Why are there so many themes for the Vibrant but hardly any for the Captivate? Can we use some of these on ours? Personally i would love to see more if i knew how to make them i would try, but thats a no go lol... any ideas about this?

....is it possible to use Metamorphs from other devices with the Captivate, or does one have to wait for people to start doing more development specifically for the Captivate? ive been digging into all the customizations lately, and was just wondering, because if i read correct, the N1 has the same resolution, and was wondering if i should start digging over there through their customizations.

No, in the sense that they may function on different "frameworks", and theming methods.
But yes, it CAN be ported, where the images to be obtained.
yes most morphs will work... Its the framework-res and the twframework-res mostly that will give you trouble... If you were to flash the twlauncher morph from the vibrant thread you would probably be ok... I just posted a settings morph in the vibrant section and it should also be fine...
Metamorph looks for the app and then file names.. If its got a diff name or location it wont work...
Yeah several will work between the Captivate and Vibrant. I am running two or three morph's right now. The biggest concern is superuser. Any superuser over v2 seems to not allow the morph's to run.
Does anyone know how to port this over for the Captivate. I would and I am sure hosts of other people would love it on the Captivate.

Nope, doesn't work on my Captivate. I did see that thread initially when searching for this.
I made an app for easy access to the service menu's on the Galaxy S. I made it on the Vibrant so if anyone is willing to try it on the Fascinate when they get one and leave me some feed back it would be much appreciated.

Sorry doesn't work on fascinate. I think it has to do with the epic and fascinate being cdma. Great work looks like a great app as I'm sure it is on the fascinates gsm cousins.
I have been trying to figure out the codes. Ive searched through hiddenmenu.apk and im trying to figure out how to decompile/deodex hiddenmenu.odex
Do any of you themers know if it's possible to put the Vibrant style 3d-ish menus on a Captivate Rom and if so, what files need to be changed. I'll post a pic of what I'm talking about. Thanks for any help given.

All that is is a theme, they are not really 3d. Check out the darkness theme if i remember right
I know its not 3d and it's not just a theme someone made, it's how the vibrant roms come stock. Captivate roms use matte panels.

Well I am glad they came that way but there are themes floating around that look just like that. I ran one awhile back that had the menus like that. Do a search for glossy black. Have a look here.

Lol wow, you aren't understanding me. I don't need a link to a Vibrant custom theme. The stock Vibrant Rom has what I need. What I'm asking is if the people who make themes out here know what files I need to replace in my Captivate framework to make it look like this.

No I am understanding you, I am leading you to what you want to know, Most of the time it is not as simple as replacing one or 2 files, there are XML edits that might need to be done. Plus it depends on what rom you are running for not all the framework files are the same. The reason I linked you to it was so you could find your answer from someone that has made the theme and can point you in the right direction. Might not want to be so rude when asking for help. I will go back to my theming of the captivate dialer now. good luck to you

If imnuts gets reboot options squared away ill update the continuum gingerbread theme with them...but its tough to work on themes/mode for devices you don't have
I would consider doing another theme for it but like 10 downloads of the one I did didn't exactly justify doing much else for the time being
lol thats the problem nits chicken and egg syndrome ... nobody flocks to download anything cuz there isnt much to flash
there is only 1 rom out, and its a bit buggy yet.. im actually going to post the bugs in adryns rom thread there today..
my humble opinon is the more there is to flash, the more downloads there will be
i also have reservations downloading for the wife's continuum since there doesnt seem to be a full stock odin to fix a borked install...i saw one that said close to full...

Member of Android Anonymous, as a recovering Android bricking addict. I have been brick free for over 30 days.
Makes sense I suppose....im happy to work on theme stuff for the continuum if people use it...but its matter of is it worth the time....
Make stuff for 10 people on the i400 or a few hundred on the i500...ill see how things go before deciding on making anything else
I will help out with themes for the continuum when the continuum clean gets finished up. I do not have the device to theme on either so I am in the same boat as nitsuj17 as far as testing is concerned.
