so i was trying to revert back to the stock SPL, and i downloaded Restore-SPL-1.15, and i opened it up and renamed the file to BLACIMG and placed it on the storage card and flashed it and now, the phone loads in bootloader mode and says error and is stuck on the loading... screen i think i really ****ed myself over... can any of you guys give me some advice on what to do?
As far as I know, you must flash stock ROM before going back to the stock SPL. Your problem is probably caused by having stock SPL with non-stock ROM.
Somebody with more experience might offer a better solution, but I would suggest you to read about USPL, I believe USPL is the cure for your problem, read about the details.
So have you successfully flashed the stock SPL? If so, try flashing a stock rom now, use the SD card method (blacimg in root storage card + hold vol up/down and power), if this works then its what vizier said, you can not run a non-stock rom on a stock SPL (without USPL). But then you will be able to continue flashing .
i took out the SD card and put the stock 1.56 rom and flashed it and everything is fine now, im running the stock 1.56 rom and SPL 1.54 whhheeeewwww

i have the same problem and if i open my hd with power button it goes automaticly to bootloader. it shows :

Looks like you have upgraded your SPL to 1.54. This is ok. You can now install any 1.56 based rom whether it is the stock HTC rom or a cooked rom. If you are wanting to install a cooked rom you will need to run USPL before flashing it. Read the guide in my signature for more information. It covers this step-by-step

look when i open uspl its ok
but when it begins with flashin after 1 second the hd goes black
and than comes this screen again
i am trying to flash the L26 rom v2.1 but its not working
i had changed the name of the rom from RUU_signed.ngh to BLACIMG.ngh
and put that in the storage card. i always did it like this but i had used uspl for the first time. do you think that if i use a other rom like dutty 2.9 on the storage card with uspl it work? or is there something wrong with the uspl of how i use it.
when i get to the uspl it asks me of i want to flash my rom
normaly when i flash a rom i only see:

but now i see:

BOOTLOADER: ..

It's actually quite hard to flash a rom from the SD card when using SPL... you have to remove and insert the SD card at appropriate times... I would recommend doing it over USB as also suggested by many others.
Have you tried loading said rom over USB when phone is in bootloader and USPL is loaded?

Morning all,
I think I've done the same thing. I have stock SPL and a non-stock ROM... I'm on SPL 1.14... I'm a bit stuck because nothing will seem to load on to via USB...
I tried running "RUU_BlackStone_HTC_WWE_1.14.405.3_Radio_52.49a.25.26_1.09.25.14_Ship.exe", but the phone simply reboots to the bootloader, the bottom text changes to 'USB', but it goes no further. It eventually shows Error 262 (comms error).
Any ideas?

EDIT: Managed to resolve this by using USPL to put back HardSPL by OliNex

Hardspl would be just fine, but if you want to walk that dangerous line you could load the "danger" spl. Having the new spl will free up more space on your phone and allow you to install a hero rom if your ever wanting to try. If you do decide to go with the spl just read and reread. Make sure to have the new radio installed first then flash the new spl. It would help to have whatever rom you want to use loaded on the sd card to cause the new spl will overwrite your existing rom so you would have to load the new one.
Well i think with Haykuro's Spl, he reduced the space occupied by the cache partiiton which stores any rom u get in the over the air updates. So in turn since u've rooted ur phone n dont need tht partition, its gud to b able to use some of tht space as Rom.
Hard SPL for starters. Once you know more - then you can update to Danger.

Danger all the way, just to say you survived it
Flashing to Danger SPL isn't rocket science. If you have the PVT board, then you're good to go. Just flash the latest radio first, reboot, flash the new SPL, reboot and get stuck at the Tmobile G1 screen, hit Call+Menu+Back and immediately hold the Home key to return to Recovery, and flash any ROM. Done.

Sup im just curious does anyone understand this and kno how to fix it i cant seem to fix it every rom i use its the same thing i tryed diffrent swap sizes and diffrent swappiness numbers i have no idea whats going on i been dealing with this for a month+ now and i dont wanna go back to stock or unrooting my phone. My phone just freeze/coma/hang when i get these errors most of the time it just freeze wont respond or it just coma's if i leave it alone for a lil while than to get the phone to boot up again in both of these situations i have to pull the battery out and atm im useing MLIGN v1.1 my SD and my phone goes as follows

But i also got a new trasncend 4 gig class 6 micro sdhc and it still happens but its funny cause when i use my 1 Gig Transcend card Micro SD card(no class,partitions but fat32 and no ext2/3 or linux-swap) it doesnt freeze EVER on cyanogen it runs as smooth as a baby's ass never crash's i can listen to music and try to stress it but it NEVER freeze/coma/hang ever so i dont kno if my stuff is wrong up there and i have tryed diffrent swap size's also and my phone freeze's with drizzy hero v1.5.5,cyanogen 4.0.4/4.1.11.1 and this MLIGN v1.1 when i have the partitions and i have also tryed the format Dalvik-cache thing but that doesn't help i tryed the format ext3 thing wipe flash and vise versa i tryed alot of combo's so ill put up the MLIGN v1.1 Catlogs i have and if you need more info just let me kno ill answer any question reguarding this post my phone and my sdcard so yea ask away and btw thx for reading this and thx in advance for the help o yea and also

You have multiple errors, some of which reflashing the ROM won't fix. I suggest rerooting because flashing the RC29 DREAIMG.nbh file will completely clean the entire filesystem.
ok so i have to reroot but are u sure the new radio and SPL wont do nething or the new recovery wont mess anything up? and send me a thread that you think is good to follow and ill get to work on that RITE now and also the .nbh file would i have to flash that in the spl again rite? and are u sure the new spl with this old file wont mess nething up thx : )

Then use THIS guide. You will have to substitute the cyanogen ROM because his file server is down.
ok so follow this guide flash the G1OrigBootloader_nocheck and i can skip the radio and the recovery v1.4 rite? cause they are alrdy on my phone
you know on second thought just flash the spl and then the DREAIMG.img from step 1 of the guide, wait for tmo to send updates and enjoy your unrooted phone because you obviously don't have what it takes to have a rooted phone.
lol i alrdy did it and btw i didnt kno when you flash the "RC29 DREAIMG.nbh" it brings everything back includeing your Radio and your Recovery i didnt kno so you could had just said that but w/e

i was having some odd issues i downgrade to rc 29 hand another issue come up then upgraded from rc 29 to stock cupcake then back to xrom. i tryed everything i could think of it some how worked out also flash back to rc29 with a swap portion that might be the issue.
ok umm i formated my sd card before i did nething wiped and did everything from there and uhh i dont understand what u mean when you say you went from rc29 to stock cupcake to xrom unless xrom doesnt need a rooted phone im guessing i dont kno explain it to me cause i could try that but rite now im running

What's the difference bewtween hard spl and haykuros special spl somehow I like hykuros better but I don't really know the difference and you think I can use haykuros spl instead of the hard spl while following that guide?
Haykuros SPL repartitions the phone so the System and Data partitions are both ~90mb
The bigger partition allows you to install bigger roms such as Hero
However, the HaykuroSPL has a high chance of bricking your phone permanently if you dont know what your doing....
The most important thing is to flash the 26I radio before the SPL
However, you can install the HardSPL now and install the HaykuroSPL when you feel your read

The death spl is the saphires spl. People load it on the g1's to be able to load a hero rom because the hero roms are bigger needing more space. When you load it on the phone it resizes the partitions to make more space. Thats the reason why you have to flash a rom right after the spl because it overwrites the existing rom. If I were you I would load hard spl first to get the hang of everything then try the danger spl. Many people have bricked there phone due to that spl, but if you do try it don't take any shortcuts and read read read.
What to do,what to do?
Well...I would advise you follow a tutorial or go to youtube and follow a video or video's on how to root and all that happy horsecrap.That's how I did it my first time. I watched videos,watched how others did it and then copied what they did on my phone. I successfully came out of it rooted,with the updated radio,Haykuro's SPL, and a Hero ROM that I could depend on at that time.Since then I have flashed so many different ROM's I can't even count all of them anymore. I would definitely root the phone first though. Possibly call T-MO and ask them for an unlock code for the phone as well as that will let you travel overseas with the phone and use it on other carriers too. Rooting is the way to go with the G1 nowadays. A whole new world opens up to you once the phone is rooted! Anyways...good luck at your beginning and keep up the work. If you end up bricking your phone,call T-MO and tell em one of their updates bricked your phone and you want a new one. Take it slow and do things right though man!
Hi i have big problém. At first i created goldcard, rooted this G1 and i install AmonRa recovery.
in AmonRa i updated radio to 2.22.19.26i, next i changed the SPL to dangerSPL - ( Hboot - 1.33.2005(drea11000)).
now i tried to flash cyanomod 6.1 and it doesnt work,. So i tried gingerbread (2,3.7 android) and it run.
but i tried to use newer radio - 2.22.28.25 and more .zip file for 4.04. icecream(android).
it run but too slow, i wanted to use old 2,3,7. so I installed it, but some app like Gallery dont work... it dont response..
so i tried to flash old radio 2.22.19.26i, but it end with error ( on Picture).
so i tried so many ROM, so many kernels, but only 2,3,7 can run.. i tried at least 5 roms with kernels... im sad from it,..
only 2,3,7 run.. but with broken gallery, and HTC is so slow., Gapps dont work, almost of all app from market dont response, browser is slow.. and all ist slowest than i tried 4,0,3 android,.. im sad please reply.
