Are one of these boards the GSM board? i know one is GPS and one is UMTS (does that handle the GSM too?) Or what else might have caused me to loose signal capability?

Why did you replace the digitizer? What was the problem in your case?
.....I think UMTS handles GSM also.

Thank you! Yes i fixed it, and the UTMS does handle GSM too.

looking for a way to boost my signal becuase i only have 1 bar an my signal is to low for me to even use the web on my phone.
If it’s a Kaiser, try turning 3g off with one of the many com managers about. It worked for me.
Or move to an area with better coverage?

[WIP] Wireless Charging on IncS

I am planning to install wireless charging in IncS.
I would need some advice from experts in order to move forward.
On going through various forums on internet, i came across a small difference between the HTC Droid Incredible 2(Which supports wireless charging) and IncS.

There are 4 small contact points on both the motherboards(Marked and circled in the pic). But on INcredible 2 there is a small plate soldered on those. Whereas, on INcS there is no such thing. I mean there is no way a Qi compatible charger receiver can touch the motherboard.
My question now is that should I get this thing soldered on IncS motherboard or do I need to do something else also?

New board new radio chip- better reception??

Hi
A while back I thought I toasted my motherboard using the 7floor mod. I managed to get the board up and running. I ordered a replacement from HK and it has now arrived.
Now looking at the new motherboard there is a different radio chip TDA7388 which is mounted in the rear (no chip on the original board). Do you know if this chip would have improved reception as the older boards radio reception is poor with a chip TEF6686, lock does not work too
Here are the photos.

This is the amplifier IC, not the radio!
I have great reception with the TEF6686
The best is the Placebo brand chip.

Sometimes (mostly in the morning when I have a first look at my phone) the is a pictogram in the right top of my phone. A telephone, a 'one' and something else but I don't know what this pictogram means. After a little while it disappears, and in the meantime there is no malfunction. Could not find any explanation on the www. Any ideas?
Hi
It means LTE on 4G network, should be better, but i'm not sure, I think I get disconnected much more than I used to.
Seems like VoWiFi icon. I haven't seen it or used VoWiFi, so I can't be sure, but that icon does look like phone with a WiFi.
Broadcasted from Zeta Reticuli
Allows 4G online calls.

Weak or no signals on XZ3

Hi
I am using Sony XZ3 for around 15 months on O2 UK.
For last 4-5 months I am struggling to get good network reception. Changed sim card as well but no luck. I put my sim in my old HTC phone and not had any issues for 2 weeks. What is possibly wrong with the phone or network?
Screen shots attached via Net Monitor Lite app. Why it shows WCDMA connection on LTE or GSM sim?

Same issue. Reception is really bad against other phones.
We need to update the baseband.
