it to your own needs. U can exclude packages, add new packages, or edit some of the app.reg files to tweak it even more.
To exclude a package, u simply need to unmark the package by pressing the box next to the package, and the packages will be disabled and not used while building the ROM.
The sys tab is for windows mobile build. Be careful with this tab, because there are some packages that can’t be disabled. I've already include sys packages 23152, 29013, 29017, 29020, 29022.The last one is new one so if you build a rom with that you are going to have a brand new rom.
The ext packages tab is the main tab and this can be modified easily.
Keep in mind however that some packages are required for some core functions of the ROM and/or sense. I did my best categorising the stuff in folders so it's easier to know which packages can be removed without affecting functionality.
There are 2 extra folders
1. Sourmelidis apps
2. Sourmelidis cht modifications and tweaks
Both folders include extra apps and modifications that can be excluded from rom without affecting anything
The advanced tweaks tab is for some tweaks for the whole rom, such as cfc compressed rom, pagepool. Splash screen etc
Step 4: Building and flashing
Once you're ready, just go ahead and press the "Start building" button, this will take a while (it depends on how fast is your pc, laptop).
Once done, you will get a file called "ruu_signed???.nbh" in the HTC photon output folder
This file is your ROM, it's built and now ready to be flash, with the known procedure using cottulas sspl
And of course the link to download.

Unfortunately due to lack of time i can’t support it as i want to but you can find answers to the windows mobile development thread, or by posting in the kitchen’s thread so someone except me(if i can) will answer your question
As i mentioned before i don’t have much time so i can’t promise many things for future versions of the kitchen. I will try to do my best………..
You can use the kitchen to publish your rom in any site, but it will be nice if you mention somewhere my name……..But if you don’t want there is no problem.
At last i want to mention that i’m not a programmer (i would like to,but…) so you can make the kitchen even better.

i did somethin wrong cooking a rom that stoped booting at the firs image ,any ideea how can i put it in bootloader mode so i can flash another rom or i'm busted ? thankyou

of course you can do that.But you are going to start from scratch and this is a big job...
here is the answer if someone dose the same mistake i did (wrong cooking ) ,after flashing a bad ''built by me'' rom the device would't boot anymore .
1.Enter bootloader mode (device off, VOL DOWN + POWER simult.)
2.Flash stock rom for your device (only,you can download it using youre phone SN )
3.That's it ,now you can flash any rom you want
Hope this can help those having trouble experimenting like me

I try to make my own rom (40c) but the process is in failure when creating the nbh file.
The file is not create in NBH OUPUT folder.(no file found)
Any ideas ?

do you have any AntiVirus program running?and what's exactly the error? upload a screenshot
I already try to disconnect antivirus program but some error message.

I tryed with my note book with XP and is it working, I think that I'have issue with my computer and w7...not time to find what's happen for the moment.

Hello lucotte.Something strange with installed programs on your win7 pc.I have win7 and all things are ok.

We're the same boat..Win7 64bit got error..while I'm back to use my PC at home running XP no any problem.
BTW. thks for your good job.
second post updated with shipped roms and windows mobile builds.
No you can try different builds with the kitchen.You can ask me how to do it
