WM6.5.x ROM (CLEAN, FAST, STABLE & LOW BATT CONSUMPTIONS) for Himalaya device! - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 Windows Mobile 6 Upgrading

I know that all this WM6.5x rom are only just experiment or still beta roms for tested only. I tested some every rom and I found there's still a bug, including camera still not works properly to capture some pictures or recording some videos and even some times freeze it self, some times theres no sound at all, IE or GPRS not working and bluetooth won't working fine.
Is there a WM6.5.x rom for Himalaya device that works with no bugs at all?
And is there any CLEAN, FAST, STABLE & all function also features is fully working without any problems in really LOW BATTERY CONSUMPTIONS? Which WM6.5.x ROM is the best?
Help me cause i'm very really need it and thanks before!

What ROM is the best for me?

Hey mates,
I can't decide what rom is the best to flash on my HD. At first I thought Duttys rom's were the best but then I heard that the battery life is very bad with his new rom's. Furthermore I'm a little bit affraid that I could damage my mobile with a 3rd party rom. However, I like esp. the calendar on the 3rd party roms. Is it possible to install an original rom (from Asia or Europe) and install the calendar tab separately? Or do you know any rom that has a good battery life and offers me the cool features of Duttys roms? I just can't decide.... Please help me. Thank you very much.

There is no BEST Rom, it should be only personal preference...
Dutty's Rom can be best for me, and Ohter Rom can be best for you or vice versa.
And how are you going to damage your mobile with 3rd party rom?
and practically, Roms on here are 3rd party.... so what are you trying to say?
Just do your research and use wiki, you will def find "best" ROM for you within days. just try, you don't know it until you personally do it on your phone. all the steps are explained really well on this website and people dont like it (me personally) asking question which ROM is the best or not.
I used to use Duttys roms but now my wifi is damaged. I can't switch it on anymore no matter what I do. Soft reset, hard reset, new rom. Nothing helped. I don't know if the rom was the reason for it. Now htc is repairing it and when I flash it next time I don't want to have the same thing again.

My friend, there is no problem with duttys roms or anyone elses roms, as you may imagine. if there was a problem with your wifi, there was a hardware one, which was going to happen with any rom, even your original rom.
If you dont want to get obvious answers as: there is no best rom overall, but best rom for me, or for you, or for him, try to start with blackstone wiki and read all links in there. you will find lots of info.
Then, read the post of the specific rom youre trying to flash. maybe not all 100 pages for some roms, but at least 20-30 pages should give you an idea about what that rom is good and bad for.
Then, keep in mind that there is no way a rom in here can damage your hardware, unless you have no clue how to flash, which i assume you do know, else you couldnt have flashed duttys in the first place. So just download and try every rom in here, it takes around 15 min to download, another 15 min to flash and another 15 min to put all your settings back again. Then keep and use that rom for min 1 day and youll see how it suits you, if it does.
PS. the calendar tab you wont find separately, maybe just the new manila 15-tab, which includes calendar tab. google it. but then again, why not use a rom that has it already? Ive tried almost all roms in here and i must say they all work great, compared, for example with the roms for the old TyTN2, or Kaiser, which was a worse hardware. So you can just go ahead and try them, then choose one.
good luck!
Ok, thank you for your help...
No problem. just keep in mind they are all working fine and that you might wanna choose more about looks, aplications, rather than stability or speed. for me, they all look stable and quite similar speeds.
Or you may want to choose a different language, as italian, spanish, german etc...
what do you neeed the rom for... there isnt a BEST rom, but there are roms that do perform better in such aspects.

The battery issue is not a problem in Dutty's ROM. It's because the backlight is set at 100% by default. Change it to AUTO will return the battery consumption to normal.
Settings --> System --> Power --> Backlight --> Auto Adjust Backlight
Hi,
I have been running Duttys ROM Xtreme 2.1 for 3 days now and no major problems or bugs,
Like i said before, i have no problem with the battery usage...
the only thing i think that needs to be installed is "HD Tweak",
so you can enable the light sensor to manage the backlight and to turn the sreen off while in a call...
Alot of people are going on about AEButton showing that the phone doesn't turn off in stanby mode, because the uptime still shows as on,
but i think that AE button uses the system time to check that, and the system time never stops running, even in standby mode...
Dutty has made a GREAT Rom...
I have tried a couple of other Roms but Duttys Rom is GREAT...
If you want a fast ROM which has new manilla and calender and calculator etc, with good battery usage I would recommend either PhomQuang's latest ROM or Onkolog's Latest Lite version. PhamQuang's has the best battery life and lowest memory usage of only 33-35%, Next would be Onkologs which is a little more about 40% but with more of the new Topaz packages such as large menus system wide, and new notifications, etc.

I think u can try V9 or V16 of mr.PhamQuang (small usages <40%) and L26 THD V8.0 Ultimate and Kwbr 3.3.4
I think all of those are good rom, Many thank for those cooker cooked roms above!
Very hard to say what time of ROM is best suited for you.
If you go to the ROM section in the wiki, link here, you will notice there are lite ROM's and heavy ROM's due to the amount of applications etc installed.
I personal use a heavy ROM and have used both Laurentius26 ROM's and Dutty's.
Currently using Dutty's V2.1 Xtreme and have had no issues worth mentioning and find battery life surprising good.
Its a matter of personal taste.
My advice would be to decide if you want a lite or heavy ROM and then flash a few and see which you prefer.
Obviously always follow the proper procedures:
You must flash HardSPL first to be able to flash any rom! Info on HardSPL
An alternative is USPL, it doesn't change your original SPL!
More info and instruction about USPL
Tips about flashing the a rom
Use fully chargeddevice
Switch off your device by holding the Power button untill a menu pops up
Go to bootloader by holding Volume down + Power button at the same time
Connect your device to your PC
Start BlackStoneCustomRUU.exe and follow the onscreen instruction's
An alternative is to flash your device from storage card
Rename RUU_Signed.nbh to BLACIMG.NBH and copy it to your Storage Card
Follow the above steps to go in bootloader
A messages will popup, push power button to start flashing or Volume down to cancel
After it's done a new message popsup, softreset your device

Just My Opinion Regarding Kaiser

I have a HTC TynTynII or whatever it's called.
I was forced to buy one to keep "updated", with EDGE data capacity, but never wanted to buy a small screen device (this was before the HTC Touch HD was introduced), as I had been using my XDAII 's and forced to use my backups, XDAIIs's...
Now, as the XDAIIs's had pissed me off with various problems and lack of proper speakerphone, these are the deficiencies I find of Kaiser:
1. Speakerphone *totally* unusable (the XDAIIs was bad, but this is *hopeless*)
2. Cannot forward SMS's using EM (WM6.0 or 6.1 limitation).
3. Of course, HTC wouldn't let me upgrade to the latest 6.1 at the time I had bought the device, using my serial number of the unit purchased in Singapore. (Of course, we can use the cooked ROM's, but why??)
4. Touch sensitivity totally sucks with a screen protector, even though I have used these with my XDAII and XDAIIs units. When pressing hard sometimes, it elicits *no* reactions whatsoever, then opens up something else...
5. OS is totally "whacked-out" as compared to WM2003 - I have no idea why they have gone insane with these previously only used menus for the smartphones! One requires more menu/key-presses to execute mail retrieval, etc., as compared to WM2003!
6. Cannot use fingertips for typing entries, nor to close apps. (screen size issue)
7. Processor seems to be a power-saving one, that delays action, as compared to the one in the XDAII, which kicks a**, as compared to the XDAIIs or Kaiser.
8. No blinking SMS light (even though this was selected in the options) when receiving SMS - also no vibration noted.
9. OS is more buggy than WM2003 - sometimes completely stopping the phone, requiring the reboot of the device.
10. To be continued...
I'll update the list with more of my findings above, but welcome feedback....
Sounds awful. You should just send it to me. I'll give it a good home.

You'd think that'd be the case but in my experience running numerous official Kaiser ROMs, the one I have now far surpasses any WM 6.1 official ROM for stability. No broken GPS problems, no screen flashes coming out of powersaving mode, no unwanted pauses out of the blue. Yes it's slightly slower eg in redrawing the screen from portrait to landscape and back again and during boot it takes longer, but it's far more stable! Flashing to the Official WM 6.1 ROM would be like jumping out of the frying pan, into the fire so the o/p needs to consider this!

Flying Kiwi, I gather you are running a 6.0 ROM?
Are you on FT, btw?
I want my XDAII (both of them) back...maybe I'll buy a used one - problem is that it doesn't support EDGE or higher data, but in India (where I spend most of my time) it makes no difference - they don't give you the speed anyway!
One gets faster GPRS data in Singapore (StarHub) than on any Indian GSM carrier with EDGE!
Yeah, HSDPA, Edge, GPRS, it all boils down to how much your ISP allocating the bandwidth from the base station to it's internet gwy. No point having HSDPA if the base station is linked to their gwy with 128kbps line.
However, most of your complain about Kaiser, I don't find it for me. Perhaps you get a 'lemon'? My touchscreen is great, even the finger close (the corner task manager) works better than my previous Sony Ericsson M600.

Yeah, everything he said. I've been using mine for over a year and I don't really have any complaints at all. It's my best friend. SMS, EMAIL etc all work great and I can do EVERYTHING with my chubby sausage like fingers.
IMHO
I think you should learn to flash roms, I was not happy with my kaiser when I first got it but I started reading more and found how to flash roms and now I love it! find a more finger friendly rom and use it! Hope this helps if not send me the kaiser and I'll give him a good home!
I agree Rpearly1, I was so pissed at my tilt at first because the stock AT&T rom sucked ass. I removed the bloatware and it still sucked ass. I left it that way for about 6 months because I was too scared to brick my phone, but the whole flashing process is remarkably simple, I mean a complete novice who barely knows a computer could do it as long as they read around a bit and follow the directions. Now I'm a flashaholic.

Really disappointed with official 6.5 ROM stability - any advice?

I've now been running official non-hacked 6.5 ROM for the duration it's been out officially.
- Performance is worse than 6.1, esp on the Manila interface I use
- I've had 2 hard crashes (had to pull out the battery)
- many screen drawing glitches
- several times needed to restart the phone, because some part stopped working properly
- missed too many calls / messages to count
Now, my phone was working reasonably ok with 6.1. haven't dropped it a single time.
Only system level app / tweak I've installed is Pocket Shield 3.2 (and NetCF 3.5 which is reguired).
Is there anything that could be done to make the 6.5 more stable? Any tips?
Or, is there an unofficial ROM that people have found to be more *more stable* than the official (heaven forbid)?
I'm getting really bored with this phone and am ready to toss it, if I can't get it running properly anymore. This is daily tool for me, not a toy, so I'm rather non-plussed that the upgrade was this bad.
People here actually run stock ROMs?
I think that what you'll find depends entirely on you. The stock ROM I ran was OK. Bit of a memory hog, rather bloated for my taste, but ran pretty smoothly and seemed stable. So, either we have different tastes (and we do), we ran different stock ROMs (definitely seems the case), or both. I'm betting both.
Improving the stability of a stock ROM? Yeah, that's kinda what the chefs here do when they cook up a ROM. I suppose you could probably get serious about tweaking it and playing with things....but why? Go flash a few ROMs, and find one that suits you and your needs. I have yet to see a ROM that's worse than stock. (Well, in the Kaiser days there was one....lol, but it thankfully never was posted on XDA.)
I didn't see if you specified which OEM ROM you have been using. I'm using the TILT 2 (ATT) Stock ROM for about a week and it is very stable and responsive. It, like all ATT ROMs, is very bloated leaving limited memory, but I have yet to have a problem due to out of memory issues.
So far, I am quite impressed, as this is not what I have become accustomed to with AT&T bloat ROMs.
I have upgraded the radio, as when I unlocked had to reflash it. In fact, I have been so impressed with the stock, that I have been reluctant to reflash it at this point. I haven't looked in to doing the hard reset or soft reset other than with the power button.
What apps have you loaded on top of the stock ROM? Maybe you have loaded something that doesn't play well?
I haven't been a ROM user yet on the Rhodium forum, but I know that I had very good success with NRG's ROMs on the Fuze and he is cooking here now as well. I'm sure there are some other very nice ROMs.
Also, have you tried a hard reset?
v/r
try one of the non stock 6.5 218xx builds that are cooked up by the chefs here, they tend to be way more stable and responsive than the stock roms. im having a great time with miri's rom
Thanks for all the replies.
The bug lists for almost all non-stock ROMs have scared me away so far.
I don't want a bleeding edge ROM. I wish for a stable one and the stock was a horrible disappointment.
I start pruning down my installs. I have had very little on top of the STOCK. Just Pocket Shield and couple off non-resident apps (mini opera, etc).
Now I'll just zap the whole phone and start from scratch with nothing on it.
Maybe it'll stop crashing.

Agree with you. i am using WM6.5 Official HTC Europe Version, same problem
I've been running the Timor.7.1 optimized T-Mobile ROM for 2 days straight with absolutely no issues at all.
I previous had the AthineOS rom and NRG and some other rom and they were unstable except the NRG rom, I just dind't like the NRG rom.
Im happy with my phone
vasra, you haven't listed where you are, which carrier or which version of the Rhodium you're using.
If you've got a Tilt2 I'd recomend At0mAng's Fusion V6.0 HTC Sense 2.1 ATT Version
He said V6.0 will be out later today. That's is probably the best At&t rom out at the moment.
My advice, go back to 6.1, there are no perfect roms on this forum. Always something here and there, you have to flash almost all of them and find what works best for you. For example some ppl was reporting some prob with energy rom regarding video call, since Im in the U.S. and we dont have that so to me its not a bug, just an example. So find what works for u, dont listen too much to what bugs are being report by users all over the world, if you cant do that, go back to 6.1
Thanks for all the replies again.
I'm on WWE / Euro English GSM/3G ROMs, phone bought in the Netherlands, but used all over Europe.
BTW, I wasn't aware I can go back to 6.1. How can I do this?
I think I'll test a couple of the builder ROMs, once an 'official' 6.5.1 ships, which I hope fill fix some of the 6.5 official bugs.
I also uninstalled Pocket Shield completely, which took away some of the problems I was having, but not all. Plus now I have to be content with the inane built-in "lock" system of 6.5. Grrrrr...
the HTC 6.5 rom comes with alot of apps you never going to use (well some people)
the Timo rom that is 6.5 posted here on the forum he just removed alot of microsoft apps and twerk it a lil bit..
You should try
the touch sense 2.0 b rom, very fast, energy rom is very slow
The HTC Official 6.5 ROM is the best ROM I've run. Fast, Smooth, Stable. Sure it uses more RAM and has more apps installed by default but who cares if cooked ROMs use less RAM and have less crap on them if they're constantly crashing and not operating properly. No offense to all the brilliant cooks out there, your ROMs are much cleaner and tidier than the default ROMs, but until I see a cooked ROM that doesn't fully drain my battery within 12 hours (every cooked ROM I've used does this) and is bug free, I'll be sticking to the official HTC ROM.

Is there a fast,bug-free rom ?

Hi all,
I flashed my Blackstone round about 100time since I get it last year.
Duty,Miri, kwbr, energy, xanny and so on.....even some not so public.
I found not even one which works bugfree.
In most case the phone function is slow.
Did nobody else got this problem ?
Is there one rom which works fast and without the slow phone function ?
what i mean is :
If you start a call and drop it....the phone takes seconds until it drops the call ...
I mean , its a phone...or isnt it ?
This is no feature. This is the most common basic funtionality which has to work....
So can someone tell me a working rom ?
Cheers
Alex
(my favorite is KWBRs 3.4.x with manila 2.1 atm)
if you feel kwbr ROM than stick with it...different people have different experience so the ultimate question about "Which ROM is the BEST???" can only solve and answered by the user it self
just try and try until you feel satisfied or if you feel not one ROMs here can satisfied you than maybe "stock ROM" is the best for you

+1 on that. by now i am already used to that, but this is something i used to be annoyed about from the beginning. when i end a call i takes way too long!
since it is a phone the phone function should be working fast and reliable (sometimes i cant end a call at all/it takes around 1 minute). isnt there anyway to accelerate the phone function?

By default, there's a 3 second delay when you hang up the phone. You can reduce this or turn it off via registry or one of several programs like "HTCPedia HD Settings Tool"
Hi Guys,
I have also flashed many on my Blackstone and i agree with you guys that most of the ROM's are sluggish !!!
But recently i have installed "[ROM] [WWE, GER] [16.01.10] BlackDragon 1.9 Speed King (Manila 2.5, WM 6.5)" .. this one works like a charm ... trust me its way better than the others and its fast too ... Not as fast as the stock one though ... but you still like the difference ...

i think it's more of a PDA than a phone
also, remember that ROM chefs focus on different parts of the ROM, making different things faster due to personal preferences. Also remember that there are limitations to Windows Mobile, making it a woeful user experience. Hopefully WM 7 will fix a lot of that - but if you can't put up with these limitations, i'd suggest switching to Android, iPhone, Symbian or WebOS

You got the answer already. simply NO.
In Advanced Config Tool you can remove the delay there is for example end call delay around 1500ms so you wrote 0 and the delay is gone.. i always do that no matter what ROM i use and this work for me

+ 1 on this
No roms are completely bug free as we are all using ported versions of wm6.5 as it hasn't been released for the HD, and never will.
Cooks are doing the best they can with the materials on offer. The latest roms (wm6.5, manila 2.5+) will always be more sluggish than manila 2.1, so why not try one of those. Plenty of threads already exist discussing this
EDIT
I've reopened thread by OP request

no its not about "which ROM is the best " !
its about a main issue in ALL roms !
Maybe I would have another favorite if main phone function wouldnt be buddy
And as you see I am not the only one...who ich at first interested in this.
All the additional options of the different Roms are quiete cool...
One better than another. But at least the whole ROM is nothing without the basic option.
And its a phone, no netbook, no notebook......

pda, phone.....however.
who cares about how it is called ? I think nobody.
What I bought is a cellphone at first.
With many other options......which are working fine.
A PC, notebook, netbook I got at least.
But how can it be that the very first option to call/be reachable is buggy?
Please remember...we dont talking about a 50$ cell !
There are 3 digits !
Last year, as I get it I payed 600€...
Further you day that one focus this option to be faster...someone else speeds up another app....
ahm...sorry that I dont understand why notbody picks up the main task in order to get a working cellphone.
And you say WinX will fix. Sounds like the same **** Microsoft told us as the made the roll out of Win98, SE , ME, XP. Vista and so on.
I cannot hear this anymore...sorry.
NOBODY is interested in NO-WORKING SOLUTIONS.
Look at the iPhone. Working. No problem.Happy users.
Is there no way to priorise the "phone-task"?

thanks for you answer.
but 1500is NOT what we are talking about !
maybe its a step to the right direction.
I am talking about you never can say if your HD is lucky to end a call.
its a mess.
there is no excuse for this....wheter from HTC nor from MS.
I remember a phone with a dialplate.....about 20 years ago.
As I wanted to stop a call - it did ! magic? I dont believe !
Is there no option to priorize this "phone task" ?

I totally agree with you, but you'r wrong. If you want a working phone, try STOCK ROM, but don't complaint about cooked ROMs, especially if every master wants the hi-end/last version. All those ROMs are beta...

Tommorow I recieve my HD. Will try this rom first! Thanks for this tip!
Hi,
i also switched back to manila 2.1 in topix rom. great roms! no bugs, very good performance. but why no manila 2.5?
as i read htc has released a win6.5 rom with manila 2.5 for the diamond 2. diamond 2 and blackstone have almost the same hardware. and i guess that a officially released rom from htc cant be that laggy. so it should be possible to produce a rom like this for the blackstone. it doesnt have to have the newest packages.
would be highly appreciated if one of the chefs could look into a fix to prioritize the phone task.
flashing blackdragon now. thx for the hint.
hdizzel
btw: still waiting for a landscape only rom. does anyone know if something like this has been released by one of our dear chefs??
update: blackdragon fast but topix faster (manila2.1) as expected
Hello guys ,
This is my first offiicial post here at XDA and my first hands on experience with a touch HD.
I spent a lot of time reading the wiki and the rest of the forum to try and understand the fone hardware and the software. I've been trying to install basic applications to see if it betters the performance according to my needs.
Now , before i decided to buy the touch HD.. i did a lot of research myself and i narrowed it down to two options . Either the touch pro 2 or the HD. And i decided to go for the HD because I did not like the slide out keyboard and I simply love the HD design.
Now my question is , Although both the touch pro 2 and the HD are similar in terms of hardware is there any option where I could flash the touch pro 2 ROM to the HD ?
I was playing around with my friends touch pro 2 today and I felt for a second that I should have bought the touch pro2 because of the amazing speed at which the touch flo 3D works on that. [ oh btw ,it was a touch pro 2 sprint version ]
I just need the same ROM in my HD and I will be very happy
Is this possible ? If not , any suggestions for a particular ROM that would get me very close to the same experience I had with the touch pro 2 ?
just a few things
To comment on the last question, I would like to say that a friend of mine just got the Touch Pro 2 from Verizon and we have tried 4 or 5 different custom ROMs on it. I noticed that his touch pro 2 did seem to perform slightly better than my Touch HD. It was true for pretty much all the ROMs that we tried, so I don't think you going to find any satisfaction from a Touch Pro 2 ROM on your HD, and rightfully so because their not intended for the HD because of radios and landscape keyboards and proximity sensors and speaker phone capabilities, TV-OUT option on the Touch Pro 2 (not available for the HD) etc, etc, etc. They aren't the same phone and they don't get the same ROMs.
To improve performance on the few short things that were mentioned at the beginning of this thread, do try the registry hack to remove the delay for end call, it helped me. It also helped me to remove the dialer's key tone. This really did improve dialing speed because I am a speed dialer, its very important to me, the key tone slows it down and I could imagine that the vibration feedback (vibration on touch dial and keyboard and other actions) also slows the operation of the device. I have noticed because the vibration feedback does not feel tactile to me, turning it off completely helped me to regain some of the speed that I felt was missing. Also I have tried installing a more legacy dialer on top of the original ROM dialer, that also improved the performance of the phone feature. Do yourself a favor and try those things and make sure you address the serious problem of the hold button being pressed while holding the phone to your face, too bad the Touch HD didn't come with a proximity sensor like the Touch Pro 2 does! Keep flashing bros, this is half the fun!

OS Lag - Other Options?

Hi,
I wanted to know if there is any way to run a different OS on this phone that supports all of the hardware.
I love the specs of this phone - and the form factor, however, it doesn't matter which ROM I use, the phone is just so unbearably slow. Even with the light ROMs.
I simply hate Windows Mobile. The processor is not that slow - it should be able to do plenty - but everything takes 3 seconds at least to open. I've missed an inordinate number of phone calls just because the stupid send button takes 10 seconds to respond.
Is there any option at all to forgo a WM ROM and use a different OS entirely?
How can I take advantage of the amazing hardware - but not be dragged down by the software?
HELP!
Moved as not ROM Development.
Try flashing stock then ROM, changing Hard-SPL.. etc.
Never had problem with slow OS unless the ROM is an issue to which is very uncommon..
If it really takes 10 seconds to get the phone to answer a call...
One thing to check is memory -- Do you have a lot of stuff in your calls list or MMS texts? Clear them out.
Which ROMS have you tried? Any 6.1 or 6.5s?
There is no other usable OS now -- Android is getting close but it won't work with all the phone's components

The last ROM I flashed that's exactly what I did - I flashed to a stack ROM - changed the Hard SPL.
The ROM I love - Shifu did a phenomenal job - but after a while - everything just begins to lag...and it's not just this ROM - it's every ROM. After a few weeks - everything just starts to miss a beat and then slowly unravel.
I'm surprised that you've never had any problems with the OS - the consensus is that WM is a generally slow OS - I just thought maybe there's a way to take advantage of the great hardware in the phone without having to use this OS.
Thanks for the advice though.
If you have any other suggestions - they would be much appreciated.

Maybe not 10 seconds - but I have missed plenty of calls because the phone was completely unresponsive.
I do have a LOT of SMS' - maybe that's it. I just flashed to a new ROM (jjblaster3's 6.5) - it's great for now. I hope it stays that way. But they all start off great...you start installing a few programs and then nothing moves.
Thanks for the SMS/call history advice - I'll start clearing out now.
Anything else you can think of would be great.
I went through similar problems. Currently I am using the ROM "forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=428261". This was the best ROM that I tested for my Kaiser.
I was not very fan of windows mobile too, because that i installed android at sdcard and recently found a very good application "forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623792" to streamline the boot process for the android, without having to wait for the windows mobile start and then boot the android. Android is fantastic, but as has already been said not everything works. The GPS and camera are the major problems yet.
Thanks

Thanks for the advice - I'm not going to head down the Android route yet...but I will check out the ROM you suggested. Have you tried any 6.5 ROMs you liked? I'm running jjblaster3 6.5 v2 right now.
Well personally, I like the STAXXX STYLE ROMs...they are 6.5.3...and VERY fast in my opinion.
ROM Suggestions
Thanks for the suggestion, any ROM recommendations would be much appreciated, here is what I'm looking for:
1) A fast ROM
2) No bugs with common things like text messages, bluetooth, WiFi, Internet
3) Good battery life
4) And if possible - 6.5 - but not mandatory
I know a LOT of hard work goes into cooking the ROMs, so I'm not complaining - but I've found that there are always small bugs that are real deal breakers for me.
I've tried:
1) AthineOS Manila Edition
Text issues, backlight issues
2) Shifu (3.2)
Text issues, screen rotation issues, wifi issues, phone got stuck a lot towards the end (had to soft reset twice a day at times)
3) Jjblaster3 v2
Battery life (very poor - need to charge twice a day) - because there is no easy way to switch between 3G and GPRS (any quick fix for this?)
