Is this not the most entertaining HD7 video review? :D - HD7 General

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqWasRO6RaM
Part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxz1zO-Qyuk
Part 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9BAmYNSadI

lol, Bit of a nutter but he does raise a few valid points, a lot of which Microsoft can very quickly fix with updates, etc.
Worth watching though, was funny

This is not funny because it's true.

Loved it haha nice find.
At 09:58 on the part 1 video his Zune Music & Videos tile is animating. Does anybody else's Animate? Mine doesn't

This guy is funny.... good video review .... it seems to me he doesn't like is HD7 very much...! :'(

NBA Close Up... Review+Screenshots

Well, no I dont work for T-mobile, nor am i working for the NBA... this we know. But I took some screenshots and thought id post this here..
Believe me I searched, multiple combos to not double post.. although I read somewhere about it, but couldnt find that post..
screenshots are below
Layout of App:
1. 4 cam main menu (Home Player Cam, Away Player Cam, Close Up Cam, Scoreboard Cam)
2. there should be pictures of each camera angle... these were taken at the half of the cavs vs magic game 2.
Review:
It could be better, from the clear details that LUKLUK and Youtube HD (on Wifi), its kinda upsetting.. but it does give you great angles..
As for the delay, Id give it 10-15 seconds behind... i thought one time it was maybe 5 seconds, but no, played myself.
Overall, its not a bad deal for .99 cents. Hopefully there can be a better video quality and i guess a more user friendly UI.
By the way this is being used on JFv1.5.
Not in any way am i trying to boost T-Mobile's sales... they got enough of my money with my bills.
Thanks.
Super appreciate this post. Was thinking about getting this app, even though my beloved Blazers have gone fishing.
The screens don't look half as bad as I thought they would. Hows the feed? Choppy? Thanks again.

the feeed isnt too choppy... but i was using wi-fi... i mean i guess its not a waste of a dollar... but you "expect" more i guess, compared to other video streaming apps... but it could get better
But its not really choppy during playback, i havent tested it on 3G i will next game.
but video is watchable and runs smoothly with good connections or wi-fi of course
DAMN CLEVELAND lol good game by the way. anyways yeah i was really tempted too and by the screen shots the clarity is pretty decent so i might have to pick it up even though the seasons almost done lol. but im sure it would be pretty cool to have when you cant watch the game.
Im sorry i kinda looked over it quikly but does it show stats and does it update the score pretty quikly? does it show any instant replays or anything else? j/w
thanx for reviewing this by the way
I would have definitely gotten this app if my Celtics had advanced. Oh well.
Just remember that this will most likely only work for the Eastern Conf. Finals. The four camera angles are what TNT provides on their website so I guess this is linked to that. ESPN covers the Western Conf Finals and ABC will do the Finals.
Though it was still worth it, this series is most likely going to 6 or 7 so 99 cents is definitely worth it so I can watch it in class or away from home.

ya know what, i dont think i even saw the score on there.. lol, ill have to double check... you do have the announcers commentating all game.. i believe its backed by T-mobile through their TNT connection, cus it doesnt do the west coast...
but NBA Game Time has pretty damn accurate scores and complete updates of scores etc... like 5-10 seconds delay... if that

yeah i agree with you, it could be worth it since damn near every game is a last minute shot and all the series are 7 games with twists n turns... sheesh

Yea I didn't think it would be so competitive, thought Cavs would win easily at home, but now I don't know whats gonna happen. Can't wait for the game tonight.

[Q] Love the phone but I give up trying to load movies on it!!

I love this phone more than the iPhone but I just give up on uploading movies. I can upload music with no problem but movies forget it. I'm using handbrake and I get the same result: sound good....but video scrambled and choppy. I have followed the post on how to upload videos using handbrake but I'm having no luck with it. Any ideas???
very strange man, i also followed them as the guy instructed, but for me the playback is amazing.
Yeah that's strange. I have Total Recall , lord of the rings , and pulp fiction all look and run perfect. All made with hand brake.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
Test it on your computer first, if the video is still messed up then it's an encoding error.
Personally, I think DVDFab's ease of use makes it a better alternative to handbrake. DVD and BluRay decryption is built in, and in one click I can have it Rip a movie to iPhone format. I use one more click to change screen size for captivate - but this doesn't really have to be done. They update this app regularly - i bought the platinum edition long ago, and it has not failed me.
Give Rockplayer a try to see if you have better results as far as playback goes.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
I will try a different movie and see if that works. Just Samsung would make a program for the phone that makes this an easier job to do. This is the only draw back to this phone, most people dont have the time or skills to do this. Just my 2 cents.
Pardon my arrogance, but it appears as though you're trying too hard. I drag and drop my mp4 movies from my laptop to my Captivate with Windows Explorer. They work like a champ.

DVDFab is as easy as it gets and they have a 15 day trial - put your disk in, say DVD to Mobile; pick iPhone and you are done. No phone manufacturer makes a tool for ripping DVDs - mainly because it violates the DMCA in the US.
If you want an iTunes like solution, then in a few days you can buy your shows via the Samsung mediahub. Point and Click.

I have a PS3.
I would have to say GH3 was my favorite GH, but I've since moved on to Rock Band.
My favorite to play is guitar, then drums. Both of which I play on expert.
Heres a video of me playing a kinda tricky song on RB3, if anyone cares to see my skills lol: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3kTMfdtWmr8
EDIT: Everything out of the solos is pretty boring, just wait til they come around lol. Check out some of my other RB2 videos on my channel if you're interested.

Nice man!
I love gh3 too
It was my first guitar hero game and also where i learned to play in expert!
Thanks GH2 was my first one, and was what I first played expert on.
Sent from my Droid Incredible running a random CM7 nightly.
Oh thats cool man!
I couldn't play gh2 or gh1 cuz they where made for ps2 and xbox 360
And my first console was the wii
The should make a package that comes with Gh 1 and 2 for the for the ps3
I would definately buy it!
Ahh, I had it for the PS2. My first console was the N64 lol... But yeah, I would certainly buy that too! But, I would substitute GH3 in that package for GH Rock the 80s, since I already have GH3 for PS3. Also... They should make downloadable content for said discs if they were released on PS3 .

Any good apps to show off with

I'd like a nice app to show off my N7 with. Sure it's cool to show people Quickoffice and Dropbox and Beautiful weather and Angry Birds...but anyone have good ideas for apps that look cool and don't have an iPad equivalent? Or even things to do on it that an Ipad can't do?
Google Earth with the 3D buildings?

Hmm...things an iPad can't do...
Well, you could show them how you attach a file to an e-mail message.
Install ES File Explorer and attach to your Windows servers/shares or your Samba shares.
I load up Horn to show game play, but iOS has Horn as well I guess.
I have to admit, this thread is making me wonder what wifikill is? Couldn't find it in the Play store.
Any number of things the Nexus can do the Ipad can't.
Start with Tasker, and produce various funny messages based on Nexus orientation.
Ask Google "Who is Barack Obama". Then ask "Who is his wife". Google handles context - Siri does not.
Program a couple of NFC tags to do useful things, like turn on airplane mode when you lay the tablet down (Tasker).
Open a terminal window and show how close to a Linux system this really is.
Show how you can retire in 30 years by investing the money you saved by buying a Nexus instead of an IPad.
There are couple of apps in my sig that exist only on Android

WOW no kidding? I gotta download diceplayer when I get home!! I hope it works on 4.2. Ipad already has google earth so that one's a no go. I'm curious about this wifikill too -- do you need admin access to the wireless access point? Where do you get it the apk? I'm thinking more of apps on the go, in regards to connecting to my ES File Explorer to a Windows system. But if I'm at someone's house I'll show them that.
Show them the NFC tectiles. They are fun to play with and almost as versatile as Tasker.
Just show them face unlock xD and I can't find wifikill in the play store :S

Shadowgun: DeadZone is pretty nice to show off. Almost gives the PS Vita a run for it's money
Change your wallpaper, that will blow their minds. Especially if it's a LIVE wallpaper - whoa!
AndWobble of course
http://www.andwobble.com/
P.S.: The "Library" of it appears to not work - but adding "New Image" will.
Actually...
Google Goggles is pretty cool in the right context. I've had a few people I've shown it to be blown away.
I will +1 on NFC and Tasker. A friend of mine has his N7 set to automatically tether to his phone for internet connection when he taps them together. That's impressed a few people - including me.
Best app to show off with is TSF Shell... just amazing, they will NEVER have that on iPads... Unfortunately stopped working on Android 4.2 but worked on 4.1.2

Need your support!

Now I did not know where else to post this, as when i posted one of the videos in General I got asked politely by a moderator to take it down.
So I don't see the harm in posting it in the "off topic" section since it has nothing really to do with XDA itself.
Basically I have a Youtube channel Called Android Insanity, and need support from other android lovers.
So it would really mean alot.
I am a ameateur at it at the moment though. But I do try make my videos good quality.

Hi I've watched some of your videos and I have some constructive criticism for you
1. Your intro animation goes on a little too long, I would recommend 4-5 seconds from beginning to end, or 1.5 - 2 seconds after animation has reached its full display.
2. At the end of each segment during your best 3 upcoming phones review you could see your hand going to turn off the camera. If you just wait 2 seconds when you have finished you will be able to cut and paste the videos together smoother, making it look more professional .
3. If you keep notes of bullet points that you want to mention during the video keep them near the camera if possible, then you won't look like your looking away to refer to information.
4. You should maybe have a brief outro clip. Like a still image of your main logo with some music, that previous music you were using, the bass one was quite good. Maybe use that for the intro as well?
Other than that your doing good pal
