Wouldnt you need to odex that goes with the stock music player app? It seems that any time someone tries to install just the apk it won't work.

I have the Cyanogen one that's I took from the Nexus One build of Cyanogen. Works fine.

Stock Android Music Player

Can I download an .apk of the stock Android music App? I had the original Mytouch with the stock music player and I really liked that (it wasn't slow and laggy) but the new Mytouch has the HTC Sense player.
Download any 1.5 (cupcake) rom, like cyanogen 4.04, open the .zip, take the system/app/musik.apk and push it to your phone.
should work (hopefully)

Get the Android 2.1 music player from Super D or one of the latest Donut ROMs. The Android 2.1 music player (stock) is way better than the Mytouch stock music player (Android 1.6) or if you want the Android 1.6 music player, get it from Dwang 1.17.1. The .apk should be in system/app
Then use a tool called AndroidCommander (on XDA, it is free just search it) and delete the music player on your phone and push the stock music player in its place.

For doing all that is mentioned above do I require root access?

Yes you do, but since you are on xda having root is a must.

Please download/email me VOLUME WIDGET!

Hey Gang,
I was wondering if someone with Android 1.5 could download VOLUME WIDGET v1.2 (this one: http://www.androlib.com/android.application.com-leepstudios-volumewidget-wmqp.aspx ) from the market... back it up... and email it to me? I can't see it in the market now that I have upgraded to the leaked 2.1 rom
Thnx!
[email protected]
edit: or you can just post it here... it is a free app
No one can help me on this?
I suppose I will have to post on another forum.
I use audio manager. Not sure if it works on 2.1. I know it works on 2.0
http://www.androlib.com/android.application.com-smartandroidapps-audiowidget-wnq.aspx
yes audio manager widget works on 2.1
There are tons of volume apps with widgets that work.
I am interested in the one called "VOLUME WIDGET V1.2"
Can anyone help me out?
EDIT: The app will not install on Android 2.1
It goes through the installation process just fine, but ends in the message "Application not installed"
I guess i have to wait for the developer to make it compatible with android 2.1

Stock Music App

Coming here from the Vibrant forums. I'm looking to see if anything can pull out the music player Stock apk [and odex if it comes with it] and post it up? I'm working on a new ROM.

Is it any chance to install Stock Music Player from TouchWiz3.0 or 4.0 on SGS with ics? For me that was best player for android ever, but i like ICS as well, so don't want to come back to Gingerbread just cause of player. I tried so many of players from market, but anyone was that good for me as Stock Samsung has been.

TubeMate ICS Music Player question!

Hello there, I have a question for ICS users using tubemate...
Before upgrading to ICS, tubemates "fake mp3" file was working in stock music player normally and now on ICS it seems like its not working in stock player.
I also tried in winamp but the only way its working is if I am playing it directly from tubemate or x-plore...
Did anyone found some way for this to work or some players that are compatibile with tubemate mp3 files.
Thank you

Bro.. mp3 files from tubemate is already ok..
Your mp3player is not a problem..
The big problem is ics bug issue..
The media storage is a part of bug issue..cause of multiple image file,or fake file,
Hopefully is help to you..
