LG Home - Fascinate Themes and Apps

so i know it seems a bit odd but i was messing around and decided to try out the LG home launcher and to my surprise it loaded without a hitch and honestly its super freaking smooth. no lag whats over going from screen to screen nor any lag loading and closing the app drawer. honestly it doesnt look half bad with the black bar mod. only complaint is i miss my launcher pro widgets but if you are looking for a light and clean/stock looking launcher may want to give it a try...
lg launcher

I downloaded it and i like it to. the only thing is when i first opened it it said it could not display some of the widgets other than that i really like it

yea saw those too, believe they are lg widgets not installed

mine also wont let me change the volume from silent to vibrate or anything it just keeps force closing

Screenshot?

[Q] lockscreen only

I want a simple lockscreen without having to install a theme, as I don't want changes to my wallpaper or notification bar. What I have in mind is something like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I don't need any further customisations, so I wonder if the only way I can get it is to purchase an a lockscreen app? I have some paid apps, but I believe I'll really under-utilise the lockscreen ones, so if there are some free and legitimate files that I can use, that will be great! TIA.
Does anybody know?
You can always use metamorph if you don't want to flash a full theme.

Thanks for the tip. I checked up Metamorph and it's really beyond me. So I got the widgetlocker app.
But I'll bookmark the really cool Metamorph thread and refer to it if I ever become my tech savvy!
I use widget locker, you have to pay, but it's a brilliant app

+1 for WidgetLocker
Now that I've got widgetlocker, I think it totally rocks! Especially when used with the themes created by people from XDA!
I was a little put-pff by the screencaptures I saw on appbrain, which aren't exactly nice.

Wallpaper

I actually like the color blue that Moto has used in theming the D3. One thing that is missing in my humble opinion is a decent wallpaper that goes with this. I tried the stock ones and nothing hits the spot. I am wondering if any of you out there are like I am. If you have something that works please let me know. I am very interested in finishing this off.
Try 'Xperia Play Wallpapers' from the market. It has a nice blue one I used for a while.

No problem, glad you like it.

Here's mine that I whipped up in PhotoShop. Don't ask how I did it 'cause I can't tell you. This was my first time using PS, with the aid of a few YouTube videos.
If you'd like the original, I'll PM you a direct link to my PhotoBucket. It's an enormous image so that when cropped by the D3 "ANDROID" fills the home screen as shown.

Has anyone seen this before? "This item is not available"

So a while ago I wiped my phone, and when I was reinstalling all the apps one particular app was not in the market anymore. I didn't think twice and just found the .apk somewhere and downloaded it there.
I used market doctor on all the apps.
I got this today

Does anyone know why it's not available? Is it a phone restriction or a I carrier or country? I live in the US.

Yes Shootme was taken off the Market by the dev. His feelings got hurt from some of the comments left
Actually it stopped working for me one day, tell me I don't have root blah blah blah.
I'm happy with Screenshot ER now

CM7.1 has built in screen shot capabilities now by holding the power button down which brings up the power off, silent mode, etc. ShootMe stopped working for me too.
I know, but it takes shots at low res, and while I like it for simple things like sharing a screenshot, I do do a lot of graphic design and sometimes I need high-res. Shoot Me was the only one that worked well for me that tooks shots the dimensions of the screen.

Wtf is this shortcut that keeps popping up.

Seems like every day or so I get this random shortcut as well as a notification to download some app of the day. I can't figure out what's making the notification/shortcut. Any ideas of what it can be? I posted a pic and you can see the shortcut in the middle of my home screen.

That must be an app you have downloaded. Some of them have auto run when android loads, and then they 'push' a notification message (ad) , or put a shortcut on your home screen. I used to have an MP3 Downloader app that did that. There is an app in the market that disables the auto run from these apps but I forgot what it was called.
I figured that was it, just don't know what app it might be.

Download Adpush (I think that's what it's called) and it will scan for spyware-ish apps like that and tell you which one is doing it.

[REQ] Rotation Lock small app

Hi,
I'd like to ask if anyone could develop a small app that locks the rotation of the phone and not just toggle auto-rotate on off but actually LOCK the device in it's current rotation.
ya just like apple rotation lock. Any widget app?

Ride it like you downhill it.
+1, I've been looking for one for ages now.
Something like this?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.SagiL.orientationlocker
It's not a Small App, but it's very functional and nice to use
Swyped from my incredible Sony Xperia Z with Tapatalk 4
I have a solution, while this is not a native small app, in practice it functions as such.
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_fOjlIC2fbxUzRtUThhNU13QlU/edit?usp=sharing
Install the above apk and convert the widget to a small app. The icons have been modified to fit in with other small app icons.
FULL DISCLOSURE: This app was not made by me, it's freely available on the play store Rotation Locker and made available here with the permission of the developer madmack
The icons were made by sunbriel
All I changed were the icons.
