[REQ] Blue Minimalism v1.3 Theme - Fascinate Themes and Apps

[REQ] I was wondering if anyone would be able to port over Blue Minimalism v1.3 for the fascinate it is currently working the Epic over a deodexed rom. I have tried to install this theme file on my fascinate the way it is and I just get never ending boot loops....
Since I'm a noob on this forum I can't place links yet to show you what I'm talking about so if you just go to the search field and type " Epic [THEME] Blue Minimalism v1.3
there is the following files that would be great get ported over
Blue Minimalism v1.3.zip [theme]
Blue Minimalism v1.3.1 lockscreen mod.zip
Blue Mini Dialer v1.0
I would be willing to be a tester for anyone willing to work this port for us fascinate users
Thanks!

I could see about doing this for you but not having one I would need a tester. Let me see about a de-odexed rom to use as a base and it should be no problem. If anyone that has a Fascinate wants to do it thats cool too because they can actually test it themselves which speeds the process up.

Nice, I'm at work so if nobody has taken the project up by the time I get home I'll check that out. I'm guessing the mods I made should be the same but I will still need a tester to be sure.

Hey Raiderep,
Your theme is so sweet, That would be so killer if you would rework the frameworkd and system files etc what ever needs to be done for this theme to work on the fascinate.
As I stated in my request I'm more then willing to work with you and be the tester of it. I'm some what a noob with this stuff and everything. However I'm comfortable with root, CWR I have mulitple backups stored to go back to as well. I have tried this theme that way you worked it for the Epic and ended up in never ending boot loops. Just pulled battery went into CWR and restored a back-up. Not really sure the extent of testing that maybe your looking for but I sure I can do it.
I'm currently running a de-binged google experience deodexed rom that is called Super Clean Rom the dev behind this is jt1134 and it is smooth and fast no fc's anymore and is fully deodexed. Not sure how to PM since I'm a noob on this forum I'm not allowed to do much, and even tried to PM and it wouldn't let me. Anyway I'm ready to work this when ever you are.
Thanks,

This is the latest release right? Just want to be sure. If its flashable as is then I might only have to change the update script. Does this flash in clockwork?

I will need a tester for sure as I only have an epic. As long as you have a clockwork back-up, which it sounds like you do, then you should be fine. There is always risk doing this kind of thing so the usual applies, I'm not responsible yada yada...the worst you might have to do is flash with odin if you guys have that ability.
I got the DI01_Deodex_CW from frostman89 to use as a base so I am hoping this will work over any deo-odexed system on the same os release. I'll get some done tonight and need a tester. Stay tuned

Sounds good, Yes I understand all the yada yada.... Bla Bla disclaimers So I will be up for a few more hours. Let me know what I need to do first... I will start with Flashing back to Frostman89 deodexed rom. At that point not sure how you want to send me the flashfiles to start testing since I'm a noob not sure if you can PM me or what?? Let me know, and I will get going on this as soon as your ready Thanks again for your help getting this over to us fascinate users.
>> I have got to get my User name changed on this forum... lol

Well I have the dialer and settings done but its weird not testing myself. Let me do the two frameworks and have you test that before doing the battery mod. I can just post a media fire link here and remove it later. Give me another half hour or so.

Ok Sounds good just got done loading frostman89 deodexed rom. It has all the stock fascinate apps in it along with the bing and vz nav stuff which I'm sure you can see since you likley are working off that rom... Can I remove out the bing stuff and load up the google experience apps real quick or wait on it?

Thats shouldn't be a problem. I am having second thoughts on this whole thing but I'll give you what I got so far. I really don't feel comfortable theming a phone I don't have for testing on. There are differences I wasn't expecting in some of the image types and without something to test with I don't even want to mess with them. Sorry if I jumped the gun on this but I'm sure someone else with a fascinate will carry on. brb with a link
Ok I have very little confidence this will even work as I don't know how the update scripts work on fascinate and had to guess. I doubt it will even flash but I suppose its worth a try since I put in some time and recovery most likely will reject it
Hope your back-up is handy if it does flash and makes your phone look funny...good luck

I understand you want to be able to test it first hand, I'm still willing to test and let you know what happens if you comfortable if not no worries as you said maybe someone else will take it on possibly Frostman89 or another person thats comfortable with ported themes over to the fascinate.... If you want to PM me with the link of what you have so far that would be cool if not that's cool too!
Thanks again for you willingness to jump in and at least take a stab at it.

This is just a re-posting in case others want to try this out. It needs to be flashed over a de-odexed system or rom and preferably Frostman89's deodexed rom as that is the only one its been tested on by DroidX007. Might do more tonight but no promises and anything new will be subject to testing by any willing folks with a fascinate, I know DroidX007 will if he's around
http://www.mediafire.com/file/pcm2pf291vowo4x/Fascinate Blue Mini Beta.zip
As usual the risk is yours and I am not responsible for ill effects to your phone YMMV
edit: I think DroidX007 flashed it in clockwork recovery but I'm not familiar with how you guys are doing it with the fascinate. Hopefully he will chime in and tell us just to be certain.

Yes... clockwork recovery is what I've been doing with this theme as its a flashable file like many others that we have been using as in frostman89 remix nextheme and others.
First off Many thanks to the hard working dynamo Raiderep that was kind enough to work his epic theme for us fascinate users.
** Now on to my finding testing this partial Blue Minimalism
- Clockwork flashable file ( flash zip file only over the following Deodexed ROms that I have tested)
*** Did Nandroid back-up of each of these deodex Rom's listed below with this theme flashed over the top and then after reboot went back into recovery for each back-up and restored them to make sure they would still boot up and work ( Test successfull!!)
- Frostman's DI01 deodexed Rom ( tested and works!)
- Jt1134's Super Clean DI01 + AOSP apps (tested and works, no FC's)
Jt's Rom is clean of Bing and enhanced with Google along with adw launcher as second choice to the Sam touchwiz launcher ( tested and works, no FC's)
** I have added back in the puzzle lock.zip replacing the stock andorid 2.1 lock screen that Jt added in to his Rom by default. Shown in screen shot
If for some reason you have boot loops or fc's trying going back into CWR and wiping data and cache and reboot... I didn't run into this, but just be aware that you may need to.
Also As with everything we are not responsible for any thing that may happen to your phone installing this theme... Just a basic disclaimer as you all would expect
Please provide feedback as you try this theme and remember its a partial theme in more of beta form for now, and this will help as Raiderep will hopefully continuing to work thru the next phases of this killer looking theme!!
I have attached another couple screen shots using Jt's ROM with Adw launcher shown.
Cheers!

Nice, glad it worked. Nothing liked theming in the dark, thanx for testing this DroidX007.
Here's the link for the battery mod update for further testing by others if they want: http://www.mediafire.com/file/6yei3sc2ypzuc74/Fascinate Blue Mini Beta - Battery mod test.zip
I think I'll start an official thread for this if a few more can confirm its working just to be safe...

No Prob... I can only imagine what it must be like to theme in the dark.. lol
I agree an official thread is a good idea especially it may even drive that many more users to look at since this thread has been named [REQ]... I think you would even get a quicker response for more user as well by starting an official thread. Anyway just a thought

[ROM]FRF91 AOSP Fission

I am so surprised nobody has not yet mentioned this rom yet. I've been following it closely through the night and it blows away all other roms when it comes to speed and responsiveness. Here is all necessary information, links install instructions-
Original Post, Details, and Download URL
Updated Fission RC1 10/15
AngDroid
Drod2169 & Matt4542
Present
Vanilla Android For Your Droid X
First Public Preview Beta
I wanted to port the ROM to DX so here it is. Drod2169 and myself ported the ROM and he did the testing since I do not have a DX. I would very much like one so I can continue this project so if you would like to donate to project you may do so by clicking HERE.
I want to thank Drod2169 very much for doing this with me. It was a pleasure working with you and good luck!
All 3 of us created this together and it will turn in to Drod's rubiX ROM and hope he stays with the Fission team
This is the first preview build so expect some bugs. Please post all bugs in the thread in a clear manner so we can get them resolved quickly.
Themers, do not create themes for this ROM yet since it will go many changes until final release. 99% of the packages are Vanilla Android builds so most of your themed APK files will work. I suggest to wait until we get to final release before you start. The basic stuff should remain the same and we will update a list of packages that will change so you can get your themes ready.
Users, DO NOT use ANY themes yet.
You MUST follow all install instructions.
BACKUP your phone using Bootstrap before installing any ROMs so you can go back to your current setup if anything fails.
Install Instructions!
Pre-Installation Tasks:
Before you install this ROM or any ROM you will need to have root and have Bootstrap on your phone. You can find out how to do all that HERE.
BACKUP your phone using Bootstrap before installing any ROMs so you can go back to your current setup if anything fails. Notice I said that TWICE
Download and place ROM on SD Card
Open Bootstrap and tap Bootstrap Recovery
Reboot into Recovery
Create Backup
Mount System
Wipe Cache -You may choose not to wipe but MAY have problems
Wipe Data - You may choose not to wipe but MAY have problems
Mount System and Data - Yes double check that both are MOUNTED (Reads UNMOUNT when MOUNTED)
Install Zip From SD Card
Choose Zip From SD Card
Select your ROM
Yes - Install
Wipe Cache Again - You may choose not to wipe but MAY have problems
Wipe Data Again - You may choose not to wipe but MAY have problems
Reboot
Enjoy!
If you do not follow all instructions, have some problems then install everything again following the instructions. Do not post about problmes if you have not followed the instructions.
Enjoy everyone!

I think I'll wait for the next release to fix the bugs they've found but it looks really promising and I can't wait to try it.
@gimp you just stated this morning that rubix will never be blurless because they base their work off the OTA.....
Notice in that thread that this rom WILL BE LABELED AS RUBIX.
it also states it is completely blurless.
Sh#$ changes every minute, shouldnt ever say something cannot be. Odds are there is always a way it can.

RubiX rom is done by Drod2169, Fission came out by AngDroid. AngDroid handed it over to Drod2169 to turn into RubiX, cause RubiX was trying be a AOSP.
Not sure if it makes sense. AngDroid need Droid X testers and Drod2169 took over testing for it. Basically working with the Fission team. Fission is basically for Droid 2. Fission for X will be new RubiX, I believe. somebody correct me if i'm wrong.

I mentioned that i was unsure how it could be aosp as it was still based on the ota. That post was of course made before i read that the rom would be rebased. This is still not a complete aosp build as the bits that cannot be changed due to the locked down bootloader such as the kernel will remain ota based. This is still a remarkable acheivment. Forgive grammatical errors, on droid getting my haircut.
On this rom, If I text over 160 chars, every other letter shows up as a ? mark. lmao, kinda funny. Looks like this...
H?e?y? B?u?d?d?y? W?h?a?t?s U?p?

I'm with ya on that. Seems like there are a few minor bugs and I'm happy with ApeX right meow so I'm sticking with that for the time being. As soon as the calendar gets fixed on this, I'll probably be loading it up and giving it a shot. I think an update is coming up so I'll see how it goes then.
Thanks gimpeh! I totally missed this one but will give it a try tonight.
From drod2169's updated post a little earlier today...
Known bugs so far:
Dialer looks weird with incoming calls
Facebook contact package not installed
Calendar (fixed, update tonight)
Lock screen tabs off center
Camera res
3D Gallery no hdmi out
Stock lockscreen tabs (fixed, update tonight)
I took the plunge and installed the rom finally. Pretty damn good and surprisingly blur-less. Not a hint of framework. Color me surprised.
was the update released?
Update hasn't been released yet....
But it fixes most all the issues and is stable and fast...been testing it all day and is great..
This being an frf91 rom will that open up more theme options?

Been running the unpatched beta since last night, installed all my apps and Blackmodz Returns to get rid of the white status bar (ugh), and it's pretty amazing stuff. Over 250MB available memory when first booted. Under applications/running services shows Other: 50MB in 3.... Avail: 251MB + 86MB in 22. Nice!
Loaded this yesterday wickedly fast snappy and responsive as hell love it

[ROM] GothicKangedFroyo Based somewhat on JK2 *11/10/10*

Here it is again. The one and only GothicKangedFroyo ROM! I have implemented a couple changes from the first version of the ROM. The basics are the same, but the framework is different. The framework mods that I did are only the start of them, the more I learn about how to edit the framework the more changes I will do. I warn you I am teaching myself how to modify the framework, but don't worry the only things I will post here are going to be ones that I know will boot up when flashed and won't soft-brick your device.
Features
Based on Eugene's MacNut_R10
Supports bootanimation.zip
Working WiFi Calling - Sometimes it hanges when starting so may or may not be fully working
Working GPS
Touchwiz removed expect for Dailer and Contacts
Multitouch Keyboard
HTC_IME Keyboard (themed)
ADW Launcher
Launcher Pro
Launcher2
Custom Framework (semi-complete if anyone would like to help drop me a line)

How to Flash my ROM coming from Voodoo
Actually this is fairly simple, but I will explain it. Create a blank file using a text editor and titled it disable-lagfix, remember you have to have it completely blank nothing in there for this to work.
After you have finished that delete the extension from the file and place it on your internal SD Card in the folder entitled Voodoo.
Reboot Your phone, and you should hear the little voice on boot that explains that voodoo is being disabled.
After Voodoo is disabled flash away.
This ROM does not include the Overclocked Kernel, but you can easily flash it over from Eugene's thread. The purpose of this ROM was to kang different things that I liked from other ROMs so don't hate the fact that somethings are the same as other Froyo ROMs out there.
I will give credit where credit is due though, Eugene for providing an amazing base for Froyo ROM development, Cyanogen just goes without saying, GamerCore for the idea of including the MIUI Browser, and Vazguard for the Fluxed Theme. Anyone that I may of missed I am sorry, but thank you none the less.
Many many props goes out to my beta team,

DISCLAIMER: I ASSUME NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR BRICKING OF YOUR DEVICE WHEN FLASHING MY ROM! IF YOU HAPPEN TO BRICK YOUR DEVICE WHILE FLASHING MY ROM BECAUSE YOU MAY OF FORGOTTEN TO DISABLE VOODOO LAGFIX DO A SEARCH OF THE FORUMS AND THEN YOU WILL FIND YOUR ANSWER. IF BY CHANCE YOUR NAME IS MICHAEL ANGELES AND THAT IS YOUR THING TO COMPLETELY BRICK VIBRANTS ALL THE TIME, THEN I CAN DO NOTHING FOR YOU EXCEPT SIT BACK AND LAUGH. Gothdroid got a few questions for you:
1. in both of eugenes roms and simbionix's roms i see a couple common problems people are having: gps, data, internal or sd card problems; since this is based of eugenes, are you having the same problems? anyother problems?
2. does this wipe internal sd if coming from 2.1?
3. do we flash from clockwork recovery (not odin correct)?
4. anything else we need to know about flashing this or setting it up?

To download from 4shared on your phone switch the web page to classic view and make sure ROM Manager is installed.
If you have problems, open astro. Go 2 pref. is an option 2 check that says allow all downloads in browser, check that. You will then be able to download from 4shared. This looks awesome dl'ng now........ Thnc

In my beta tests of the Rom, I hadn't noticed those types of issues, has been running smoothly for me so far...
I hadn't seen any issues with data loss coming from 2.1, but that seems to happen randomly, so backup just to be safe.
And yes It's a clockwork flash.
I generally, with roms on the vibby, let it sit for about ten min after first boot without touching anything, then reboot before using.
Has run great for me so far.

Thanks for the tip, nit the astro changed nothing for me. Ill wait.

are blurry mms issues fixed in this rom? thats a REALLY nice theme!
I haven't noticed the blurry MMS, but then again I compiled the MMS from CM6 source, and direct download link through MegaUpload is coming as soon as its done check OP shortly
Is there any way to put the circle battery indicator from macnut 10 on this rom?

Which themes for FroydVillain 1.7.3?

Hey All,
Recently flashed froydvillain 1.7.3 and wanted to install a new theme but cant find many to choose from and some of the ones I found, the DL links were dead.
Will all CM6.1 based themes work on this ROM?
I like the Kalagas Mixed Theme for FroydVillain 1.7.3 theme but cant find a working link anywhere.
Thank you for your help and apologies if this has been asked before
http://www.villainrom.co.uk/forum/s...E-Kalagas-Facelift-1.0-for-FroydVillain-1.7.x
mixed kalagas theme.... links are working for me. but since that one is there i have removed the first version from my dropbox public folder... I do still have it, but the facelift is much cleaner.
Neither me or lvlacleod made the original but we both ported it to FV 1.7

Thank you very much mattyyey,
I downloaded the facelift one but thought I need the mixed theme flashed first to get the full theme.
tried the link for the mixed theme in Chrome and it wouldnt work but in IE (which I hate) its working??
Appreciate the help!
Update:
Flashed each separately after wipe of Dalvik cache and cache each time.
Mixed, went into constant reboot so I ended up doing a nandroid restore.
Facelift came back with FC's after dalvik cache and cache
Maybe its because I am running Froyd1.7.3-R2-signed?
Anyway, it was worth a try.
I'm curious, why do you erase dalvik cache on a theme flash? for froyd there are only a few theme and they are ported from other rom's (you will found them on villainrom website). so it will be hard to find themes for froyd 1.7.3. and even if you will want to flash another one from a 2.3 android version you will maybe end up in a boot loop.

Heya, I wiped dalvik cache as that was advised when flashing kalagas theme as per the instructions on villainrom site.
not really sure why I ended up in boot loop as I did everything correctly and the theme stated it was for FroydVillain 1.7.x. Maybe it just wouldnt work with whatever changes have been made to R2.
I will stick with what I have for now as I love the rom and the speed and stability.
the mixed theme ported by me is not designed for 1.7.3 r2 (not tried it) it was intended for 1.7.3 only and as it was given a face lift i expected it wouldn't need maintaining. I havn't looked at 1.7.3r2 at all! as I'm SOOOOoooo SOOOoooo happy with elelinux's gingy rom! Its my daily ROM! so much so I have stopped flashing all the time - and even my theming doesn't require a flash anymore thanks to the t-mobile engine!
I did kinda expect the facelist to be maintained tho.... O and the link for mine probably re appeared because I undeleted it in dropbox lol
If you really bothered go ask on the VR forums - I'm sure sum1 will fix it 4 ya... maybe even me if I'm bored XD
EDIT: posted by pulsar (g2):
Yes, that's unfortunately what will happen. Themes need to be re-based against this ROM now It's essential though unfortunately that people update.

Normal Disclaimer... although its highly unlikely that anything will go wrong, I'm not responsible for anything that does.
This is a theme port of the Myn's Warm 2.2 Rom for the Thunderbolt Synergy. Works great for me. We're Getting Close! The only things I really have left are a couple other minor graphical tweaks. Thanks to everyone for putting up with my slow updates.
Instructions:
1. Boot into recovery
2. Wipe everything
3. Flash Synergy Rom
4. Let phone boot up
5. Go through initial set-up of device
6. Go grab a beer
7. Reboot into recovery
8. Flash theme
9. Enjoy
For current Synergy users... skip steps 1-5 lol
Future Plans:
- Remove blue from dialer. For some reason, I couldn't find it...
- Some graphical tweaks.
Get it while it's Warm

This is a theme port of the Myn's Warm 2.2 Rom for the Thunderbolt (8/30) Synergy Build. Works great for me. Note this is a WIP theme so its not complete. I couldn't quite figure out how to work the transparent noti-bar. Anyone who wants to take over can, otherwise this will have slow progression. Just PM me if your taking over the project, that way I know. Let me know of any bugs you find. Fair warning, boot time is slow for some reason. At least it was on my first boot. Stock Synergy wallpaper is also attached below.

Great job. Haven't flashed yet but intend to. Is there a way though to get the Synergy status bar on this? I'm not a fan of AOSP and the green, to me, doesn't go with the whole "warm" theme. I know you just ported this but wasn't sure how much you know.
I just flashed it and rebooted...but it didn't make any changes. Which is strange. Did it twice, too.

Hmm. Let me look. I'll be right with ya. May have uploaded the wrong one.
edit: did recovery say it completed successfully? if so, did it take a little bit to flash or was it pretty quick? zip file looks good... wonder if its a meta-inf issue.
And you are on the 8/30 build right?

Did you try a clean install? And are you on the 8/30 build? Also, did you try downloading it from a computer and then moving it to your memory card? Could be a download issue from a mobile browser.

I'm having the same issue. I'm on a clean version of 8/30 and when I flash it nothing seems to change. I downloaded it from a browser so the file should be ok. Everything seems to go fine in recovery (I'm using the Team Win Recovery). I can't wait to have this working!

This makes me happy seeing someone else trying to dev for this phone. anyone got any good resources on learning to cook for android. Ive found info on writing apps but not the roms themselves.
Urabewe I would love to help you in any way possible. Beta, theming, and once i figure it out kernel work. PM me...
First Post updated with Franlov Kernel version, stock version coming up.
My main project:
Spring Water Froyo Source Project
Building Froyo from source with LG source code which will get around any ATT crap that they did. Plus, it seems that a lot of what LG did actually isn't in the source because building from source you get none of the LG based apps, you get Launcher instead of LGHome etc. I have already gotten a successful build, it's just a matter of getting it to boot because they only supply the open source elements, I have to put the drivers/firmware and other things in there that are proprietary and not provided. Once I can get it booted I can start editing the actual source code. Plus, getting away from the stock ROM will be nice.
Everything I learn I am going to put into the GB update once we get that. I am hoping to get a full stable working from source Froyo build BEFORE the GB update if I don't, then all focus will be diverted to GB instead and I will work on getting a stable version of that.
Great job guys!!! Looks very nice. Looks like I know what I'll be doing tonight.......some well overdue flashing.

I can honestly say that the best tutorial I had was trial and error. I never really looked at any tutorials.
If you go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1167623
This is a tool that will help you A LOT in editing, decompiling, compiling and a lot of other things. It will get you to the point to where you can edit, it won't edit anything for you though. You might need a few tutorials on that one
I will shoot you a PM here soon, busy right now well posting, uploading and I STILL haven't gotten back to my source build, it's just sitting there... all lonely... neglected... poor poor thing...
Both versions now up, there may be an update sometime tomorrow and working on yet ANOTHER surprise for everyone. Keep your eyes posted you never know when a new release, update or apk will be uploaded.
OK, time for a bit of a break then dive into Spring Water project. I hope everyone enjoys having at least a small amount of variety now and I plan on keeping things fresh as much as I possibly can.
Oops accidental double post... triple... I dunno, sorry
Just flashed, booting up now and greeted with a pretty cool boot animation. I like it already. Keepin' me on my toes.
Found a minor bug already. When you use the android keyboard, there is black on black text when you press the keyboard button, it doesn't show the letter you pressed.
Thanks for posting, noticed that too, there are a few things that still need to be finished up tell you the truth. Just felt it was ready for beta since it was pretty stable.
BTW gr8danes which did you flash stock kernel or franlov?
Can the franlov kernel be OC'ed?

Put some info and a link to where the kernel came from in first post. I was up basically all night last night messing around with stuff got a few hours sleep then started again. Just to build froyo it took about 2 hours on my laptop which is all I have, the first time it didn't build correctly so had to do again second time finished completely. So that was about 5-6 hours just compiling and what not. I will post more info and everything tomorrow along with an update thanks to trek who is fixing the black on black keyboard problem and adding some eye candy. I will probably slim down the rom a lot of stuff isn't needed. Hope to have more for everyone soon. Right now, Im calling it an early night and getting some sleep.
