DeskClock.apk For Sense UI. - Hero CDMA Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I seem to remember that there was a modified version of the DeskClock.apk floating around for use with the Sense UI. What I mean by modified is that all 4 buttons on the bottom were functional.
Anyone have a link?
Thanks.

I also would like this! for some reason, my desire Z port didn't have it included

Eclair lockscreen on Hero ROM

I would like to work on this maybe for a theme or a replacement for Hero's lockscreen. But first I wanted to know if it is even possible due to different ROMs and all. Any suggestions is appreciated.
well on hero if you look inside lockscreen.apk is a app think the same goes for droid. If you switch the files it wont work because frmeworks are diff and 2.0 aoos cant work on 1.5 builds excluding some.

In hero there is a lockscreen app to provide the image background and overlay support. com.htc.framework then provides the drawables for the bar overlay. In droid, the lockscreen is provided by xml and drawable values in the framework-res and supporting java frameworks, similar to how stericson did his lockscreen. They are two completely different concepts and isolating the values of either do not work as you are looking at sdk 5 versus sdk 3

AOSP 2.0 rom modding help needed

I love the AOSP build, but I'd like to change some of it...
Is it possible to get the sense keyboard on it (I HATE the vanilla one)?
And how do I remove the background on the lockscreen?
thanks for any help!

I believe to do much of this you need to modify the source. For the Sense keyboard you need the HTC frameworks which essentially makes the system an HTC Sense system anyway. I know back in the day Cyanogen released an HTC_IME.apk that would work standalone but I never got it to work on AOSP.
For the lockscreen, I believe this is part of the AOSP source as well but someone will need to confirm that for me.

I figured that much. I just don't know what .apk's to push. I flashed the signed IME from that new thread about stock Rosie, but it did nothing
I figure the lockscreen is just an image somewhere that I need to edit. I know the 2.1 build has a clear vanilla lock.
What don't you like about the keyboard? I think its just as good as the HTC one. Once you get the dictionary working properly that is. I posted up a thread just the other day on predictive text. Flips sent a link where you can get an updated IME file. Check it out. If you're still not happy, check out better keyboard apk from the market.

the layout is WAY off. and, the lack of a 'keyboard close' button, i cannot stand. plus, with the HTC one, i don't have to hit a button to get to my punctuation...
i've flashed the IME and that helped (i'm glad he had all the curse words. lol) but i'm still against the general layout...
i'm in love with the AOSP because its so minimal on the system memory that it makes my phone quick as lightning. i just want a clear lock screen and the Rosie keyboard...

Rosie.apk will not work on Droid X. Rosie.apk needs and depends on many frameworks and classes in the HTC Framework... so I don't know what types of tweaks were done to it... but for it to work on the X... it had to be MAJOR and I strongly doubt it.
any way i could mimic it? because the only Feature i really Want is the Scenes Feature. I already have Launcher Pro plus with the Sense UI themed Dock and invisible icons And have Widget Locker to mock the Sense Lock Screen i like the look of sense And i really like the Scenes Feature Is there any Possible Way ?

not really. sense for the D1 was never even finished so I doubt it'll happen on the X. What's so special about Scenes? You basically have two options...go buy an incredible or theme the X as much as possible to look like sense. I'd go with the latter.

[Q] HTC Sense dock and status bar on CM7?

Im running CM7 and i love it for the speed but i'm not a fan of the dock or status bar, as a previous user on Sense on my HTC Wildfire i loved the UI and really want the dock bar and status bar on CM7. (note i'm not bothered about having any of the icon pictures changed).
1) If there is a mod to install that is cool with me and id slightly prefer it than a theme because from my understanding themes are less than perfect.
2) If i have to have a whole theme (i imagine i will) i'd prefer it to be for ADW but launcher pro is also fine. Take note the status bar and dock must be included and work, i don't care if the icons have been changed to the HTC icons or not.
Thank you in advance!
(Ps. Before someone comes along and says have you tried searching the answer is yes however, I only found poor themes without dock bar. Also i am very busy currently so didn't have a lot of time to look in fact i barely had time to write this out. Anyway sorry if this is a easy thing to find but iv'e told you why i havn't found it).
You could try LP sense UI. It looks just like sense dockbar. It is a launcher pro theme. Just look for it on 4shared. I don't think it is available through the market. It won't change your status bar. You will have to look through cm7 themes and find one close.
There's an HTC elegance theme you can find in the cm7 theme sticky
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA App
The best way to get a Sense notification bar is probably to use the Ultimate Onlline Kitchen. Use the empty theme Mendozinas provides, add the Sense notification icons, and cook. You should be all set.
Thanks to you all I chose to use LP sense UI which works great and especially like that it brings the fake sense widgets with it. Will probably also use Ultimate Onlline Kitchen to gain the Sense notification bar. (Assuming that they don't interfere with each other but im guessing they wont.)
Look up NT sense
Signatures are fancy.
You should check out my sense theme for cm7. It is essentially LP Sense UI but i've included dozens of sense clocks, NTSense, and many other themed Sense apps. There is a link to it in my signature, if you do try it out, could you give me some feedback? I stopped working on it because nobody responded and I assumed nobody downloaded it. Could you show some love?

Quick Launch widget found in BAMF SOAB 1.0.4

Hi guys. Can anyone tell me if the .apk for the awesome homescreen quick launch widget found in BAMF SOAB 1.0.4 is available anywhere?
I'm running ShiftAO5P 3.1.1 and i'd love to have this widget if at all possible...
Thanks
i tried pulling the .apk and installing on both sense and aosp roms and it's a no go...it installs successfully but doesn't show up anywhere...it's part of sense 3.5 so gonna take some hacking if possible at all...good luck
I looked all over for this bad boy and found nothing. I now use Circle Launcher with custom icons. Kinda the same Idea, but requires a home replacement like go. If this is something you would like to try let me know and I will post some screens shots and more detailed directions.
I also used Wigetsroid for a little while to do much the same thing.
as far as i know it is baked into sense 3.5 so it is not possible to get it onto another base.
But there are 3 sense 3.5 roms available if you would like to use it.
