Oh Ok
Thanks

The "classic" Desire has a Green/Orange LED like the Desire HD
But with a App called "Led Me Know" you can easily change the LED color (in Blue/Magenta/Cyan)
But this app only work with the Green/Orange LED on the Desire HD
So i have question: Do you think the Desire HD has a "Bicolor" LED unlike the Desire that has a "multicolor" LED?
Sorry for my poor english

Actually you can't change the color to an other than greenor (as it is called in "led me know" amber) at least I didn't find the setting to do so. It only flashes either in green or orange.
Did I miss a certain setting?

IIRC, the devs had to mess with the kernel to get the blue led to work on the Desire. So it's possible that the same thing has to be done with DHD (if DHD really is using the same led as the Desire). I guess we could ask kali-, he's the one who made it work.

Anyone found a way to do this yet ?

Yeah I'm also interested in this. Would be nice to get the blue led again since I moved from the old Desire to the Desire HD and I used the blue led alot

i think the LED in the Desire HD is the same as in the HD2 ando only have 2 colors.

So weird to downgrade one of the coolest features from Desire ?

so is sure that our dhd have only 2 colours in led??

Subscribing to this thread, would like to change the colour to

Hi,
I inquired about the HTC.
The LED is the same as the HTC HD2.
It has only two colors.

You only have amber and green up top. White only for the trackball.
So there isn't a way to change the color for the led?

most android phones have a RGB LED for their notifaction, we only have red green as such you can have any color that is red green or orangey
if you were interested in swapping it out then yes in theory you could do more but those LED's are tiny and soldering them can be a pain
Oh alright thanks for the info. Seems like a lot of work to do...lol

Someone posted this in the other section of this forum not too long ago.

[Q] Grayscale UI and display

Hello.
I was just wondering - is there any option to make the phone work in grayscale by default? Some sort of global filter making everything look smoothly.black and white?
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using XDA App
Not that I'm aware of. If you rooted your phone, you could probably find a ROM with a theme that produced a similar effect.
Can I ask why you want this effect?
Actually I don't know.. but you could use the kitchen to cook the statusbar, the pop up menu and that stuff

[Q] Colors on the led notification?

I searched everywhere but so far every review fails to mention the led on the phone. Is it like that one x where it has one green and orange light or is it one multi colored light?
Thanks

HTC deem it as a 'trademark' so you will probs never see a full RGB notification light. Which is a shame tbh.

could be multi led.so sad
That's a shame. Seems like it's the only thing missing in this beast. Too bad it won't be available here for at least another month. Thanks to everyone who answered!

Recommended night clock app?

Hi there!
I still use my old CM7 Nexus One as night clock/alarm clock in a desktop cradle. I tried a few but haven't found a night clock app I like. Features I would like to have include a low light clock that move from time to time and keeping capacitive buttons dark.
Do you use a night clock which you can recommend?

I use 4.2s daydream clock and then an app that uses root to dim the capacitive buttons.

I use Gentle Alarm, does the job for me and you can even dim the display by sliding your finger down the side of the screen

I use deskclock, it's light an does the job, plus it's free.
I like Doubletwist Alarm. Looks very neat, has a great night mode too.

As the developer of that app, I just wanted to chime in here. First of all, thanks for linking to it! Second, I've done some work to make this app work correctly on the HTC One. If you'd like to try the latest beta version, please see the newly-created thread in the HTC One forums: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2402153. Thanks!
Gentle Alarm. It's packed with options. Can't go wrong with it.
