Hi.
I heard the 2.2 upgrade was finally out via kies, so in my infinite wisdom I downloaded kies, reverted back to the stock launcher in order to make it connect (thanks xda! =p) to my computer in kies mode, and clicked "upgrade firmware".
The update process went smoothly, and when it was done, my phone reset itself, as it should.
When it turned itself back on, it started vibrating in a pulse sort of manner. The "enter pin" screen is working, so I enter my pin, and then I'm greeted by an error message, or rather, I'm spammed by error messages:
"The application My uploads (process com.google.android.apps.uploader) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
"The process android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
"The application Daily briefing (process com.sec.android.widgetapp.infoalarm) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
I am only presented with the option "Force close". When I do this, new error messages reading the exact same as the above ones keep popping up.
The only non-kosher app I had installed was the One Click Lagfix by RyanZA (or something like that). Except from that, I was running stock android 2.1 before upgrading.
I've got no idea what to do about this. It won't connect to kies, and I can't do anything at all on the phone.. I see the "first startup setup" thing in the background behind the errors, but I can't click anything because of the error spam.
In hindsight, I should've probably uninstalled the lagfix.. I'm fairly new to this game, it didn't even occur to me that I should've factory reset the phone (?) before upgrading firmware.
I feel like an idiot now, and my phone isn't working.
Please, is there anyone that can help me with this? >_< I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong section / if I should've posted it in the 2.2 thread. This is my first time posting here.

Okay, five minutes after posting this I managed to fix it myself.
Fixed it by going into 3 button recovery mode (power phone off -> hold home screen and volume up button while powering on) and formatting internal SD card as well as doing a factory reset. After that, my phone is now working like a charm again. (phew, this almost gave me a heart attack!!)
PS:
I figure if I'm stupid enough to #ยค%&/ up my phone like this, someone else might also be.

I am having a problem with my Hero. I just bought 2 of them a month ago. One for me, one for my wife. My wife is lucky and has had no problems. I on the other hand keep having two problems over and over again.
1. After installing applications I cannot manage them through menu<Settings<Applications<Manage applications because I get this message: The application Settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
2. Every time I go to use the Gmail App I get this message: The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly. Please Try again.
I didn't have a problem with either of these the first two weeks. But in the past two weeks its been crazy. I've done to hard resets, and a manual RUU update because after speaking with Sprints "advanced" technical unit that is what I was advised to do. I'm still having the same problem. What can I do?

Well, I got the Gmail App fixed...I think. After giving up on finding a way to fix it myself I decided to go through my inbox on my desktop and do some cleaning. When I went back and tried it again on my Hero it was working. Apparently there was something about my inbox that it had not liked at all?
As for the other problem, any time that I tap menu<Settings<Applications<Manage applications it starts to load and freezes. This leaves me with no way to clear my data caches for programs.

When it freezes does it give you the option to Force Close or Wait?
And what happens when you press menu?
It only gave me the option to force close. I had a theory it was an app causing the problem so I started uninstalling and reinstalling each app I had installed. As it turns out, as soon as I got rid of UPS mobile I now have access again. Oh well, it wasn't that great of an app anyway.

I upgraded to froyo via Kies then all hell broke loose.
On first reboot after installation..a "new user menu" comes up asking for the user's preferences, once that pops up I start getting the following force close loops one after the other, force close one...another pops up:
The application logs provider
Gmail something
Media something
And keeps going on and on.
Decided to do a factory reset, since everything is backed up by google, did 3br clicked on factory reset...phone gets into "Downloading, do not turn off targett!!!" screen....I let it sit there for 30 minutes, no action. So disconnected the battery.
Booted normally, same issue as above.
Then decided 3br, and the "downloading" screen immediately came up after reboot without giving me the options of recovery mode.
So now, my phone boots into two forms only, and gets stuck there:
1. force close loop on user data entry page
2. with 3br, phone gets stuck on "Downloading' screen.
Any solutions for a non-developer like me?
FYI, running ryanZa one-lick lagfix. So phone is rooted.
Help...really need my phone back
Its easy!!! go to app manager and clear data!
Did you undo lagfix before updating ??.

I recently flashed to Axura 2.5.1 yesterday and everything went smoothly...however today I pressed the voicemail button on the dialer and I have been getting this message:
Sorry!
The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
Then I press the force close button but the message keeps popping up. Also, the phone vibrates every time before that message pops up and I get an "Auto-Update of Time and Date" message. I searched the threads and even followed some of the things that people to suggested (they issues weren't exactly the same) but I have had no luck so far. I am a newb so I'm not exactly sure to fix this. But Ive decided to flash 2.4 and see if that helps. Is there anything else I could do just in case this happens again. Any suggestions would be greatly apprecciated. Thanks!!
Sometimes when issues pop up the best solution its back to stock, reflash

My milestone is acting up. All of a sudden in the past 30min or so when I try to open my home screen from the lock menu it tells me android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly, please try again. If I hit force close, the screen blacks out and then comes back, and the same thing happens all over again. None of my apps are on screen, I can't open the library. The only thing I can do is access the notifications bar, and I can respond to texts at least, that's all I've had a chance to try to do. I'm really frustrated especially seeing as how the fixes I've come across all have to do with master resets, which would be fine, if I could get to the freaking applications and settings. I'm desperate for some insight into the issue and how I can fix it.
So if I get it wright the phone is not rooted. But I think you can master reset/ wipe all data from recovery. Search milestone enter recovery on Google.

Correct, not rooted, nothing special has been done to it. I've tried to get it into recovery mode, I should've mentioned that but neglected to, but it didn't work. :'(
There's 2 ways to enter recovery depending on the bootloader version if you didn't manage to enter.
Second try flashing again the sbf from moto, that should master reset it.
There is a sticky in milestone development. Try there.

Last night my Tab started acting all weird. The camera stopped working. The camera screen loads up but there is no picture. I couldn't figure out what was up so decided to do a factory reset. When it rebooted I got presented with the setup screen where you select English United Kingdom and then get error messages saying:
The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please Try again FORCE CLOSE.
&
The application factory test (process com.sec.android.app.factory test) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
If I click force close then I am back to the start and Language select screen but pressing Start Button does nothing.
My Tab was running totally stock but was rooted so I could use whatsapp.
Until there is an ICS rom out with working camera I would like to leave it stock. Does anyone know how I can get it working again??
Any help would be very much appreciated.
