Can't use Zune - HD7 General

Hey,
I'm getting my HD7 next week so I decided I should go ahead and install Zune on my PC.
All went fine up to the moment I tried logging in with my Live ID.
I neter my details and it tells me the Terms Of Service have changed and that I had to log in with my parent account.
Since I do not have a parent account (but turning 18 in December) I filed in my normal account again.
That worked and it gave me some options.
Problem is, I can't go to the next step.
It keeps giving me this error:
Before moving on you must select a value for films.
How can I select a value for films, if there's only a checkbox?

}
Am I overseeing something, or am I just plain retarded?

I think you have to check that box.

The box says "Block films", but I don't want to block that.

is it just me or am I missing the obvious, if this is something to do with age verification why don't you just change your age on the account? Or set up a new account for zune? I know before wp7 was out in the uk i had a zune hd so needed an American account so all I did was change my comps location and set up an account saying I lived in California and bang was in.
MS has to put this stuff on there to satisfy there legal team but they also want the most customers so it isn't to hard to get around. I mean like the location issue they could of just tracked my ip but instead used a setting that can be easily manually changed.

Are you actually in a Dutch-speaking country? If Belgium, not sure I can help you. If Holland, perhaps this would help?
http://www.esphoneblog.com/2010/10/...your-country-heres-how-to-get-access-to-it-2/

I tried changnig my age, it didn't work.
I don't wanna make a new account because my current account is used for Facebook, emails, Microsoft My Phone etc.
I'd have to import my contacts, emails etc and change all the websites to send my emails to the new account.
I live in Belgium, and it says the Marketplace is supported there.

Google Privacy Wifi

Is Google syncing wifi passwords with your account? Must be; my replacement n1 automatically knew my wifi wpa key once I synced my Google account. trying to locate granular limiting details. Thanks
It has an option of "Back up and restore phone settings". Those probably include WiFi passwords.

Watch out, they may fly out to your house, sit outside, join your wifi and then steal all your personal data

Only messing is this a big problem anyhow? I'd see this as a plus rather than a negative, it's not like you are trusting a random third party with your details.

App Hub Registration issues

I've registered my windows live account with App Hub, and also verified that I have been billed for it. Yet when i try to login to App Hub, i always end up at the page below.

}
Also, i am unable to register my phone as a developer's. I get the following error.
Is the App Hub page broken, or am i doing some mistake? I am not able to access their forums to raise this issue since everytime I login it takes me to that stupid screen. Any ideas guys?
The simplest thing to do is to have your
Computer country
Live Account ID's country
and Phone's country set to : USA
hope that helped..
I went to Microsoft billing, and delegated to another account in which everything is set to USA. Now atleast i am able to login in and access the forums etc. But still the same screen pops up. I've raised a message in the App Hub forums.
Can you tell me one more thing? How do i solve the second screenshot which i've posted? And also, am i supposed to get a mail from GeoTrust? Still havent got it.
For your second screenshot, I also had the same problem but the forums there explained that you need to get validated by GeoTrust first. How do you do that? You need to submit an app first.
Yeah I know it sounds dumb, but basically I just did the HelloWorld tutorial and submitted the xap file. This initiates the GeoTrust validation process, and you should get an email within 24 hours. Then you should be all set to register your device etc.

Dear arvo.bowen,
Someone has tried to log into your account on xda-developers with an incorrect password at least 5 times. This person has been prevented from attempting to login to your account for the next 15 minutes.
The person trying to log into your account had the following IP address: 50.160.169.155
All the best,
xda-developers

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you stop now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.
PS: If it helps, the password is a random 24 character upper and lower with punctuation in it.
*** Is there anyway for XDA to block access to the page for this IP? I have been getting these emails all day!
Very crude brute force attempt? By now he's not even to aardvark.

Hahahaha there's got to be a server registered there or something. I'm not even remotely shtting you. I've seen script kiddy attacks come that address for a couple years now. About a year ago, comodo kept telling me I had a user at (don't remember IP, I've had a beer since then) that same address. I've also looked up other haxor attempts on others and it came there. Always very crude attacks.
theres too many overly confident 15 yrs old on a redbull psychosis in this world
No need for this. I'll PM the OP

I don't understand what this is all about. I just got this phone last week, and ever since it was up and running, including first boot (if I recall correctly), I've had this cell-tower-like icon in my upper left corner. Always. Swiping down from the top reveals the following notice, and I'm given the chance to allow or deny.

Googling the content of this notice doesn't yield anything very informative, so I have a few questions:
1.) Is this coming from some app that can be disabled or uninstalled if I choose? Or is it part of the Android Oreo OS itself?
2.) What does it do if I allow it? Might it be useful or just some kind of spam?
If it's relevant, this phone was the international version, with the firmware probably Chinese (but of course I switched the language to English). Thanks for any info/help!

WAP push allows photos, URL links, wallpaper, ringtones, etc etc, to be directly embeded into SMS messages, so long as the sending server has it enabled.
It's an effort to bring SMS up to the speed of instant messaging, although it's probably a bit too late to catch up. Enabling it doesn't mean it'll work either, it has to be enabled with your service provider also.
I have mine disabled, effected nothing.
Theres quite a good explanation on StackOverflow

My P30 Pro won't detect Google Contacts app that I would like to be default

Hello there! New to this forum! So, here's the thing - I live in Europe, Poland, and about 2 or so years ago, I have bought a P30 Pro phone from one of our local stores - I highly doubt that it is a Chinese version of the device, but I might be wrong. Either way, I have recently installed Google Contacts app from Play Store, as I have wanted to make it a default on my device - I am wanting to use it with cooperation with the official People app from Microsoft on my Windows 10 PC, so that I can easily message my family or friends from my computer - But since to do that I would need to have Google's app manage my contacts, rather than the preinstalled dialer on my phone, I decided I would be willing to adapt and change my habits over to the new app. All would be nice and easy, if my phone actually detected Google's app I have installed and let me change it to default contacts app in settings, which it doesn't. Any idea why that might be happening?

Thank you, that worked. I was kinda surprised that it needed to be the Google's dialer app but glad it worked.
