Theming issue (Metamorph and Ninjamorph) - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
I can't seem to apply any themes at al to my N1. I'm currently running Enoms 2.12.2. Using metamorph it occasionally thinks the theme has been applied, but once rebooted the best I get is a wallpaper change back to stock (not a black or glass status bar). I have tried using ninjamorph to change one icon, and this simply causes a bootloop once applied.
Any ideas?

Since it might help some people in the future in case they encounter the same behavior and come here looking for answer, I'll post the answer from another thread:
The OP checked his settings and found that oveclocking was the cause of the theme not being applied. He dropped the clock speeds and a simple theme worked.
A couple of more complicated themes failed, though - so the question is still relevant.

[Q] Problem with "new" standard theme for FroydVillain 1.5

I'm sitting here in my room enjoying the fact that I now have FroydVillain 1.5 on my Hero. I have stumbled into a problem though. My status bar is still the "vanilla" one and therefor my fonts have gone invisible (or the same color as the new UI) and the same with some of icons. For instance my clock in the status bar is impossible to see..
Does anyone know a fix for this which goes around a full wipe?
Thanks in advance
- Me
EDIT: A partial wipe will be okay as well, just as long as I don't have to start "All Over" with setting up my interface and settings..
To anyone experiencing the same problem. I've found the solution, even though I ended up wiping my Hero anyway. It seems to be something with the kernel version I downloaded. I will try to download the next one through the VillainRom Updater and hopefully this helps.

Is there a way to theme the settings menu?

I have seen a few different ROM's with colored Icons in the setting menu and I have searched this thread and I haven't found any MOD's out there to do it. What am I missing?
Use Metamorph. It will do what you're looking for. Most of the morphs are in the Nexus One forum but I've used them without issue. The worst that can happen is they don't apply but they won't break your phone so just try them out.

a cyan theme for CM6 RC1?

I want a theme that's black/cyan for my aria. It's running RC1 [from the RC1 thread], and I've already changed all the text colors to a cyan that matches the original cyano mod power strip/bar. but there are plenty other colors floating around (lockscreen, incoming call, battery icon, etc).
I'm a noob at fiddling around with actual the actual files (apks, jars), and I'm scared of installing a theme that's not meant for this rom (will it even boot? i got stuck in boot loop when i tried a cm6 theme >.<). I like a clean look like the glass themes (can't post links.. urg) but in cyan (and able to run on this rom/phone). Metamorph won't run on this phone. Is there a way to flash a MM theme without it (guess not?)?
..is there a black/cyan theme floating around that'll work for the aria rc1?
Im not sure if its exactly what you're looking for but if you search "CyanogenMod ADW Theme" in the market place there is a theme that sounds like what you're looking for. And its meant to work with ADW which is the launcher that comes preinstalled with CM6.
lol I remember seeing that one, but it looks like someone puked cyan all over the screen >_<
Also, I'm looking for more of a simple rom theme, and not so much actually changing icons/buttons.
In fact, if anyone can teach me how to change colors (lock screen, battery icon--so it's cyan and not green, incoming/ongoing call screen, other notification bar icons--alarm/wifi/mobile network/signal strength/etc, menu/setting font colors, icon highlight color, etc) manually, I'd be just as happy to go through the labor myself (..i think). A point to a tutorial would help too
EDIT: nevermind. I found some tutorials and stuff in the theme forums. I'll just read up there and figure it out.

[REQ] need some help with a theme

I am using the GalaxyS theme with Vegan 5.1 right now and for the most part I really like it, problem is the status icons are horrible. I tried pulling the green icons out of the GreenV2 theme and using ninjamorph to combine them with the GS theme. (I would just flash the GreenV2 theme, but I can't stand all the other green stuff in it) Anyway, whenever I push the framework back in with NM, I go into a bootloop.
Can anyone with experience with this stuff find it in their hearts to combine these two themes and create a flashable zip? All I want are the status icons and I can provide all the files needed since they don;t seem to be readily available on the forum anymore.

[Q] Changing icons for theme

I'm in the process of making a theme but I have come across an issue I just can't seem to resolve. Basically everything goes fine for my theme except the icons. I downloaded another theme and applied it and the icons in my app drawer change. Yet I don't see where these changed took place in the actual apk when I decompile it. The only changed icon is the com_browser_ic_launcher icon and nothing else. Yet this is the icon that is changed in the app drawer which doesn't make sense because I don't see any related changed in any xml files.
I've been following this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=964391
I downloaded the templatebread theme and have been changing what I wanted but now I am stuck on the icons. I can change the launcher icons without any hiccups now I just need to find out how to change the actual icon thats in the app drawer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Well obviously its done with xml and its all based on the process names the process names have to be exact. When they are it will work even if you have one error in the process names eclipse will throw an error or should and they wont work... I've never done it but i've read alot about it.
That's what I figured but for some reason after doing a few restarts the icons now appear as they should. I guess that the old icons were cached or something.
