Is the updated PSFreedom for HTC Wildfire released? if not, is it being worked on? I'm pointing at the PSFreedom that will be able to run the Backup Manager 2.0

no, it is built just for the hero rom. its closed source and people havent been able to port it yet. if you used the JACxHero rom you should get it, but not in the regular JACxRom.
Couple of days ago HTC relased Magic Update which includes Sense UI. It's available at http://www.htc.com/europe/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=267&cat=2&dl_id=862
Is it possible to port it to G1 and create a hero-like rom with working BT?
This would be great.
I would love to see a colaborative effort from the developers on this because the two phones are so closely related. This should be a relatively easy port after changing out the kernel. Here's hoping people like WG, Jubeh, Cyan, King, and the rest get involved.

This is in regards to the HTC branded Magic. Magic has a 32a board. This wont work because the MT3G/G1 are 32b.
Since it's possible to do this: [TOOL][EBI1/32A] MAGIC Port (PORT & USE ANY 32B ROM ON YOUR 32A PHONE!) [18-12-09] forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=601033 maybe it would be possible to do it the other way 32A->32B and then port it to Dream

The 32A also has 288MB ram & 512MB ROM which is found in the Magic and Dream has only 192MB ram and 256ROM. A full Sense Build can't be used and BT will never work on a sense rom.The HTC Hero has the Sense UI which is found on all hero roms here.The only diff is the boot screen on the magic which is a large android that moves. It has been ported already but will never run smooth on a dream cause of HW limitations.
The quickest SenseUI I've seen is the espressoUI. I have some pretty high hopes for it. And I looks great!
well as of now the only way i know of installing it is through HTC Sync. in other words, i can't find an update.zip to unpack, so we need system dumps.

CursorDroid already posted a rooted stock rom in the sapphire development section for 3.05.401.5 rom. Should be much easier.

I love sense roms like espresso on my magic 32b but non working BT keeps me way from it (use this on my car). Saw the posibility of working BT with a 32a radio & spl but a few bricked magics and non working at all sense roms...
I know isn't the same hardware but: is it impossible to fix it for the developers ?

Also, the answer is no. The Magic's getting the update are the 32A's which are closer to the Hero in hardware than to the G1's. So you'd still be in the same boat you are in with current Hero ROMs.

It's not possible (as far as I know) to use the 1.6 market on a 1.5 hero rom. You can, however, use a 2.1 Hero rom which shold have the newer market. Try King's Eris port.
I know right now everyone is messing with froyo 2.2 rom build out but i wanna know how many variations of froyo are out currently and what people are woprkin on ??? I also wanna know if anyone has seen or heard about sense 2.2 and if anyone is planning any new roms ....KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ALL

Agreed needs to be moved to Q & A section, but to answer your question there is only one base build of 2.2 right now the one that darchstar built from the ground up. So no sense 2.2 for the hero yet. But the evo is getting their 2.2 upgrade with sense so you never know, it could be on the horizon or it might not... Just gotta wait and see.
2.2 Sense has been released by HTC, if they can resize everything (xml and graphics) it should work, I don't know how all those resized icons will look, though.

u guys r such n00bz . we can't port an htc evo rom cuz its optimized to run on snapdragon armv7 arch. it will never boot with those libs. our hopes for a 2.2 sense rom would be a froyo legend rom, or a froyo espresso rom, as those both have libs optimized for armv61/armv5te
We have to wait for it to come out on a platform similar to ours, with a arm v6 (iirc) processor. With the libs for the armv7 cpu, it would never work.

Is confirmed the porting on android and psp. But we don't know what will need to run. A new kernel, sure. Maybe the terminal emulator (or a gui) to start/stop the deamon.

As far as I've heard, you need to not have USB at all (only charging works) to be able to run this.
So either as someone said on the original thread, someone makes a recovery image that we can flash for that same purpose OR dual-boot from SD.
To be honest I don't see the second one happening on the Tattoo

At least on kernel 2.6.29 (spqrom 0.4), the tattoo uses the msm_hsusb driver instead of the MSM72K, so i don't think it will work without porting it. But the hero and dream use msm_hsusb on 2.6.2x kernel and MSM72K on 2.6.3x. Maybe a kernel update could fix this for us (hear that, rom cookers? update the kernel of your froyo roms!)

The wildfire uses the same msm_hsusb as shown in the graph, so maybe the ball is now rolling?

I flashed the wildfire zip and it returned no errors like the other zip, but failed to go past the tattoo logo on SPQRom 0.4.1?
