then i hope ihtfp69 gets working on it

Does the Desire HD have that new fastboot that the Desire Z has been shown to have? And if so is this something that can be incorporated into Incredible ROMs?

Right, this is what I meant, sorry for any confusion. I guess fast boot wasn't a good term to use since we already have fast boot. I should have said like booting fast or something

dude I saw that video. that phone booted up faster than you can make a call on the Eris.

I just took a look at the Desire HD. That thing looks sick and how a phone should be built. The back looks strong, unlike our toy. Seems to be the Eris2. Hopefully one day I can get a Desire HD that thing is puuurty

I extracted it from the dump and packaged it as an .zip file to flash in recovery. Check the themes section.

so can this be made into a rom that can be ported to the DI?

Sure, there is already an HD2 rom that works.

No, I am anti-Apple.
What I mean is working on Froyo for Milestone is futile because locked bootloader prevents Us from loading it to our devices.
Such work is in my opinion pointless until someone develops a method to overgo bootloader defences.
Ya, if we can get through with the bootloader i think we will be able to use the droid ROM
will some developers are working on it...maybe a dev from here can look into this http://and-developers.com/motorola_milestone
Just because they're working on it doesn't mean they're getting anywhere. A valiant effort to be sure, but doesn't change the fact that Motorola dicked us hard in the first place.

I would actually like to know this as well.
I think thats just files installed over a 2.1 kernel/sbf which has been modded. But froyo is a different firmware all together. I know dexter said it was a z image from zeus droid, left over from the port done there for droid. Its also meant to be taken off the wwe latest version for htc desire. Good work overall, but i still want froyo i need apps2sd working on 2.1 still ain't got it down yet, without wiping or loosing the lot. Add apps on sd card from 2.2 and also the adobe flash, and it will be a brilliant device!
I still feel very dissapointed about the locked boot loader as i really would like to have custom roms comming from the winmo scene previously.
Teleus coming out in July .........but when came the froyo for Milestone DACH ?
its the GSM Version ?

Droid Incredible Signal Fix for CM6

Sup all,
As every Incredible user knows the signal bars are messed up from the factory. I have created a update flash that will fix this problem and get a little more out of your phone. This is only for CM6 not for any other 2.2 or 2.1 rom as it will not boot past splash screen. I have not tested this on Ruby.
D/L Removed
Enjoy
CJ
Thanks! When I try out AOSP's next time I'll check it out. Welcome to XDA!
Hey in a side note I loved the Jager boot animation. Anychance we could get a .zip to flash with it
ToyTank..... You seriously have me LOL.... I have been a member of Xda since May 2007... I just rarely have anything to say... and yes I will get you a copy of the jager boot animation.

Thanks. About to test it out.
I use CM6 all the time, what exactly does this change? Any chance of posting a stock file also in case I want to switch back?
anyone tried this? if so what do u think?
tested on ruby, and it did not work. just an fyi.
I'm very interested but as always skeptical to be the first one. I would like to know what it changes, and maybe even have the stock file in case it doesn't work as planned. Im using 6.0.2
I guess this works, just flashed and the bars seem higher but they always jump so I really can't tell.
just flashed and i really cant tell a difference

same here, I noticed CM6 does what stock sense did with under reporting the dB into signal bars.
This is what it fixes, the under reporting the db into signal bars. I can tell you this while driving to another town 30 miles away I used to have pandora stop streaming because of signal level for at least 20 of the 30 minute drive. I now can drive the entire way listening to music. This will not solve no service issues but might help, plus is a great improvement in weak signal areas. Remember db -120 is no service at all. For Ruby I will be working with sniffle to get this incorporated.
CJ
So what exactly its the change? Is there any way of also posting up the stock file incase this doesn't make any improvements.
Thanks for your work!

Try setting the review time to none. I just tested both taking pictures and video and both are working. Make sure permissions are correct.
Tried on 3 devices on no dice...it's a kernel issue, not app issue

I'm on stock GB leak and its working perfectly other then the 1080p recording.
I downloaded the file
Copied it to my SD card
Used Super Manager from the market to delete the old camera app and copy the new one
Changed permissions as stated in the topic
Rebooted and it works unlike the old one
I can snap pictures but it doesn't save. So yea the same old problem.
I just set this up. If you set the review time to none it wont freeze but it's not saving the pictures.

I'd say no as HTC removed the code for it in sense ICS and sense 4 jb, although sense 5 is a lot different that's why you don't see it in sense 3.6 or 4
I can't confirm that the code is gone but I don't know if it there
Possible I think on AOSP though if that gets up and running

It can be done....
Once i get the device, probably next Week , i'll look into it

AFAIK it wasnt possible on the One X since there wasnt any libs for that effect out for the Tegra 3 platform. With the One it should be more easy since it uses the same GPU as the Nexus 4 does, plus Qualcomm Chipset. I am no expert but in general, from my understanding, it should be alot easier to get AOSP and Nexus 4 features on the One than on the One X. Really looking forward to a possible CRT effect, loved it on my Nexus 4.

Crt "on" effect is made out of libsurfaceflinger.so, crt off is only made out of the 2 jars above...
A smali code is also requiered into the kernel , to make it fully working, it could be activated into it by default...
Crt in aosp are made and built from source... can't be added to jars from the ONE..
I already checked services.jar the lines missing can be added..

AOSP has it working just fine so maybe when it's a bit more stable i can use that as a dd, it's not the end of the world i was just curious, and damn HTC for making it difficult, no idea what they've gained from that. Or the BT stack not working with BT peripherals, can't see the logic in it.

Before the One hit the market there were plenty of people posting "no crt, not buying" which was why I felt the need to find a vid of it.
When I saw what they were crying about I quickly decided that we were well rid of them. Especially as the majority of them probably weren't old enough to have ever SEEN a CRT with that pronounced an effect.
