Guys,
I'm looking for the original wallpapers of the HTC hero and of the Android 2.1 villainrom . I like them and I would like to use them on a HTC desire. Can someone help me with that?
If you look inside the VillainROM12.0.0-Full-signed.zip under system/customize/resource all the wallpapers are there.
I am not sure how they will look on the desire as I think the desire screen has a higher resolution....
Thx, I can probably upscale in PhotoShop. What's the resolutionfor the desire?

Check the wallpapers you currently have on the desire or ask in the desire forums...

Here is NOTES WIDGET for HTC Sense.it is a version from old DESIRE which i previously extracted and it is missing in HTC HUB downloads.it is working on new Sense with no problems.i sometimes use it so i thought some of you might find it useful.
Just install .apk and add widget to your home screen.

There are 2 things in the newest HTC MY TOUCH 4G Rom ( Glacier ) that i am wondering if possible to extract for DESIRE HD (the best rom) :
- The lock screen. which comes in 2 layers and has it's own wallpapers that slides off screen.
- The desk clock app. this one looks so nice, comes in landscape with some nice features.
if possible please do extract any of them or both.

When I get home i'll have a look at that ROM.but I doubt it will be possible without porting the whole HTC framework.but i'll try.

hey guys,
I am new to android (just came from good old WinMo) and when i am installing these apps, a message comes up that says:
"You give this app access to:
- accounts
- sms
- location
- your entire digital life (etc etc)"
is that normal for every app that you install that isn't from the market place?
And I've also seen some scalable HTC Sense-like widgets for agenda, contacts and the like...are they official HTC widgets or custom ones?

it seems I can't find it anywhere... The Bootanimation was used by Mdeejay on his Desire HD roms for the HD2 which I sold. What I don't know is if it's specific to Mdeejay's roms, or it comes with Hastarin's kernels:
1st there's a black splash screen with htc in green, and then appears Droid with 'sparks' or 'thunderbolts' emanating from its antennas while Android system loads. Under Droid was written " LeTama @ xda ".
I asked LeTama but he's not the creator of the Bootanimation, so I don't know if its Mdeejay's or Hastarin's creation...
Someone here knows what I'm talking about because I would love to have it on my Desire HD !

Mdeejay's DHD roms were the best for the HD2, I'm positive many here used them, no ?
The DHD is my first Android device so I'm not familiar with the one but I definately want to see that boot animation.

Its possible but you need to edit all of the .apks and resize everything, so it does take time.
You need Sense 4 too
