So, Samsung has not made this accessory official, but it's been available for pre-order in the UK and Europe since the end of September. I believe the third-party webstores may have begun shipping this item at this point. Is there any word of availability in the US? Do any XDA members own this accessory?
http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/28/galaxy-tab-bluetooth-stylus-emerges-up-for-49-99-pre-order/

Nice but pricey.
Forgive My Brevity. To Be Or Not To Be...

I'm so amused of thought about talking to a pen, that this will be a must. Yes, I must have it.
Maybe they finally give me a mental disorder classification and a pension...

Has anybody bought it? I'm interested in buying it as I really need a stylus and a bluetooth receiver, so this is 2 in 1

Still wondering if this accessory has even launched...

I haven't seen it anywhere. I sent an e-mail to www.play.com 2 days ago ( it's listed on their site, but they have no stock ), but they haven't replied yet.
So, yeah, I agree it hasn't launched yet. It's annoying though if you take into account Samsung's statement that they had already sold like 600,000 tabs 2 weeks ago (!) How can your product sell so well and you can hardly find any accessories for it? I had a hard time finding a basic accessory ( case ), let alone finding such an "elite" accessory

I got a buck says they were holding off manufacturing a lot of accessories until they saw what the sell-through rate on the Tab itself was. Now that they're moving pretty well, they'll start cranking more of this stuff out to match the market need.

Yeah, it makes sense since the TAB is an expensive device, but Samsung's commercial did the trick; it's amazing how many people who have no idea about mobile phones / tablets told me how much they liked that device after seeing the commercial ^^

http://www.letsbuy.com/electronics/...ies/samsung/ctype-stylus-galaxy-pd-11303.html
that stylus seems to be around 15$
and letsbuy is the official web store for samsung tab

I got an e-mail from Mobilefun.co.uk today saying that the BLUETOOTH CAPACITIVE STYLUS IS DISCONTINUED.
...........

That's really disappointing, but not all that surprising either. Samsung can't expect to sell that many of them when they've gutted the phone function in half of the world.

Since when the USA is half the world?
Sent from my Milestone

Canada, too. And then there's Mexico and Costa Rica and lot of other places besides the USA on that half of the world.

The stylus you linked to is capacitive, but not Samsung, and also not Bluetooth.

Still no news a month later ... does this mean the pen has really been cancelled?
Is there anything similar? A pen-style bluetooth earpiece with multipoint...

It may not be half the world, but it is when you're talking about high end electronics. Many products like the Tab sell half their units in the US.

yes but they post it on other sites to and they sell from over there so they just change the price
It's a wholesale lot of 100 SP.
Item package:
3 MIRROR Screen Protector + 1 Cleaning Cloth
Retail package
Box contents:
100 items
when you see the word "lot" in the title, it means theres a bundle of the same items included. i used to buy phone parts in lot back in my hardware modding days. so if you read the whole posting, 100 packages of 3 pack screen protectors for £105 is a good deal. thats about £.40 a screen. as far as "iphone not included", that message is a general pic so the seller dosent have to custom tailor every posting for a different phone. laziness on their behalf but you get the point. just my 2 cents on not finding it stupid nor should the poster be shot.
Yup, you misunderstood.
Haha, I don't think the OP should buy from eBay.
But also, the seller had bad communication. He also failed to be accurate with his description.
The item is for the Xperia X1, not the iPhone.
never mind. But he didn't bother to write a suitable description for that device.
True. But, these people are from Hong Kong and never get English right when i'm dealing with them.

why not? you buy 100 for 100 and sell them for 3 bucks each...you just made 200 + shipping costs. theres money to be made out there and ebay is a great way to capitalize. you gotta figure, 100 people in the world will be looking for a screen protector for the x1. you sell it for cheap and people will buy.

Not all China-based sellers have bad English.
An eBay seller by the name of Easecase who operates and ships from China has a customer service person who writes and understands excellent English. I should add that their customized cases are amazing. I mean their cases are the BEST.

How is this relevant to the HD2?
Behold!
amazing! very very nice
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET very retro ma man cool
Cool
this has got to be one of the most innovative accessories ever =) i have to ask: where can i get one? again, well done mate!
cheers
This one must be the one and only accessory we would need for our HD2. We should name it "How to turn your HD2 into HD7".
amazing :-D can you send me one?
found some in ebay, did a search and they're around 20 or so bucks from the uk or hong kong =)
a little curious though. the iphone's back surface is more "glossy" which imo works well with the plunger. given that the hd2's back is not the same, wonder if this will affect the plunger clinging on the surface...
I wonder what I will tell security or customs at the airport when they find this?
That's probably one of the longest crap for someone to sit through and thought that a plunger is the perfect novelty idea for a phone's kickstand
Very creative
OMG, this is iGreat!!!!
You can find it on Amazon for $6-7 a pop. It's sold by Perpetual Kid. It was originally designed for the iPhone but I bit the bullet and bought it to use for the HD2 and it works perfectly.
£4.99 incl P&P form Amazon UK, just ordered one thanks
That looks great!
How long does it stand?
Because I read on Amazon.co.uk the following review:
"But I haven't been able to make this thing work for periods longer than 5 minutes. Might be because I'm using it on an iPhone 4? Slightly disappointing and not that cheap. "
Does it fall off after 5 minutes? Or does it work for hours?
shouldnt it be white?
finally got one, found it being sold in a apple store quite near (5 bucks).
the good news: it does work on the hd2 despite my previous concern on the back surface not being as glossy as that of an iphone's
the bad news: if you were to stick the plunger towards the middle, expect it to pop out in like 5 or less minutes. must be the weight that's pulling down given the "angle". thus, i wouldn't recommend plugging it to give a 30' view. i plugged it towards the side giving it a 10'-15' view and it stayed on for like 2 hours (i think).

Thanks for the update Robson!
That makes things clear for me; I don't buy it. It's to dangerous if it falls down when I put it in a train or something. I don't want to take the risk. And I also don't want to make a profession of applying a iPlunger It should just work 100%, easy.
Sad to hear because it looked like a cool thing to buy for my HD2.

[R.I.P.]Broken Grouper

Damn, i accidentally dropped on to the tile floor and landed on the corner... R.I.P. (2012-2013) my trusty N7. Now i am facing a new problem: a new tablet. I am tempted to buy an ipad as it may partially replace my laptop on certain school days. however the 32gb grouper is only $250 here, also a good buy. what should i do?

Ouch..
I will wait for the n7 refresh, who knows what Google will do in the next 2 months.

You can buy 32gb Groupers for $199 now since most places are lowering them, I guess, in preparation for the new model.
I have a brand new 32gb sitting in a box downstairs. I guess I'll sell both and buy a new one, if its worth it.

maybe you have to answer this;
- how the urgency of your need?
- if you buy Ipad, will it cover all your need?
if i were you i'll take N10 instead Ipad..

yeah, but it is much harder to obtain a n10 here in aus than say America. so i decided that i am going to get an ipad, and i did. not to worry guys, my brother who lives with me still actively uses his grouper (a lot) so i an still gonna be around for the next few months thanks for the sympathy and i do appreciate that a lot. fingers crossed for your beloved n7. may the case be with you (if you catch what i mean).

Because apple is better. NO. Because here in Australia good android tablets are as hard to find as it is easy to find iPads. There really aren't many choices things like n10 is just to complicated to obtain. That's why, if I am given a CHOICE, I will choose android every time, but here there isn't any choices.

Which iPad? The 4 is hardly a bad tablet-- I was thinking of trading in my iPad 3 (the performance bump from the 3 to the 4 is really quite nice), but ultimately didn't have time to go in today and the promotion is over. Honestly, I like it more than any of my Android tablets because the thing is rock solid no matter what, but I do a lot of my tinkering on my Android tabs so it's at least partially my fault.
I would wait and acquire the nexus 7 second generation.

My desire of Android...T-Shirts

I want to start up an Android Themed T-Shirt printing company. I could use some support from our community. I have written an "About me" so check me out! Its not finished but will be fully completed with a picture timeline in the near future.
Mod edit: Info removed.
About Me...Take a seat
Im all about android, since you are reading this I’m willing to bet you are too. From a Motorola Brick to a Samsung Galaxy Gear, I’ll show you how I fell in love with android. Sit back and relax as I lead you on my journey…. I recently searched for T-Shirts, hoodies, jackets, anything that I can wear with an Android based design. My results netted almost none at all. I found maybe one or two t-shirts. I was pretty disappointed that I could not walk to classes at The University of Kansas wearing something I supported so much. Here is my story.
My first phone was a brick from Motorola at the age 14. My mom placed my first phone on my birthday cake so I immediately thought it was fake. I remember thinking it couldn't be merely anything but a hollow dummy phone. To my surprise it was heavier than what I had expected. That birthday marked the long nights of playing snake.
At 15 my second phone came into my life. It couldn't just be any phone though. It had to have a color front LCD screen and play polyphonic ringtones. My mom and I settled on Kyocera. A flip phone on virgin-mobile. This phone served all a teenager's needs at the time. With this phone I was introduced to Java given the web browser. At the time there was absolutely no development from a 15 year-old’s standpoint. I was simply happy could browse Myspace on my phone.
When I was 16 everyone in high school had the Motorola Razr (today's IPhone) but I wanted something different. I wanted something just as good and just as slim. I could afford it since I started work at a Sonic nearby.... Making $5.15/hr plus tips I was basically rolling in money. 220 dollars later I ordered the Samsung A900 aka "The Blade" from eBay. It was dope at the time. It had front facing speakers, music control buttons, and a rotating camera. I’m just realizing it now but was the first selfie phone. :cyclops: To stand out I wrapped the phone in a money skin from ebay. I was pretty much the cool kid on campus.
While I was around 17 years old I bought my first smartphone. This also might be my first time finding xda, I joined in 2008. It was the HTC Vogue aka The Touch. It was my first ever touch screen phone and it had windows! I was amazed I could simply copy and paste files just like my computer and it only had 3 buttons. With unlimited texting/data and my Acura Integra I was living the life of a teenager.
18 years old I was still working at Sonic but now as a shift manager. The pay was great for my age while still living with my parents. Once my upgrade came along I decided to get another HTC. The Touch Diamond. All I ever wanted. It was a windows phone, it has a pretty good camera, AND it had a gyroscope built in! Now I can brag to my friends about this awesome game where you can tilt the phone in order to roll a ball through a maze.
Onward came the Motorola Droid. At this point I was 19 and recently accepted into the University of Kansas studying Mechanical Engineering. I remember sitting in English 101 discussing a topic about how technology has shaped us. The guy sitting next to me noticed my Droid on the desk and brought it up to the class. He said “His phone is basically a computer. He has a keyboard, he can send and receive email, and use the internet. The best thing about it is he can fit it in his pocket.”
