just tried it an it works. no samsung plugins though and it seem a bit laggy compared to Sense
is it an apk file??
Thanks, but as I so not like the samsung UI, I'll stick with my DHD's for now
I prefer sense too that is why I bought a DHD I was just curious about touchwiz UI.

I prefer Sense as well, but being able to freely organize apps on screens, instead of one large list, that shifts when adding or removing apps has something to it. I wish Sense got something like that.

I hear that if you want sense there is an option to purchase as droid incredible which will also give you froyo.
I really see no need for Sense UI anymore since Launcher Pro has sense widgets fully functional. Also, it is less of a resource hog like sense is.
I like the sense UI for some reason, just wondering if theres anything new about it coming out soon. Or is it dead now?
Any sense rom will be the same except for maybe a theme being incorporated and apps being added or removed. The froyo sense rom has a couple of extra not found in 2.1, but IMHO cm6 runs much better than sense. I use to love sense roms but for the last 6 months have been on cm6. I do like the HTC keyboard and some other things, but my performance now is a lot better without sense.

Probably not. The developers feel that sense slows down the performance of the device, which it does. So mostly all devs avoid sense at all. Though there are roms with partial sense, like menus, but no there isn't a full blown sense rom. Sorry.

Do any of you guys know of a
"2.2" Rom that has some of the same "Themed" Sense Widgets?
Such as... Music, Bookmarks, and maybe even the Lockscreen? That's Basically the Only thing keeping me Away from all the Non-Sense Roms, if anyone has a Suggestion Post it Please!!

Yeah Can we do that? I used a XE for a short time and i like its UI very much.
U can dwnld go launcher ex and sense theme from market and just apply it

The UI can't be ported because it's very complex, it isn't (as you know) only a graphic desing, it has widgets, programs etc and those are difficult to port.
As I know they never made a port of sense UI, for any devices

There are devices what do have sense ports but there isn't one I can think of that is fully functioning.

Yeah, I was talking about full functioning porting, not just a partial port ;-)

I HAVE SOMETHING TO SHOW YOU, I HAVE IMPLEMENTED A DIFFERENT Rosie launcher and some 3D widgets from a DHD Rom it looks very cool but have some issues like the clock from previous Rosie it's too small now and the new one from that Rom is not complete,also the 3D weather widget,the good thing is that this Rosie looks more like the one from One x... you have multiple home screens and you can pinch to zoom. I am using the the Three Musketeers Rom with Sense 4.0. I think that if that person that developt that rom would let us to use his work on our devices we could have a great rom, we don't have to use everything,we could at least use that Rosie launcher i think that is promising . Look the screenshoot, i am also adding the link to that Rom. Plis reply what you think about that, thanks http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1564950
Have you tried moving across the clock app from this build to see if the widget is then sized correctly?

Yes i did ,if i press the stock clock the one that looks small,and when i tried to move it to other screen then gets bigger like it should be ,but when released it looks small again. But in the app menu everything looks good ,except there are some icons partially visible in the bottom ,the stock is 4X4 this one looks more like 5X4

Try taking the resources apk file from the framework off the DHD ROM, that may sort some of your resize issues. maybe.

As a long time lover of Aosp (since froyo on my old cappy) I really miss it, the problem is I've fallen in love with sense 5. That's all I really care about in sense roms though. So I was wandering if it's possible to port the sense launcher to a gpe rom. Is it possible?

i think that would require loads of work but im not 100 % on that
Yeah its probably possible with tons of work, but I doubt anyone would take a lot of interest in porting it since honestly it's nothing special of a launcher and it's rather stale in features. Anyways, why do you want the sense 5 launcher over something like nova launcher or action launcher pro?

I guess that's understandable. I settled for Feely though since it's amazingly designed and I can customize it by websites I want easily. Still waiting for new widgets from them though.
