[Q] Does anyone have a ROM Manager SD partition guide for DarkTremor App2SD? - HTC Aria Themes and Apps

I'm using Liberated_Aria R008 and I've tried using ROM Manager to partition my SD card but when I go into the terminal app and all permissions are denied when I try to do ANYTHING with App2SD.

Did u figure this out? Type su in terminal before doing a a2sd check.
i had the same issue.

Another problem with moving apps to SD

I rooted.
I flashed attn1 R012
I ADB'd (why?)
I partitioned with ROM Manager
I cannot get an app from Market to work to move my apps to SD.
Did I install the wrong ROM for this?
I thought this was supposed to be a feature of this ROM.
Al I wanted to be able to do was get rid of bloatware and move the apps to the SD.
This is getting overwhelming.
What do I do?
Download titanuim backup and check in a2sd and see if u have a ext?

I just dl'ed it (the pro version) It's not in my apps list, but I do see it in settings>manage applications. ???
To move all of your downloaded apps to the SD card (note this does not affect your system apps):
Terminal Emulator
type:
su
Click to collapse
accept SuperUser permissions
then:
a2sd reinstall
Click to collapse

Ok, I did a2sd reinstall at terminal emulator.
I downloaded Titanium free to go with my unlock version.
Here's what I see now:
Internal 194MB (117MB Free)
SD Card 7.61 GB (6.65GB Free)
SD Card (a2sd) 239 MB (124MB Free)
So, looks like it is setup now, right?
Thanks for your help!
I should probably increase the a2sd size; I don't have nearly all of the apps I want
okay my first post!
I did the above mentioned all looks good. Do have to do this every once in a while to move the apps to the sd card or will all future downloaded apps be moved to the sd card at download?
All future downloads/installations will automatically be placed on the ext partition. So nope, just do it once, make sure it's installed, and you're ready to take off.
Thanks for the response.
1. If I flash another rom with a2sd do i have to do anything special in regards to the apps on the on the ext.
2. Is the devlik cache also moved to the Sd card now? If not how would I move it?
3. If I replace the sd card with a new one would I just format and create the ext partion and how do I get the apps off the old card?
Thanks in advance

1. if you're using DT a2sd then yes you will need to reflash it after flashing a new rom.
2. again if using DT a2sd you will have to go into the terminal emulator and type 'su', hit enter. Then type 'a2sd cachesd'. This will move your dalvic to the ext. On the built a2sd there is no option to do this.
3. to get the apps of the old ext partition you will need some form of a linux operating system such as ubuntu (you can run ubunty right off a cd or usb without actually installing it to your computer) and you can literally just copy and paste. Windows does not do this as it cannnot see you ext partition and I have no idea if Mac can or not.
Understood.
Thanks for the quick response.

[Q] [Problem]Low disk space even after Darktremor Apps2SD

Hello. I have installed CM 7.2.0 (R3) have applied OC kernel, Partitioned an SD Card and Installed Darktremor Apps2SD. I set the size for Ext3 1GB and for Swap 0MB. I followed the tutorial and everything went according to it. It even stores all .APK files un SD-EXT. But still I`m getting low disk space notification and can`t install no more apps.
I tried to re-install ROM several times and made all actions but the result is the same.
Can anyone help?
Thanks.
have u apply the a2sd command on terminal emulator?
open terminal, write:
su
a2sd check
a2sd zipalign
a2sd cachesd
reboot

if you have apps installed on sdcard first move them to internal memory then move them all by the command in terminal emulator also move the dalvik cache to sd because dalvik cache alone consume about 60 mb of internal space i will suggest you to use link2sd because it is an app and u can move the app which you want a2sd script will move all the app automatically

Insufficient memory on miracle v4 ROM

Hello, right now i'm using miracle v4 ROM with dartremor a2sd script for cm7. I'm facing a apps installation problem that always occurs when I try to download big-sized app like inotia4, magic piano etc. It keep saying insufficient memory, but when I check the available space on titanium backup, I still have a lot of space in memory card also internal storage because of a2sd partition. Anyone suffer same problem as me?

i have same problem..
i hv lots of space in internal and memory card.
but evrything installs to the small a2sd partition, which is only 180 mb
I have 1.16 GB on my a2sd partition and 88.5 MB on internal storage. The inotia4 only around 43MB. But it can't be installed even downloaded before the download process it keep saying error insufficient memory.

Anyone know how to solve this?
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda app-developers app
This is most probably some conflict with the play store and/or titanium backup
go to settings->applications->manage applications
Clear the data and cache from the play store
If still doesnt resolve the issue, delete the vending.apk from \system\app
use this to reinstall it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1802291
Okay, the first suggestion failed and now i'm working on the second, do i need to install it via root explorer (copy paste to /system/app) or just normal installation?

The second way didnt work either

Internal memory cannot be accessed

Hi friends I'm using Sgt p1000 aokp #40 build everything is great when I connected my tab to PC both internal as well as external memories popped up and I got accessed both
But I recently done some procedure for identication of external memory through file manage it follows
''create emmc.sh on sdcard
open emmc.sh
copy thus command busybox mount -t vfat -o rw,dirsync,nosuid,nodev,noexec,relatime,uid=1000,gid=1015,fmask=0702,dmask=0702,allow_utime=0020 /dev/block/mmcblk1p1 /sdcard/emmc
to emmc .sh
save it
open script manager.. you can download on playstore
choose emmc.sh
klik boot,, then run it.,
done''
This worked fine now I can detect my external SD on phone through file managers but couldn't access my internal memory(inbuilt) memory when I connect to PC...plz help....

YOU ARE ON AOKP BUILD#40...ARE U KIDDING ME?????ALL THIS TIME I WAS THINKING THAT U WERE ON CM10.....emmc(external sdcard) works fine in AOKP build#40(it's already mounted)......(you can find it here....mnt/emmc)There is already a folder named emmc in the root of your directory and the external card is mounted to it......
Those busybox lines now mounted your ext sd card to (sdcard/emmc) and hence you can't get it mounted on to your pc

Disable the running script...uninstall smanager.....and u should be fine.....
you can find all your external card content in the root of the directory.......A folder named emmc...
But I didn't find it on astro file man before this script manager process.. how to stop the script plz reply

1.Open smanager and then click the menu button>>>>>>click on list option>>>>>>>(there u will find emmc script file)click on it>>>>>Disable boot and superuser by clicking on them>>>>>>and then save it>>>>>>reboot>>>>and it's done.....
To find your external card content>>>>>open root explorer>>>>>>go to emmc folder which is in the root of our sdcard....no need to open sdcard folder....
Done now I can access my both ads on PC but cannot find external SD contents in the emmc folder in root...using es file explorer.

After every reboot my settings get deleted and all apps are gone?!

So hay guys
I successfuly swaped my sd cards ..
4.8GB FAT32
2GB EXT3
1GB Linux swap
But every time i restart my tab and all apps which ive installed are away but if go.to settings and look at all my installed apps there are grey boxes with 0,00byte?
So how can i fix it must i create another partition? I was thinking that the ext3 is for stuff like save settings or app cache/data?
Must i edit any file in the root of my device?
Its really annoying :/
I hope u can help me
My device:

I understand you didn't take out your broken internal SD.
You just partition your external SD.
And not to ext4 but ext3 only.
Maybe that is all OK, I could be wrong.
But have you tried booting without your external SD?
I just suspect your external isn't being used.

I think that the /data partition doesn't work for me?
But how i can allow my ext sd card to write into the /data partition?
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda app-developers app
By removing your internal SD card like the other thread with success stories.
At least that is what I think you need to do.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda app-developers app
Hmm but if i remove my internal sd must i flash the rom again or is the rom automaticly on my ext sd?
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda app-developers app
No, I think the other thread has all the steps.
And I think you do need ext4, not ext2 or 3.
