Youtube problem since frg83 upgrade - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ever since upgrading to frg83 (2.2.1) I've been unable to launch youtube. When I try, the screen goes black for a second and then I'm returned to the home screen. You can view the logcat at http://www.monkeypower.co.uk/youtube_logcat

Bump - any ideas?

If no one has any ideas, does anyone have an apk for the official youtube app, so I can see if a reinstall fixes it?

Am i really the only one who is having this problem?

i cant download anything in the android market anymore and i dont know why

i recently noticed when i try to download any app from the android market or update an app it will act like its starting the download but then never actually start it. im running the latest cyanogen rom. i have tried wiping and reflashing the latest cyanogen rom and reflashing the google apps addon. i have tried restoring to a previous backup when the apps were working in the market. i have tried flashing a non cyanogen rom even. nothing i can think of (my thoughts are limited since im fairly new at all this) and still no success. i had the same problem on my g1 with cyanogen and i somehow managed to get that working again by trying similar things but no luck yet with my nexus one and its really upsetting me. any ideas on how i can go about fixing this? thanks for all your help

May sound stupid (and yes, it is) but try launching google talk. Often bby logging in to talk, market downnloads kick off. Seems to be google account related.

OK I tried the uninstall updates idea and no luck there. Opening Google talk also didn't solve the problem. Any other ideas guys? Thanks
I wonder if you ever found a solution to this?
Well for me, I have to open GTalk and close it and reopen and close and reopen...it eventually works when it fully loads... Oddly, it seems to only happen on wifi. I'm pretty sure it's a GTalk issue.
Hopefully the new market system will make a difference...I really hope
How's the amount of space on your phone? Do you see the little hard drive icon? I know that the Market always starts to download stuff but never actually downloads anything when my phone space its low.
Hope this helps!

Froyo YouTube Widget

I installed the new kang o rama froyo rom package and ended up putting the YouTube widget on one of my homescreens. But I noticed that whenever I click on the search icon, nothing happens. It doesn't launch the search. The video button works fine. Anyone else had this happen?

I have same problem. With all firmwares out there so ists bug on froyo google needs to fix

[Q]Gallery freezes when trying to access.

I did some searching on this issue but the only thread I found was from 2010 and we've come a ways since then. My issue is, randomly when I try and access my gallery I will get a black screen while my buttons remain lit. I have to hit the home button in order to do anything and then need to kill the gallery from running in order to get back into it. Has anyone else seen this or know how to fix it?
I'm runniny Serendipity VII build 2 kernel 4.

I haven't had this issues, but here are a couple of things I can think of:
1. Did you try installing a different gallery over it? (Using SGS tools)
2. How many pictures do you have? I could see a lot of folders/pics tripping it up.
3. Have you tried clearing the data from the app? (Through settings)

I haven't installed another gallery because I like the default one and haven't had any problems with it until recently. I've got a few hundred pictures but about 7gigs of anime that I can't keep from showing up each time. I checked the application settings but there isn't anything you can clear.

Try this: look around in your filesystem for a file called .nomedia, and put a copy of that in the folder/folders you have your anime images in. They won't show up in gallery, but you'll still be able to get to them.

ok so I finally fixed this. I never tried to install the new market iut was just a coincidence that it happened at this time. What I had to do to fix it was disable voodoo lagfix. I have no idea why that would be making the market close like that but after disabling and letting my tab convert back the market works again. I havent re-converted it but I will be doing that after work today, hopefully the issue doesnt come back.

HTC one update - does not download

Hi guys
My HTC one finds a sw update but does not download.
I also see that when trying to download other things from HTC this does not work either. (HTC tutorial video updates,
) I am not able to create an account with htc either. I am able to use everything else as normal. The market and all other is as it should be.
Please, any ideas? I have also started the update with the code *#*#682#*#* with same result. Phone is not going on from what the attached picture show.
Thanks!
