Droid x Multitouch keyboard *Froyo* - Epic 4G Themes

Ok. I hate the Epic on screen keyboards. I love the Droid x keyboard. I found a flashable zip for Froyo but it didn't work. I extracted the .apk and just installed it that way. Works great. I can't take credit for the file but I don't remember the source. I found a few of them and this is the only one that worked. I attached the flashable zip and the .apk. I think this was over in the Evo forum's. Either way it works really well.
Hope your guys enjoy.

With the apk, how did you install it? Just tapping on it (using a package installer) or did you push it to the system/app/?
Odd, I tried both and it wasn't working (on Quantum Rom 1.2 Froyo DK05)

I just tapped and installed but I imagine it would work both ways.

ever since the EXT4 switch I can't get this to work. any workaround for it? or if anyone can upload one that works?

Thanks for this.
Ill still probably use Swype Beta (better than stock Swype), but Ill definitely give this a shot.

I tried to flash it... it didn't work, so I tried extracting the .apk... didn't work, so I used the apk u gave... didnt work... any ideas?

Kevlar,
Looks great installed on v12 Does this only work on Aloysious roms. I tried to put it over sense able said not enough memory funny thing is I have less internal memory on v12 and it installed fine.
Re: [MetaMorph] Kevlar Mash (Aloysius v9-v12)
I think only works for sprint based ports cuz of file names. It doesn't replace whole file, just a few inside.

So please bare with me on this. This is all new to me. v02 fixed the issue where not everything in the taskbar was updated as well when you hold down the power button. There are a few new icons there as well.

Your packages won't install, ssays there not certified when trying to install them. This is from the boot loader on my phone not from adb. Or is adb required. Either way when i get home i can just download the apk's from my phone redo the files and resend them which is the long way to do this but I can't be the only one who is having trouble.

This is not a flash update, hence the title, MetaMorph. You must use that app to install this theme and any other theme for Metamorph. There is a free version on the market. FYI, there are not apks in here. That is not how MM works.
Well the files are the same, and im assuming it replaces them just as i would on the computer. I would just do it through adb if i was home.

270/360 Degree Rotation for CDMA Hero

Is it possible to have an updatable zip to apply the 270/360 Degree rotation to roms that do not currently have them in there? Flipz new Fresh rom has it in it and I would like to apply that same setting to Infinitefx45's rom. I found this but it is for another phone.

Found out from PAPASmurf that it is in the framework.jar file. Kinda hope someone can create a zip file to enable this function.

Pull the framework.jar file from the new fresh rom and make it into a signed zip. I'd do it but I'm at work. This is for 270 degree rotation. Darchdroid does 360 and is probably in the framework.jar file as well. Just don't know if that can be used in most roms. Only one way to find out. Some one make the zips and try them. Again I'd be happy to do it but I'm at work and on my phone

It probably doesn't flash because the update scripts are slightly different - it's now updater-script and update-binary I think. I'm going to put this in a flashable zip I made (and tested) and see what happens

Still getting bootloop. The lockscreen shows up for a second and there's no notification bar, then it reboots.
OUCH !
No notification bar, as above. But I am not going into boot loop, but each and every app force closes.
I am on Paul's Rom. Need to update sig.
It's the system UI apk. You can't modify that. Pushing just the framework should work

[MOD] Stop MMS in your Call Logs - JS5, JS7, KB1 Tested

Fix to Get Rid of the MMS Notification in your Call Logs
Apologies about the brief post earlier today, was at work and a bit of a hurry. Here is a more detailed method.
This was created from the JS5, i9000 source, but has been confirmed to also work on JS7 and KB1.
This will not remove exisiting notifications, but will stop new ones from popping up.
I do not take credit for the original fix, my source is listed below.
Clockwork Flashable zip file below to apply this fix, the steps are listed because I was asked for the process, but if you just want the mod, just flash the file at the bottom of this post.
This assumes you have knowledge of apkmanager or apktool to decompile the apk's, and notepad++ or another way to compare and edit the smali's. Those are lessons for another thread.
I happened upon this thread this morning over in Vibrant Q&A: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=988929
Which led me here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=853177 (Go Hit mammon88's thanks button)
-Grab the LogsProvider.apk from the Epic thread, second one linked, and decompiled using apkmanager.
-Move that file somewhere else, maybe even rename the folder, you won't need it again, and it will be the example folder/files.
-Take the LogsProvider.apk from your rom, and decompile with apkmanager or similar program.
-Inside the decompiled apk, using the one in the apkmanager folder here, not the Example Folder, browse to \smali\com\sec\android\provider\logsprovider, and open the LogsProvider.smali with notepad++ (that what I recommend using)
-Now from you Example Folder, drag the corresponding smali file to notepad++, and it will be in a new tab.
-In notepad++, hit Plugins->Compare->Compare, and the differences in the files are highlighted.
-Recreate the edits in the example to your main file, and save.
-Recompile the apk being sure to delete the classes.dex in the process.
These steps may/will work for comparing and editing other files, but be cautious. I didn't go in blindly and say "Eureka" on the first differences I saw. I compared every smali and xml, being cautious in editing, and got lucky on my first shot. Thankfully this apk only has a handful of smali files, first one I've ever decompiled that had less than 40. If you follow my steps, don't hold me responsible if it doesn't work, especially if you failed to make a backup.
The zip below is flashable via Clockwork Recovery. Backup as always, cause hey, it happens.

Thats interesting. I thought that Bionix 1.3.1 was KB1 (Android 2.2) based. Well hell, as long as it works, although be on the lookout for the odd issue or two, as this was sourced from the European i9000 JS5 port, and is all I've tested it on. Thx for the confirmation.

[FIX]Offline RCTweaks by RCTeam|Sebastiaan15|Prof Peach

First, lets clarify the credits:
RCTeam provided the tweaks in the first place
Sebastiaan15 fixed tweaks scripts to use files stored od sdcard instead of hosted ones on Robociks server (which are down) for his rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1315961&highlight=runnymede+aio)
Prof Peach for creating a flashable zip for desire (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1517975&highlight=tweaks+fix)
all i did was fix the updater script to work on DHD, and fix the tweaks scripts where necesary, because desire uses sd-ext for some system files
what is this
this is a fix for all of us still using sense 3.5 roms with RCTweaks, which makes pretty much all of the tweaks work again without using the offline server(fonts, bootanims,oc daemons...). this changes tweaks scripts to use files stored on sdcard(included in zip). everything should work, except settings/rctweaks/extras/recommended apps(avalible in play store) and updating of the rctweaks. if you find something else not working, please report and i will do my best to fix it.
how to
i would recommend to do a nand backup first, just in case
flash zip through recovery like any other flashable zip
do not delete /sdcard/.RCTeam folder, the files needed for the tweaks are in there!
do not click on update tweaks in settings/rctweaks/extras because it will delete tweaks apk and you will have to manually push it back
i found this fix a while back while trying to locate a flashable zip of virtuous oc via google. i had no idea where it came from or how it works. Thank you Prof Peach for providing a source for that zip, so i am able to give proper credits.
tested on
for now, only RCMix 4.0
i think it should work on any sense 3.5 rom which uses RCTweaks. so if anyone is willing to test on any other rom, please report so i can add to this post
my edited update script(originally made by Prof Peach) is very basic. it works for me in 4ext, i havent tested in cwm
and for the end, standard disclaimer: i am not responsible if anything goes wrong. i will try my best to help, but my knowledge is very limited. also, please dont bug people in credits for the mistakes i might have made
download
http://www.fileswap.com/dl/WsochGJWXK/DHD_RCTeam_Fix_Signed.zip.html
if you like this, and would like to thank someone, please thank all the people in credits before me, it is mostly their work not mine
Works great, thanks!

it cant work, because this does not contain full rctweaks, neither does arhd. if you have rctweaks installed, status bar should come back after reboot.
if none of this is the case, extract /system/app/systemui.apk from original rom zip and push via adb, or copy to same folder on your device using root explorer or something similar .dont forget to set permissions rw-r-r

well, i made a test on my rom, and the scripts themselves work, but in my case camera obviously uses built in sounds(in apk), which makes it not "see" the changes. i looked in patchas roms zip and sound files are in same place then rcmix. so i guess your case is the same as mine. check camera settings
