[Q] Otterbox replacement screen protectors - Streak 5 Accessories

Hi all,
I have a Otterbox Impact for my Streak. Unfortunately my unit is having problems and has to go back. Dell has already agreed to send a replacement unit and my Otterbox's screen protector is going with it (I'm pretty sure they're not reusable). I really like the screen protector but as far as I could see Otterbox does not sell replacements. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement screen protector? Thanks!

Boxwave.com has screen protectors for the streak and they're better than the ones that come with the otterbox.

Thanks for letting me know.

I sold my HD2 before I even got this in the mail, so I've got to sell it. I'll let it go for $10 shipped if anybody is interested.
Hi,
Where are you from? I'm from Canada and I might be interested
Hmm. I've heard that having a screen protector distorts the iPad display making it look bad. I wouldn't suggest a screen protector if you absolutely don't need one. My friend has the invisibleshield on is iPad and took it off a week later because of the way it made his screen look.

Case + Screen protector for my nexus 7

Hi. I got my nexus 7 32GB fo Xmas and i am really happy with it. But i need a case and screen protector, especially the case. It must be slim, and with stand/sleep function. Dont need anything more. So the best case would be similar to ipad smart cover for me. It must be an good quality product. And not so expensive
I need a screen protector too, as i scrached my galaxy nexus so badly, at i dont trust "scratch resistant glass" anymore. So i dont want to do the same thing to my tablet. Screen protector must be an good quality product.
Well, i can only buy from ebay. As in Denmark i can't see some screen protectors or cases for my nexus.
Price - max 35$.
I could choose case my self, but i dont know if they are good quality. Same for screen protector.
So i ask in this forum, at maybe you bought some of these cases, and how is quality of them.
So please, help me choose.
Thank you!
If you want a case similar to the smart cover, go buy an iPad mini and a smart cover. Problem solved
If I helped out, hit the thanks button.
There are plenty of types of case for the nexus 7 out there. I found that the main 2 are the silicon cases that cover the back, or the PU leather ones.
Now, I bought a PU leather case from a seller in China through AliExpress.com and it was fine; seller is a bit slow at dispatching it, but it gets there fine.
I bought mine with a stylus and screen protector - stylus is top notch, screen protector isn't very good at all (ended up buying one from eBay)
The company also sells just the case, which can be found here
You can look in his store for the other product (the one I bought), or click here
Case quality is very good, no problems with it. Just make sure to firmly close the tab inside it so that it doesn't move about. Can also expect a chemical smell for a day or two.

Griffin Survivor case

Im getting tired of taking my otterbox defender apart every week or so to clean the dust out from the screen. Is the griffin survivor case any better? Ive heard its good, from some ios friends, also does amazon sell it? Thanks.

Griffin doesn't make a Survivor case for the Note 2. There's a chinese knock off that many of us have. I'm not in a position to compare it to an Otterbox. You may want to ask on Vectron's review thread.
As drnihili-zztop (man, that is one cool beard!!!) correctly pointed out, some Chinese manufacturer took S3 design of Survivor and scaled it up for Note 2. The fitment is OK, but the screen quality of the plastic screen protector is cheap. My kids had Survivor for their iPod touch, and I can tell you with certainty it's not the same. It is usable though, and has a great drop protection.
Now, here is a bigger question, why do you even need to use built-in screen protector on your Defender? Otterbox screwed up the design of this case for Note 2. Every comment you read in this forum or any other forum or even Amazon reviews talk about the same thing - awful screen protector. It's not flush with a display, but rather slightly concave up. When you push on the screen protector it sucks in the air/dust from the opening of home button. That's how you get specks of dust and moisture in there. I would say most everybody remove that plastic protector as soon as they get the case (use hair dryer to soften the glue and push it out). Get yourself a decent screen protector like iSmooth or Spigen, and you are in business!

I love the otterbox itself but the screen protector is horrible and yes i have thought about taking it out and getting a zagg but i've read that if i use the s pen it can leave the some indents, then i heard about tempered glass screen protectors. I was very interested in the MIME glass screen protector, but i just don't want to spend the $40 on it if it wouldn't work good with the otterbox defender. Also i heard somewhere elses(i think android central forums) that otterbox was going to revise the defender, i've been waiting on it but i'm tired of waiting. If you can suggest a decent tempered glass screen protector that works with the defender i might give it a chance, or if griffen comes out with a survivor for the Note 2.

If you read MIME review on this forum, everybody had an issue of edges not sticking. Even so it's discounted at 1/2 off, I don't think anybody paid $40, but rather $20(?) I wouldn't recommend it. I'm using VITREO from Seidio: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2210365 and absolutely love it. Yes, its expensive and it's narrow so you don't have any non-sticking edge issues (N2 glass is curved toward the edge), but it also bullet proof. With Defender, I was a little anxious when I placed my Note 2 in it when I had plastic screen protector in, but once plastic screen protector was removed - it was perfect. Keep in mind, I wasn't using real Defender, but rather HK knock off which is 1:1 copy of it (in both quality, fitment, and dimensions). I had original Defender 3-4 months ago, and returned it back after a few days of use; couldn't stand that awful screen protector and the whole bulk wasn't justifiable. Been rocking UAG with VITREO until now when I just switched to ZL 9300 mAh battery and ZL tpu case. But still going back and forth between UAG and stock battery, and ZL setup.
Yep. The one real complaint I have about the fake Survivor is that the screen protector marks up pretty easily. They are still decent cases though and can be had pretty cheap.

Screen protector compatible w) otterbox defender?

Ever since I got my galaxy note 8 as the greatest x-mas gift ever, I've been searching for a compatible screen protector with the case I have right now. So far, I have an interest in rhino shield, b/c it looks like IT MIGHT be compatible with the otter box defender( the case I have now), but idk because I have no experience with any kind of screen protector with this phone. Of anyone has any recommendations for what screen protector I should get, please let me know.
P.S. I want this phone to look as perfect as when I first got it , so any screen protectors that leave a rainbow effect are a no go. Thanks for any input as it is greatly appreciated!
Do you want glass or a film protector? I have a wet-apply Spigen film protector for now and it's great with no rainbow or any other issue. I prefer glass, but the two I tried so far were horrible (Inskin and another brand I can't recall at the moment). Just ordered a Whitestone dome so we'll see how that stacks up. The Spigen film is a good backup option though.
I'm also interested in this.... I have the otterbox defender... dropped the phone yesterday. It must have landed on the corner of one of my steps on my front porch. Cracked the screen.
So I'm in the market either for some kind of really good screen protector to work with my Defender... or a new case altogether that actually covers the front of the phone, once I get my replacement.
Whitestone dome not compatible with Note8 and Otterbox defender - see youtube review

Looking For Case & Screen Protectors For LG V60.

So can someone suggest a good case for either the single or dual screen setup? Also I need screen protectors for the dual screen setup and Amazon didn't seem to have anything for the dual screen that were reasonable in price? Thanks in advance. [emoji846]

I have the LG V60 from T-mobile this is what I got from Supcase on amazon, it has a built in screen protector. No need for tempered glass with this case, in my opinion. These cases won't work with it anyway, the tempered glass is too thick.

You don't get the clicky sound from the gap between protector and phone screen? Last phone I tried that with was flat but that miniscule gap would make a "tap tap" sound, so I ripped off the built in. This was years ago tho, when I was still on Samsung before they ruined their screens
Supcase Unicorn with Zagg glass user here. No glass screen protector I have tried goes all the way to the edge of the screen.
Enough of a gap that the Supcase frame perfectly fits along the outside glass without overlap anywhere.
D-Max Armor glass is hot trash of a protector. Thinnest of the glass I've tried. Cracked in two days. LK glass didn't have good adhesive. Removed it because of the massive edge bubbles drove me crazy.
This Zagg glass works nice, but is not worth the price. This time I didnt even take the phone out of the Supcase to apply the glass.
